In Master Yan’s backyard, Chu Lingguang stirred the Wind and Wave Power while Guo Wei offered guidance from the side.
A halo of light encircled his Dantian Qi Sea. The black hole reappeared above the Qi Sea, refining the Wind and Wave Power that entered his body.
Qi Sea Perfection was rely a manifestation of his realm. It didn’t an the power within his Qi Sea had reached a state of completion, unable to absorb anything more. On the contrary, achieving Qi Sea Perfection was what truly allowed one to be like an ocean fed by a hundred rivers, capable of absorbing a ceaseless stream of power.
Therefore, even if Chu Lingguang’s realm wasn’t advancing, his strength could continue to grow. The size of his Qi Sea determined how much power he could absorb, allowing it to continuously transform under the influx of that power.
Under Guo Wei’s guidance, Chu Lingguang’s control over the Wind and Wave Power had beco masterful. His Dantian acted like an invisible black hole, refining the Wind and Wave Power into Sea of Qi Power.
An entire morning passed. Guo Wei sensed that Chu Lingguang’s Qi Power had strengthened sowhat.
He said, "Your control over the Wind and Wave Power is already exquisite, but it’s only at the second level. You’re still one step away from reaching the third."
"Master, how can I cross into the third level and reach the realm of Unity of Heaven and Man that you spoke of before?" Chu Lingguang inquired.
Guo Wei had already made it clear to him: once his control of the Wind and Wave Power reached the state of Unity of Heaven and Man, he would be able to use it to discover more forms of Potential Power.
’Guer Khan could master two types of Potential Power, which obviously ant he had already reached the realm of Unity of Heaven and Man. If not for my own mastery of Spear Intent and Flesh and Blood Divine Abilities, I would have been no match for him on an equal footing.’
"Communicate."
Guo Wei said only one word.
Only then did he add, "Cultivation is about gaining power from responses, fusing different streams of power together to break through your body’s shackles. Any form of Potential Power, just like your own flesh, blood, and ridians, can respond to you. Your control over the Wind and Wave Power is exquisite, but it lacks vitality. The power you command hasn’t co alive yet. When you finally sense it awaken, it will allow you to step into the realm of Unity of Heaven and Man and guide you to find more forms of Potential Power."
As Guo Wei spoke, he gently raised a hand.
A Qi Vortex materialized out of thin air above his palm. It wasn’t his Qi Power taking shape, nor was it a manifestation of True Qi. It was Potential Energy condensing in his palm to form a whirlwind.
’Chu Lingguang knew Guo Wei had definitely mastered multiple types of Potential Energy.’
’But he had only ever seen Guo Wei command the Canal Power, and just recently, absorb the Wind and Wave Power right from his control. This Qi Vortex in his palm now, however, was pure wind.’
"The foundation of my Unity of Heaven and Man is this wind in my hand. Even the White Tiger within my Dantian is intricately linked to it. This wind power is like the very blood in my veins. Not only can I understand its responses, I can even feel its emotional changes."
VRRRR!
As he spoke, the Qi Vortex in his palm began to spin madly, like an angry child, and a small tornado kicked up in the backyard.
Chu Lingguang’s Perception Power was imnse. He sent out a Spiritual Sense Fluctuation and discovered that Guo Wei’s control over the wind was so complete that his will alone was in command. With a single thought, he could summon wind from thin air.
’However, this power still needed to be gathered. If one could whip up a terrifying tornado in the blink of an eye, that person’s control over Potential Energy would have likely surpassed the realm of Unity of Heaven and Man, perhaps even transcending the limits of a True Martial Realm expert.’
’Guo Wei clearly hadn’t reached that level yet. Still, the ability to control Potential Energy at will with just his thoughts was, in Chu Lingguang’s eyes, an achievent far beyond his own reach.’
"When you find that the Wind and Wave Power around you flows like your own blood, feeling both intimate and powerful, that is when you have reached the realm of Unity of Heaven and Man."
"Don’t be impatient. First, try to feel the fluctuations within the power itself. Let it beco inseparable from you. This is no longer about simply *using* a force; you must help it find its own vitality. Slowly, you will begin to feel its every response," Guo Wei said patiently.
The Qi Vortex in his palm vanished, but a gentle wind spread out from his body in all directions. As it blew past Chu Lingguang’s face, he felt as if Guo Wei’s own hand had gently brushed his cheek.
"Thank you for your guidance, Master. I will do my best to comprehend it," Chu Lingguang said with a nod.
He then left Master Yan’s courtyard, went back to the inland waterway, and rowed a small fishing boat out onto the Canal.
WHOOSH!
Chu Lingguang stood at the stern of the boat. With a casual flick of his hand, the Wind and Wave Power struck the water’s surface, and the small fishing boat shot upstream against the current.
’Cultivation isn’t sothing you can achieve in a single leap.’
’Everything had to be taken one step at a ti. Chu Lingguang kept Guo Wei’s words firmly in his heart, contemplating them carefully each day, but reaching the realm of Unity of Heaven and Man was not as easy as he had imagined.’
The days flew by.
In the blink of an eye, a month had passed.
Only one month remained until the Provincial Martial Arts Examination.
For the past month, Chu Lingguang had been continuously trying to communicate with the Wind and Wave Power, attempting to make it co alive and help him obtain more forms of Potential Power.
Unfortunately, despite his diligent training and Guo Wei’s guidance, Chu Lingguang had spent the entire month stuck on the verge of a breakthrough, just one final step away.
Guo Wei had advised him not to be too hasty. He suggested Chu Lingguang try shifting his focus elsewhere, for instance, by attempting to communicate with his Dantian to see if he could awaken any power from within it.
