In the yard, Leng Yichen was growing a bit impatient and said to Wang Hai, "Go check, why isn’t she out yet?"
As soon as Wang Hai turned around, he saw Xiao Qiao being awkwardly pushed out by Mrs. Qiao, her face flushed.

Xiao Qiao blushingly jogged to catch up. Before her mother ca ho, she thought there was no possibility between her and Leng Yichen. He loved his wife so much, there’s no way he’d fancy a countryside girl like her.
But after hearing her mother’s words today, she started thinking maybe there was a chance with Leng Yichen after all. At least, his words just now showed he cared about her.
Actually, the reason Leng Yichen said those words was to prevent innocent Xiao Qiao from getting involved. Moreover, if sothing really happened to a girl like her, it would be troubleso for him too.
Yesterday, in his hurry to get up the mountain to find Bai Yiran, Leng Yichen hadn’t thought it through and let Xiao Qiao follow, but thinking back now, yesterday’s actions were really inappropriate.
Mrs. Qiao followed the three of them out of the house, waving at their backs, "Be safe, co back soon! I’ll have dinner ready when you’re back!"
Her attitude was like seeing off her daughter and son-in-law to work, Leng Yichen’s face darkened, he didn’t look back and just quickened his pace.

The neighbor lady was skeptical and internally unbalanced, "You’re the one saying all this, who would believe it?"
Seeing the neighbor lady didn’t believe her, Mrs. Qiao was all in now. Anyway, she’d set her sights on this Boss Leng, and co what may, he’d be her son-in-law!
