Wu Chengzu, wearing a tailored suit, looked at Bai Yiran with a gentleman’s smile, "I really didn’t expect to see you here."
"Yes, I didn’t expect it either."
Wu Chengzu stood up from his seat and took a step towards Bai Yiran, "I told you, I believe in our destiny."
Bai Yiran was taken aback. Wu Chengzu’s words made it sound like he knew they would et again. But he probably just said it casually, not expecting it to actually co true.
"What? You two know each other?" Yao Zhiqing also stood up, first looking at Bai Yiran with a puzzled expression, then smiling at Wu Chengzu.
Wu Chengzu nodded, "Yes, Miss Bai and I t on a plane."
"I see!" Yao Zhiqing said with a tone of realization.
Wu Chengzu turned to Bai Yiran, "We haven’t officially introduced ourselves. My na is Wu Chengzu. I was abroad for a long ti and recently ca back to start a small business."
Yao Zhiqing teased, "Is your business really small? You’ve bought the seven floors downstairs."
Bai Yiran said in surprise, "Mr. Wu, so you’re the owner of the company downstairs?"
It turns out the man who wowed Xiao Zhang was Wu Chengzu!
"Yes, that’s right." Wu Chengzu nodded and then said, "We’ll be neighbors from now on, so I ca up to say hello."
Bai Yiran thought, Wu Chengzu’s manners are a bit too thorough, it’s just two completely unrelated companies in the sa building, and yet he still ca up to say hello. Besides, his company hasn’t even started yet, isn’t it a bit early for greetings?
"Her na is Bai Yiran, she’s my assistant."
Before Bai Yiran could introduce herself, Yao Zhiqing had already done it for her. Bai Yiran looked at her and said nothing.

Xiao Zhang was the first to dive in, "Yiran, did you see him? He’s the owner of the company downstairs!"
"Yes, I saw..." Because Xiao Zhang was so close, Bai Yiran could even see the blackheads on her face.

Bai Yiran was speechless. Having interacted with n like Leng Yichen or Yin Tianshen, Wu Chengzu didn’t make that much of an impression on her. "Don’t you think he seems a bit old?"
"Older is better!" Xiao Zhang bead, "He’s such a stylish older guy! I really like him!"
And so, the topic of Wu Chengzu kept those fangirls chattering all afternoon. Even when the workday ended, they were still discussing whether Wu Chengzu was married, had kids, what his wife might be like if he were married, and if he weren’t, whether they should give it a shot...
Amid these discussions, Bai Yiran walked out of the building. Just as she was about to head to her rental apartnt, a black rcedes-Benz stopped in front of her. The driver got out and opened the back door, and the topic of the conversation, Wu Chengzu, appeared in front of Bai Yiran and the fangirls.
"Miss Bai, would you do the honor of joining for dinner?" Wu Chengzu’s voice was gentle.
"Well, tonight I..." Bai Yiran wanted to decline; she didn’t want to get into the car with Wu Chengzu in front of all those fangirls.
Wu Chengzu smiled, "Don’t refuse. Just see it as old friends catching up. Or don’t you consider a friend, Miss Bai?" Seeing Bai Yiran still hesitating, Wu Chengzu continued, "Even if we’re not friends, we might beco business partners, right?"
A simple dinner beca a potential business eting.
"Alright then." Enduring the envious stares of the fangirls, Bai Yiran got into Wu Chengzu’s car. The driver closed the door, and the car drove off.
