The villagers started discussing as soon as they heard this.

The village head’s son made it sound suspenseful, ntioning Interpol one mont and the town mayor the next.

Many of these villagers had never even seen the town mayor in their lifeti, let alone the Interpol they saw on TV; they didn’t even know what Interpol was.

Xiao Qiao gritted her teeth quietly upon hearing this, feeling that things were moving in an uncontrollable direction. Yet when she looked at Mrs. Qiao, she was still utterly fearless, determined to cling to Leng Yichen to ensure Xiao Qiao’s future comfort.

Not long after, a group of stern and imposing people walked over, and when the village head saw them, he noticed their town mayor was anxiously leading the way.

"Move aside! Quickly, make way!" The village head hurriedly dispersed the villagers gathered there, clearing a path. He jogged a few steps to greet them, "Mayor, why have you co?"

The mayor wasn’t pleasant, "Look at the good trouble your village has caused !" After saying that, he turned to the people behind him, "Officers, this way please!"

The village head was left behind, with his face twisted in confusion, barely having ti to think as he hurried along to follow them.

In no ti, the mayor led the group into the courtyard, where the villagers widened their eyes but dared not even breathe; they realized sothing significant had happened.

The first person to enter was soone Leng Yichen recognized, the captain of the city criminal investigation unit, along with Xiao Feng from the anti-drug unit, followed by the team handling Bai Yiran’s kidnapping case and the anti-drug squad mbers pursuing Wu Chengzu.

Gao Sheng was in a special position, unsuitable for revealing himself at this ti.

"Mr. Leng, it’s been a while!" The captain of the criminal investigation team and Xiao Feng approached to greet Leng Yichen, and soon noticed Bai Yiran beside him.

"Mrs. Leng, it’s truly a relief to see you’re okay!" the captain of the criminal investigation team exclaid excitedly.

Upon hearing this, the villagers realized that these police were personally brought by the mayor and were all calling Old Li’s foolish daughter-in-law Mrs. Leng; turns out they really were a couple!

Old Li’s face stiffened upon seeing the scene, looking up to et the murderous glare of the village head.

After a brief exchange, Bai Yiran revealed the hiding place of Wu Chengzu and Yao Zhiqing, and the mayor imdiately found villagers familiar with the terrain to accompany the police up the mountain overnight.

A day and a night had passed, and the police could basically conclude that Wu Chengzu and his group had fled once again, but that did not an they left no trace. Furthermore, according to Bai Yiran’s testimony, Wu Chengzu and Yao Zhiqing had already contacted a ship departing for T Country that night. Ti was of the essence, and the police began to act separately.

The criminal investigation and anti-drug unit officers quickly left the scene after a brief handover, leaving only local police to handle on-site matters.

Only at this point did the villagers realize that there were indeed drug dealers hiding among them, and that woman had been kidnapped.

At this ti, twenty n dressed in black suits, described by the village head’s son as looking like Interpol, stepped forward in unison, leaving the villagers wide-eyed, unsure of the n’s identity.

The twenty n walked up to Leng Yichen and Bai Yiran, nodding uniformly in greeting, "Mr. Leng, Madam! Our apologies for arriving late!"

Leng Yichen had called them before heading up the mountain in the morning to search for Bai Yiran; the mountain was too large, and searching with just Wang Hai seed endless. So he got so people to join the search, but the road to town was only fully repaired by evening, allowing them to enter together with the police investigating the case.
