A lot of people gathered in front of the coffee shop. A perfectly fine shop was suddenly trashed like this, and the onlookers couldn’t help but speculate on the cause of the incident.
"What else could it be? The lady boss of this shop definitely isn’t proper, offended the wrong person!" Brother Leopard’s voice was extrely loud in the crowd. He saw that the person who trashed the shop was Yin Tianshen and assud Bai Yiran had offended Yin Tianshen, which is why he ruined her shop.
The last ti his car was hit, he had pent-up anger in his heart. Although Yin Tianshen compensated him with no small sum, the restaurant’s business plumted because of it. Brother Leopard didn’t dare to get angry at Yin Tianshen, and seeing Bai Yiran in a worse situation sohow gave him so balance in his heart.
Just as people were speculating while listening to Brother Leopard’s sarcastic remarks, a Maybach slowly drove over, dispersing the crowd gathered at the door.
Bai Yiran rushed down from the car, exclaiming in shock at the scene before her as she ran into the coffee shop.
The other car door opened, and Leng Yichen stepped out with his long legs, his face stern, sweeping a gaze over the curious onlookers.
The appearance of Leng Yichen made the crowd whisper, Brother Leopard squinted his eyes and sarcastically said, "I wondered why the shop was trashed, turns out it’s because of infidelity, so there was revenge!"
There’s a saying that if you don’t court death, you won’t die, and clearly Brother Leopard didn’t know at that mont that his remark would lead to his downfall.
Leng Yichen’s cold gaze shot over, and Brother Leopard shivered all over, as if frozen by that stare. He shut his mouth tightly, daring not to say another word.
Inside the coffee shop, Lou Jing was cleaning up the ss with Xiao Zhou and Li Sha. Although Yin Tianshen caused a big commotion, he hadn’t completely destroyed the shop, only breaking so tables, chairs, and utensils.
When the incident happened, Bai Yiran and Lou Jing were not there; only Li Sha and Xiao Zhou were in the store. Li Sha’s face was sowhat swollen, probably from a scuffle during the incident. Xiao Zhou, however, remained unhard. Bai Yiran, receiving the call earlier, heard Xiao Zhou’s miserable voice, but now there were no visible injuries on her.
The shop was opened with money from both Bai Yiran and Lou Jing, and now it would definitely have to close for a few days due to the damage. Bai Yiran felt very apologetic, as it was after all her fault that this happened.
Lou Jing, on the other hand, was relieved that Bai Yiran wasn’t in the shop when Yin Tianshen trashed it. To her, money can be earned again; a shop can be reopened, but a friend like Bai Yiran is one of a kind.
The arrival of Leng Yichen startled everyone. Lou Jing looked at him with a hostile expression, "What are you doing here!"
Leng Yichen acknowledged this friend of Bai Yiran’s, at least she was one of the few who genuinely treated Bai Yiran well. So, even though her attitude toward him was harsh, he tolerated it for Bai Yiran’s sake.
"I asked you why you’re here! Isn’t it enough that you’ve hurt our Yiran already!" Lou Jing stood in front of Bai Yiran with a broom, glaring at Leng Yichen.
Bai Yiran tugged at Lou Jing from behind, "Lou Jing, don’t get angry for now, he’s here with ."
"Yiran!" Lou Jing glared at Bai Yiran, thinking she had softened because of the child.
"Lou Jing, don’t get excited, there’s a reason for all this. I’ll explain it to you in detail later."
With Bai Yiran’s words, Lou Jing didn’t say anything more, though she still looked displeased at Leng Yichen.
Leng Yichen looked around, "Can you still sleep here tonight with it in this state?"
Bai Yiran lowered her head to pick up a broom, helping Lou Jing and the others clean up, "The bedroom is inside, it should be okay."
Leng Yichen frowned, snatching the broom from Bai Yiran’s hands, "You can’t be doing manual labor like this now." He said before tossing the broom to the ground, "Wang Hai, hire so part-ti workers to clean up here."
With ease, Leng Yichen resolved the matter of cleaning up. This ti, Bai Yiran learned her lesson and didn’t object to his decision. After all, hiring soone to clean was better than doing it themselves.
At this mont, Leng Yichen’s phone rang. The caller ID made his expression turn serious, "Speak."
A single word, then a long silence followed, "Alright, I understand. Stay safe."
Bai Yiran didn’t know what the phone call was about, but seeing Leng Yichen’s reaction, she knew it must be sothing significant.
After hanging up, Leng Yichen approached Bai Yiran, "I have so matters to attend to, so I’ll be leaving first. The part-ti workers Wang Hai hired will be here soon. Don’t touch any of this stuff, you hear?"
With that, before Bai Yiran could respond, Leng Yichen turned and left in a hurry, his eyes intense and serious, giving Bai Yiran a feeling that sothing was bound to happen.
"Sister Bai, was that just now your ex-husband?" Xiao Zhou approached, watching Leng Yichen’s back as he asked.
"Yes, indeed! That heartless man!" Lou Jing snapped.
Bai Yiran glanced at Lou Jing and nodded at Xiao Zhou.
"Didn’t your ex-husband have a girlfriend? Didn’t you get divorced because of that woman?" Xiao Zhou curiously inquired.
"You’re really bad at speaking!" Lou Jing glared at Xiao Zhou, then mumbled, "Who knows what his deal is, coming around to ss things up every now and then! It was him who wanted the divorce, now it’s him causing chaos!"
Xiao Zhou listened to Lou Jing, eyes flickering, lowering his head in contemplation.
