When Bai Yiran ca out, she saw Leng Yichen leaning against the car, smoking. Today, he drove himself; Wang Hai did not accompany him. Bai Yiran looked at him and the Bugatti behind him. He seldom drives himself, and the utilization rate of those sports cars in the garage is not very high. When Bai Qianyu returned ho, Gu Manli was mopping the floor. Watching Gu Manli, bent over with the mop, a burst of frustration surged within Bai Qianyu. She felt that mopping the floor was an embarrassing task for Gu Manli, even if no one saw it.

Gu Manli was taken aback. What had gotten into Bai Qianyu? But looking at her expression, she seed to have suffered so blow. "What’s wrong with you?"
Gu Manli bent down to pick up the mop, but Bai Qianyu kicked it away. "Mom! You’re a lady of a wealthy family! This isn’t sothing you should be doing!"
"Otherwise, what? Watch the floor get dirty?" Gu Manli replied with a sarcastic expression.
"We can hire soone to do it!" Bai Qianyu said, lifting her head arrogantly.
"Are you going to pay?" Gu Manli looked at Bai Qianyu, "You’re working now; surely you’re getting a salary?"
Bai Qianyu frowned. Her salary wasn’t even enough for herself. She couldn’t bear to buy the handbags she liked, let alone afford extras to help the family.
"Water! Get water!" ca the sickly voice of Bai Hongguang from the master bedroom.
Gu Manli frowned, a trace of disgust flashing in her eyes, yet she still poured a glass and took it to the bedroom.
After the Bai Family collapse, Bai Hongguang had a hospital stay as he couldn’t cope with the blow. Later, he unexpectedly had a stroke, and now he lay in bed, unable to care for himself, though his mind remained clear.
Gu Manli brought the water to Bai Hongguang’s lips, and he drank half, spilling half, with so of his saliva mixed in the spilled water.
At this mont, Gu Manli’s patience reached its limit. She had sched to marry Bai Hongguang for a life of luxury, not to live like this!
Leaving Bai Hongguang soaked in water, she turned and left the bedroom with the glass in hand.
"Qianyu, you’re right!" Gu Manli’s gaze was filled with ruthlessness, "I’ve had enough of this kind of life too!"
