A few lessons after, was lunch break. Kaiser silently left the class, his departure unnoticed. He had planned to relax, but the school’s system intrigued him too much. Thus, he set out to explore the school grounds.
As he passed by the cafeteria, he noticed several first years speaking to their upperclassn about various things. So chatted idly, so talked about their experience, while so talked about school clubs and rules.
Yet, although the seniors engaged them, they were always hesitant in sharing information about the school rules.
’Good grief. It seems there’s a hidden secret. What is it, I wonder?’
Shaking his head, he moved away from the cafeteria, then walked towards the school clubs building and training grounds.
The first club he observed was the Spear Club. From afar, he could clearly see what was going on in their training ground.
Unexpectedly, the upperclassn were seriously training with vigor, as if sothing unseen was fueling their resolve.
’Oh? I noticed this yesterday too. It seems these seniors lack credits. Though there are so who are financially stable. Is there a ranking for students or classes?’
Keeping his thoughts to himself, he moved on. By the ti he was done scouting the clubs, he had co to a realization.
’Magnificient. This academy is quite vicious. Lulling the students into a false sense of security and complacency. Quite effective, but nothing special.’
Smiling faintly to himself, he made his way to the Training Facility. It was an enormous building; as large as two football stadiums combined, painted white.
Gazing up at the top of the building, Kaiser suddenly felt small. Ignoring the sensation, he walked in. The receptionist politely asked him how long he wanted to train.
"Ten minutes." He said indifferently.
"That’d cost you ten credits." She replied, then swiped his Student ID across the scanner, deducting the money.
With permission, Kaiser approached one of the empty innurable training rooms and swiped his card.
With a soft hiss, the door slid open, allowing him to behold its spacious interior. And as soon as he stepped inside, the runes on his limiter deactivated, allowing him access to his abilities.
Inside, several equipnts used to train the body physically were present. Even the amount of spirit essence in the air was denser. At the far end of the room, a slim red robot stood dormant, its purpose obvious. It was ant to serve as a training dummy.
Kaiser outright ignored the training equipnt. They were of lesser quality to those he used in the clan. Instead, he was more curious about how good the AI automaton worked.
’Oh? This might be interesting.’
In the clan, even before he awakened, he had always fought against humans and beasts, not robots. Unlike robots, humans and beasts were more inherently shrewd. They were cunning, had ferocious resolve and possessed killing intent. Therefore, he was curious about the Academy’s robots.
Unard, Kaiser stepped before the robot.
"Activate the dummy and set it to Level Three."
In response, a chanic voice resounded from the room itself.
["Are you sure? Threat level would be astronomical for your grade."]
He waved indifferently. "Nevermind. I’ll face it."
["Response received. You may proceed."]
Instantly, Kaiser’s deanor changed. His aura flared like a wild creature, and his sharp azure eyes focused on the stirring robot who was slowly unsheathing its sword.
Suddenly, it vanished.
’Amazing!’
Kaiser ducked, barely dodging the blade that swept above him, cutting a few strands of blue hair.
Before the robot could follow up, a brutal kick struck its breastplate, pushing it back slightly.
Using the montum, Kaiser distanced himself from it, then reassessed the robot. In that brief clash, he realized. Although the robot didn’t possess human unpredictability, its intelligence was very high. Coupled with its absurd speed and strength, it was definitely a formidable training dummy.
"Quite impressive for a re dummy."
Before he could think further, the robot attacked again. It moved at a speed that far surpassed his. Unexpectedly, Kaiser’s azure eyes followed every of its movent. If the robot was a human, it’d have surely been stunned.
Utilizing [Eyes of Sequence], his soul trait, he was able to read the robot’s movent and trajectory.
’Goodness gracious... isn’t this a cheat?’
He flipped over the blade, its sharp edge missing him by an inch. Then, he counterattacked.
Before the robot could retract its sword arm, Kaiser’s heel smashed into its face, sending it staggering. Unfortunately, that was just the beginning. Hooking his feet around its neck, he let himself dangle from its neck then attacked its knee joints.
With raw strength, he pulled them apart, sparks flying as the joints gave away.
As the robot crashed to the ground, Kaiser did a front-flip, ensuring the robot crashed to the ground face-first.
Boom!
The room trembled slightly from its weight while Kaiser planted his feet directly at the back of its head.
["Result achieved - Victory."]
Kaiser calmly stepped away from the robot, his expression blank.
’Impressive. This robot actually made use my full strength. Quite outstanding.’
A faint spark flickered in his eyes. It had been a while since sothing made his blood move. Even his little spar with Chad hadn’t been this exciting. Finally, he turned to a top corner of the room and asked casually.
"Enjoying the show, Chairman Jonathan?"
The question hung in the air like a cloud of smoke. Silence reigned after it, until Kaiser finally left the training room.
Earlier, imdiately after he left the classroom, he had noticed that a gaze was deeply fixated on him. And although he couldn’t initially sense any suspicious person around him, he quickly deduced that the person was using so ans to observe him.
Abilities weren’t allowed in the school premises. Even teachers were prohibited from using their abilities anyhow. That ant the person had to be observing him through conventional ans, like security caras.
With that conclusion reached, Kaiser could already guess who had the authority to do so; Chairman Jonathan.
As he left, the feeling of being observed instantly disappeared.
’Knew it. My guess was definitely correct.’
.........
In the principal’s office, Chairman Jonathan smiled helplessly when he realized Kaiser had noticed his quiet observation.
’How could he do that? His instincts are so sharp he can detect indirect observations? This is absurd. As expected of the Unparalleled Perfect Prodigy.’
