When Bai Yiran woke up in the morning, the space beside her was already empty. She wasn’t sure when Leng Yichen had woken up, though he always had the habit of getting up early to exercise.

She sighed, feeling sowhat hollow inside. This should be their first cold war since they remarried, and Bai Yiran really didn’t like this way of interacting. She decided to have a good talk with Leng Yichen today.

After finishing her morning routine, Bai Yiran went to Xiao Lang’s room and woke him up, as he still needed to go to kindergarten. Recently, Bai Yiran noticed that Xiao Lang seed quite popular with the girls at kindergarten, as almost every day he brought ho gifts from little girls in his backpack.

Xiao Lang dressed himself and stood by the bed, stretching out his arms for Bai Yiran to carry him off. As soon as she lifted him, a sudden pain struck her lower abdon. She put Xiao Lang back on the bed and took a mont to rest until the pain gradually subsided.

"Mom, what happened to you?" Xiao Lang asked, looking at Bai Yiran.

"Nothing." The pain had already disappeared. Bai Yiran moved and felt fine again; she thought she must have just strained herself. Planning to carry Xiao Lang again, he shook his head and insisted that she shouldn’t carry him.

Sister Liu had already prepared breakfast, waiting for Bai Yiran and Xiao Lang to co out and eat.

"Sister Liu, where is Leng Yichen?" Bai Yiran asked as she sat down.

"Sir left early this morning," Sister Liu replied, observing Bai Yiran’s reaction.

"Oh." Bai Yiran said nothing more, lowering her head to continue eating. In her heart, she cursed Leng Yichen.

"Yiran, did you and Sir have a fight?" Sister Liu looked worried.

"Sister Liu, we’re fine," Bai Yiran said muffledly, a piece of bread still in her mouth.

"Well, as long as you’re okay." Sister Liu still seed uneasy, "You both worked so hard to co together, you mustn’t get upset over small things. Sir bears a lot of pressure outside, Yiran, you need to understand him more."

"I understand, Sister Liu." Bai Yiran nodded, knowing that Leng Yichen indeed faced a lot of stress.

After dropping off Xiao Lang, on her way to the company, Bai Yiran called Leng Yichen once more.

This ti, Leng Yichen answered after two rings.

"Hello." Leng Yichen’s voice ca through the phone, sounding neither gentle nor enthusiastic, almost identical to how he spoke when answering his employees.

Bai Yiran paused and asked, "Where are you?"

"At the airport."

"Airport?"

"Yes, going to H City to handle so matters, about three days."

Bai Yiran’s mood instantly dropped, "Why didn’t you tell ?"

"Last-minute decision."

This kind of conversation ignited a fire in Bai Yiran’s heart. Was Leng Yichen still holding a grudge against her?

"Be safe." After saying these four words, Bai Yiran hung up the phone abruptly.

Leng Yichen put away his phone, looking at the chocolate that Wang Hai had found and brought back yesterday. He quickly unwrapped it, and a card fell out, written by Bai Yiran.

Dear husband, thank you for always taking care of , love you~

The corners of Leng Yichen’s previously downturned lips instantly lifted. He popped a piece of chocolate into his mouth, the sweet taste filling his entire mouth.

He thought that if he didn’t act this way, Bai Yiran wouldn’t realize the seriousness of the situation. Considering he was unsure about who Wu Chengzu was, even if it was his own daughter, Leng Yichen didn’t want Bai Yiran getting close.
