The sentence from Leng Yichen, "Because I can’t live without you," kept playing over and over in her mind.

How could it be? How could he not live without her?

Could it be that he really had fallen in love with her? But they clearly hadn’t spent much ti together.

Love at first sight?

Is that possible?

Bai Yiran didn’t think there was anything special about her that could attract a successful man like Leng Yichen.

The more Bai Yiran thought about it, the more agitated she beca, and the more agitated she was, the harder it was to sleep, and the harder it was to sleep, the more she thought.

The entire night, her mind was filled with images of Leng Yichen.

She wondered if she was poisoned or sothing; it was terrifying.

Sure enough, the next morning Bai Yiran ca downstairs with dark circles under her eyes to have breakfast.

"Yiran! Morning!" Sister Liu hadn’t seen Bai Yiran for a while, and she was especially happy to see her.

"Morning, Sister Liu..."

Bai Yiran sat weakly at the dining table but saw that Leng Yichen was still looking energetic and incredibly handso.

Leng Yichen noticed Bai Yiran’s dark circles, "Didn’t sleep well last night?"

"Hmm..." Bai Yiran replied in a drawn-out tone.

"Eat your breakfast quickly, then go upstairs to rest." Leng Yichen carefully served her a bowl of congee.

Congee again?

Bai Yiran knew that compared to Chinese breakfasts, Leng Yichen preferred Western ones, so Sister Liu usually prepared Western breakfasts, but today she had prepared congee.

Looking at the way Leng Yichen served her congee, Bai Yiran’s heart inexplicably ward; this breakfast was prepared for her, because her stomach was uncomfortable after a hangover.

Bai Yiran took a bite of the congee, which was thick and delicious, clearly having been simred long and hard.

"Leng Yichen, I can choose not to divorce you, but you have to agree to my conditions." Bai Yiran put down the congee bowl and looked directly at Leng Yichen. If she couldn’t escape this marriage, she had to fight for her rightful interests.

"Tell ." Leng Yichen put down his utensils and looked at Bai Yiran.

"First, let my uncle resu his original position."

"Okay."

"Second, I don’t want Wang Hai as my driver anymore! I don’t want him following ! I want to go out on my own from now on!"

"No way!" Leng Yichen frowned. "It’s okay not to have Wang Hai follow you, I’ll get you a female driver instead."

"How about this, you give a car, and I can drive myself, right?"

Leng Yichen scoffed, "So you can crash into soone else again?"

Bai Yiran was montarily speechless, her face slightly red, "You and I both know, last ti was a setup, it wasn’t because of my driving skills!"

Leng Yichen stared at Bai Yiran’s determined face and sighed, "Alright then, you can go pick a car from the garage yourself in a bit. Any other requests?"

Bai Yiran sat up straight and said with unprecedented seriousness, "I want to work at Huai International. I don’t need your special care, nor do I need you to make our relationship public. Just give a position to prove myself."

Leng Yichen hadn’t expected Bai Yiran to make such a request. He always kept his career and family separate and didn’t want his family involved in his company’s matters.

Just when Bai Yiran thought Leng Yichen would refuse her, Leng Yichen spoke calmly, "I can agree to let you work at Huai, but you have to start from the bottom, and in the company, we are just boss and employee. No matter what issue you encounter, I won’t help you, and if one day you get fired, it’ll definitely be your own problem."

"Okay, as long as you don’t interfere, I believe in my own abilities!" Bai Yiran vowed confidently.
