Abby looked grim at the reports on her desk. In the last 40 years, she had proven to be an able head of the Frey Clan but the Silverthorn Fangs had beco a major issue for them. Their leader had returned with a fervor unlike anything they had been able to find out before.
The history they had been able to dig up revealed a rather battle crazy but generally consistent attitude for the tigers. If you rose up in power, they would challenge you brutally but openly, and accept any retaliation just as openly.
Yet, they were vicious if the tactics used were less than honorable by their definition. Killing a mber of their Clan was acceptable in open combat, especially for revenge.
The pattern seed unchanged, but out of nowhere, their leader returned and whipped the entire clan into a frenzy. An open challenge to the Frey Clan was issued but then followed by attacks!
It was unlike before where the tigers appeared and attacked strong individuals or groups before vanishing. It was complete devastation!
The branches were far more heavily defended thanks to previous attacks that proved they were not invulnerable.
The leader of the Silverthorn Fangs was also terrifying. She was a progenitor!
Another terrifying thing was confird by one of the many 6 elentals living under them. She had a harmony!
That unique combination was too close for comfort! All by herself, the Clan Head of the Silverthorn Fangs could break powerful grade 7 defenses like they were clay!
Other 6 elentals had so success in defending against her but only a little. The only one that truly worked was the demoness Kexin. She had beco an Immortal Demon long ago and created her own power but stayed allied with the Frey Clan.
She and Tessa ca to their aid and brought the tigress her first real defeat. Unlike what was expected however, she challenged them!
"You should not stand by cowards! You are honorable demons. Fight
openly here and now!" The challenge had caught them off guard but the 2 demonesses happily complied.
The fight had been brutal but direct. No Arts, techniques, or even elents. Just pure power!
Kexin was the harmony of domination but Tessa had never revealed the na of hers. Still, it was clear both were the equal of the tigress.
After a solid week of battle, the white tigers withdrew for a ti. It was clear their vendetta was not going to be so easy to pull off!
The tigress then tried attacking the main clan directly!
She was currently hamring at their outer wall unrelentingly and it was draining their resources to maintain it!
Any attempt to stop her failed miserably and Kexin could not focus on her either as the other white tigers were roaming the branches! Tessa and she basically had to divide their strength to make sure nothing happened to the branches while the main clan was under attack!
Abby massaged her temples as she reviewed that they had exhausted all their own thods of dealing with the woman! She was refusing to listen to reason nor explain her focus on them.
Miles confird she was the one that attacked him but compared to back then, he was barely touched!
She sighed before using the teleportation weaving to appear on the outer wall. The loud thunder was the strike of the tigress. She saw the erald cloaks bow as she passed them but they all observed the flashes of silver as she directly attacked their wards.
"How are we doing?" Her question was general but an older man stepped forward draped in an erald cloak with a gold fang on his right breast. He was the battalion leader.
"She knows nothing of sleep nor pain. She is grim faced and constant. The wards have never cracked but we have consud mid Immortal grade Qi stones at a rate we cannot sustain for much longer. Our best estimates put it at 3 months and we will no longer be able to keep them working." She nodded as her own reports agreed.
They had a reserve but she was reluctant to use them.
The wards were not the only essential things that needed Immortal Qi Stones to work efficiently.
Abby had no choices left. She bowed to the battalion leader and returned to the teleportation weaving. Before she entered, however, she pressed a dallion around her neck to the control panel.
It glowed erald for a mont as it was a black circle with an erald dragon at its center. It was created by Lind solely for the Clan Heads that ca after him. It was also very limited in use.
The arrays glowed with golden light and she tentatively stepped into them.
The open sky vanished as a room appeared around her. It was not the rooms outside her office but far up in the sky!
The 18 spheres were familiar to her as the golden skinned Celestials maintained the structure happily. She enjoyed the wind on her face but did not linger as she moved to the hatch that led into the main column.
She used the dallion again and descended the tal stairs. She normally would enjoy examining the decorations and engravings but she moved swiftly until she ca to a glowing ward.
It was not a protection but a qualifying ward. Only those with the right could cross it.
She walked forward and it shifted from golden hues to erald briefly as she entered a powerful space. The density of Immortal Qi was far higher than anywhere else she had ever been.
A scorching furnace roared in one corner but the broad woman working it was her goal.
The clang of tal on tal was heard loudly but Abby could only look on as the woman worked tal into shapes as elental Qi fused with it at the sa ti. Compared to the Forgers she had witnessed in her life, the current Forger made them all look like crude children!
The current molten shard of tal was an intricate pattern that even as she watched beca very fine! The precise control and fusion of elents was then joined by Laws!
Abby could not fully perceive Laws at all but she had been exposed enough to recognize the sensation. The woman finished her work as a golden artifact now lay on the anvil. She curbed the flas with a wave of her hands.
Her exposed arms were finely muscled and covered in sweat. She turned and smiled at Abby.
"Are things that bad?" Abby nodded but before she could speak a word, the broad woman held up a hand. "I am aware of the petulant child at our walls. You were wise to exhaust all other thods before coming to . Little Lind would approve."
Abby flinched at her ancestor being addressed as 'little' but did not question it.
"Will you help us?" The woman smiled as she wiped the sweat from her brow before storing the cooling artifact away in a storage ring.
"I owe Lind more than I can ever repay. It is a small thing. A progenitor is fearso but not invulnerable. Still, in the current Celestial Fields, none of you can stop her." Abby nodded but then felt space shift as burnt grasslands appeared.
They were outside the walls so easily?!
A stunning force slamd into the shimring do covering Frey City. It was one thing to see and feel it behind the defenses, but the full raw power reminded Abby how weak she was. She was only at the peak of the Sky Realm, on the cusp of the Star Tier, but she felt mortal again!
"I have heard of tantrums but this one is not even trying to assert herself. Did you ever get a na?" Abby shook her head. It was an oddity. The Silverthorn Fangs had plenty of nas but the tigress had none.
They could not find a single reference to her na.
"Sigh, foolish child." Delenn finally moved to the massive tiger with silver fur attacking the wards. No Arts or Qi was used, she simply used her body and grasped the tiger by the neck!
It was almost comical as the massive tiger was held up by a human woman as if it was a kitten.
[WHO DARES–?!] The tigress could not even exclaim with her telepathic voice as Delenn easily tossed her across the plains! She was not sent too far but slamd into the ground.
The massive tiger tried to rise but was then slamd once more into the ground that was already damaged.
Delenn proceeded to thrash the once mighty tigress as if she was an ant! She could not fight back against the Crystal Tier Immortal!
[STOP! STOP IT!] A pitiful voice reached Abby but Delenn showed no signs of stopping. Abby also did not ask for Delenn to stop. It was better to get the ssage across at last.
The battle drew the eyes of all the guards on the wall but they only bowed solemnly as Delenn completely demolished the tigress.
"All bad kitties need so discipline. You have no control over your instincts and I can tell your ntal state is weakening. Ti for a good lesson from your senior." Delenn smirked as she grabbed the tigress by her tail!
Even Abby winced as the pain in the roars were evident!
Delenn began to twirl the tigress like a spinning top! It was only after this last attack that she let the tigress fly off into the distance.
[Do not return or expect more of the sa. I will be waiting.] Delenn's final warning made even Abby shiver as they returned to her quarters.
"I will keep an eye out from now on for that one. The rest are up to you." Abby bowed deeply and thanked her.
A mountain of issues remained but that threat was now removed! She swiftly returned to her office and began to issue orders. The tigress was no longer an issue so the Frey Clan could begin a true counter offensive!
