The more Michael learned about this new world, the weirder it felt. A ga like this should make life super easy... right? Probably not.

Aside from energy monsters, I doubt anyone can respawn. And even if they call it respawning, what appears later and what appeared before have nothing to do with each other.

"Anything else? I want to know as much as possible."

Before venturing into this unfamiliar world, Michael thought it best to gather as much information as possible. Even if it wasn’t useful, it would at least be better than knowing nothing at all.

[There’s more, but I’m only telling you up to this point. Even if you ask, I won’t answer anything else. Go there yourself and figure it out. The path of a genie has to rely on your own effort. You can’t just ask about everything.]

The system dropped that irresponsible line and went into silent mode. It completely ignored Michael’s existence no matter what he did.

???

This is a support system? Working with that kind of attitude and still daring to call itself a support system. And with that tone too.

"Damn it, get out here. I’m not done talking yet. I still have a lot of questions."

No matter how loudly he yelled, the system acted deaf and didn’t respond at all.

"Then how am I supposed to know who the chosen one is? Isn’t that your job to choose? If you don’t say anything, how can I work? And what about the stuff you promised ? Why are you just staying silent?"

Michael smirked confidently. He was sure the system couldn’t ignore this question because it was its responsibility.

[Perfect timing, we’ve arrived. Let have you try out an extrely special feature of the magic lamp. You can use this feature once per world. Note: if you don’t use it, you lose the chance. It doesn’t carry over to another world.]

Michael was stunned. What kind of feature could make the system talk like this? Does this magic lamp have so special ability? Could it let him escape to another world or reverse ti or sothing?

His random, scattered thoughts were kind of off the mark. But the power of the magic lamp that he was allowed to use wasn’t that terrifying.

[Just try it and you’ll see. While you’re at it, let’s go see our chosen one as well.]

Right then, two extrely bizarre objects fell from nowhere. One looked like a VR headset; the other, like a toy steering wheel. And of course, both were solid blocks.

Just a quick look and they seed super heavy. Putting that thing on your head would snap your neck in a second, and holding that steering wheel for long would definitely tire your arm out.

"Are you ssing with ?"

Michael pouted as he looked at the two pieces of scrap tal that just fell. Other than selling them for junk, what could these even do?

[In this space, throw away all that ’science’ stuff you’re thinking about. It’s not enough to explain this. Just try it and you’ll see, I promise you won’t feel any weight.]

Even though he didn’t believe what the system said one bit, Michael still put that thing that looked like a VR headset on.

The mont he put it on, his whole body froze like a statue. Not because of so special effect from the weird device, but because he was shocked by what he was seeing.

In his field of vision appeared a vast forest stretching out like it had no end. The trees looked both familiar and strange but were unbelievably massive. Giant beasts with bizarre shapes, like sothing straight out of mythology, were fighting each other, basically like moving bombs destroying everything in their path.

"Those things must be energy monsters, right, system? So where are we right now?"

He asked but still kept staring intently at the magnificent natural scene below. Based on the current perspective, he was flying at least a few thousand ters high... Wait, a few thousand ters? Since when was his eyesight this good?

"Hold on, what’s wrong with my eyes? And my brain too. How is it processing this much sharp imagery?"

He’d used that ’old’ body of his for decades. He knew its limits well. The mont he encountered sothing illogical, he noticed it imdiately.

[You’re a genie now, and you’re inside the magic lamp. Having slightly better vision is normal, isn’t it? Besides, what kind of crappy god would have a brain that can’t handle this little bit of information?]

Michael heard that and couldn’t argue back. Having just beco a genie, he still defaulted to thinking of himself as human. He kept using human logic to judge how extraordinary he was now.

Suddenly he noticed three small dots flying past at speeds like airplanes. Estimated about half the speed of sound... Wait, how could he just look and imdiately guess the speed?

Looking closer, he saw it was three people flying in a way that made no logical sense... Actually, maybe there was so logic because their flying posture clearly followed aerodynamics, but their outfits were so bulky that it felt both reasonable and unreasonable at the sa ti.

"System, they’re about to fly away. Is the chosen one one of those three? What do I do? I can’t move."

Michael was panicking. If he missed them, who knows what would happen. He could tell from the look of those three that they were clearly doing sothing extrely important, plus they were already pretty badly injured.

[That’s not the chosen one. As for moving, just use that steering wheel. Squeeze to go forward, relax your hand to stop. Don’t worry about inertia or anything else because inside the magic lamp you’re completely isolated from the outside world.]

Even though he didn’t really trust that this scrap-tal steering wheel could actually do anything, Michael had no other choice. He grabbed the wheel and did as the system said, squeezing hard. The scene before him suddenly changed, leaving him no ti to process what just happened.
