a sizzling sound erupted.
The shield rapidly corroded.
The bearded man’s face fell.
He frantically poured more Magical Power into the shield, his nerves stretched taut. He watched the smoke-filled surroundings for the slightest sign of movent, not daring to act rashly.
But,
a quarter of an hour later,
the blood-red smoke gradually dissipated.
In front of them,
the area was empty.
Where was any sign of Shen Changchuan?
