An athletic and dark haired woman ran with a golden fox that had 4 tails by her side. They were hunting a boar that had wandered into the Wolf Goddess' territory but also for food.
A new set of pups had been born and needed a lot of food to survive. Lady Yue was busy in the strange new world they all lived in. The Qi falls had vanished and now lush lands were opened up to all!
Qi density had skyrocketed but also the tree flourished that Lord Frey had planted. The edge of the world that had been crumbling was now expanding!
It was slow but building speed!
They understood it ant the world was saved! They were not going to die! At least not from the world itself dying.
Lis and Little Fluffy found their prey but it was impaled as a lavender colored woman stood over it.
"You are too slow." Gel was now a peak Moon Tier on the cusp of Sun Tier. Lis was not far behind her either!
Little Fluffy had left them both behind as she approached the peak of Sun Tier!
She transford into a gorgeous woman with golden robes but frowned at the demoness. All 3 had set out at the sa ti but Gel was far more experienced in battle. Tracking they had her beat but it seed they had led the boar straight to her.
"We had it!" Lis pouted too but Gel only smirked at them.
"You did, but the pups won't wait. Don't deny that both of you want to play with them?" Both won blushed but Gel did not push it past that.
The 4 months since the world had changed had been busy but the once compressed and desperate beast hordes now spread out.
Many deer and other animals quickly headed inward to the wide open plains. It was likely that aether beasts and children would be born in massive numbers in the centuries to co as the Qi settled down, but all knew unclaid land was all around them.
It was a feeling Lady Yuy had but she was also approaching the peak of Shard Tier since all their foundations were improved.
The miracle of that day was a blessing and curse in many ways. Blessing of course as all their lifespans improved but a curse because those that were not Immortals had to re-comprehend their own cultivation completely.
Still, no one complained much as centuries were added to their lives.
The 3 were harvesting the at and parts when Little Fluffy froze. Both Gel and Lis looked at her as she looked up at the sky but they felt nothing.
They were about to ask what was going on when tears started to fall from her eyes! What was going on?
"He is coming." Both human and demon were confused until a shape appeared in the sky. It was damned odd as it was like a disc attached to a cylinder with fins coming off of it. It slowly got bigger until they realized how massive it was!
It flew until it was directly over them casting its shadow.
Gel had her spear ready and Lis summoned her swords. Little Fluffy was the only one not to prepare to fight as a column of light ca down from the object. It pulsed with golden light twice before a figure appeared on the ground.
He had erald hair and simple gray robes but Lis was racing Little Fluffy to him!
He smiled at them as they tried to bowl him over with hugs.
"If not for Little Fluffy, it would have been much harder to find you. Gel, you look well." Lind had returned!
The 2 won hugging him were much stronger compared to the last ti he saw them but Gel narrowed her eyes in concern.
She glanced up but no further beam of light ca down. She then felt a pain in her chest as she looked into the erald eyes of Lind and saw him nod.
She turned to keep her back to the trio as she collected herself.
A face of bright smiles and gentle nature flashed through her mind and a weep nearly escaped her but she got herself under control.
????????
"Lady Yue taught us a bunch, especially Little Fluffy!" Lis began boasting right away and the now human looking fox nodded. Lind patted their heads like they were still little children, to him they were.
He let them talk and noticed Gel was finishing butchering the boar. She had grasped the missing person right away but the other 2 were too excited to see him. It showed the darkness Gel had lived through compared to the pair.
After a while, Little Fluffy looked around excitedly but then beca confused. Lind felt his chest tighten when that happened.
Lis felt his flinch and also began to look around. The pair moved slowly away and were clearly not finding what they were looking for. They also finally noticed Gel was not facing them for so odd reason.
She was sorting out materials from the at rather slowly too.
"Big Brother Lind, where is Hope?" Lis finally asked the question he had feared. He summoned 2 lockets. They were silver with a lock of golden hair wrapped inside each.
Little Fluffy slowly took one and sniffed at it before her eyes beca teary. Her limbs shook as she fell to the grass beneath them. Lis backed away from his hand with the other locket.
"W-where is Hope?" Lind frowned before he knelt down so he was at her eye level. Lis shook her head and wanted to look away, but his erald eyes were full of pain. She could feel the hurt inside him.
"The world we are in right now, with all the life around us, only exists because Hope gave everything to make it happen. None of it would be possible without her doing that. I tried every way possible to find another way and she hit ! She pouted at !" He smirked a bit at that mory.
Hope would not let him even take responsibility. She had put herself forward and he had been with her until the end.
He then sighed and looked up.
"She cannot be here with us, but she is not totally gone. The spirits took her into their embrace. I am not being taphorical either." He did his best to explain but Lis just started weeping into Little Fluffy's shoulder and Gel embraced them from behind.
He quietly let them cry themselves out before they looked up at the Wings of Freedom.
"What is that, Lord Frey?" Lind smirked and told them how it was a starship. It was likely going to be the only one of its kind for a very long ti. It would be the work of centuries to figure out sothing more lowkey.
He collected them up and they flew back to Lady Yue.
The wolf knelt to him on sight which made him sigh. His status as a True Lord was easier for Immortals to sense than other realms.
He breezed past it as he offered Lady Yue officially to rule the current lands with his sanction. A True Lord doing so would not be ignored by any and even Heavenly punishnt could be invoked if soone crossed him.
She happily accepted but that night was a night of rembrance.
Wen joined them and Lis smiled to know Hope had found love. The trio of Little Fluffy, Lis, and Wen spoke of Hope's life. Lind sat back and was glad to see smiles on all 3 of their faces.
Their reunion was happy in part but the bittersweet sharing of mories bonded them all.
"Wherever you are, Hope, know you are missed and loved." He spoke so softly that even the most powerful beasts missed it but he felt a shiver in his spine. He smirked and liked to think it was her.
The future was chaos unleashed but he could not let things unfold forever that way. He was not only a True Lord but had loved ones that needed him. He looked above to his ship and smirked as an idea ca to him.
Theoretically it should work but it would no doubt cause a ripple of untold chaos anew once done.
He focused on the feast and enjoyed the company. The trio sought him out and he told his own stories of how he found Hope and saved her.
He spoke of her training and dedication to teaching him as much as he taught her.
So laughed at how the young Celestial had had Lind woven around her little finger it seed but they all were enchanted by her. The valley of the Anchor Tree was officially conferred to Lady Yue and the Heavens rumbled in confirmation of his decree.
The wolves would beco the lords of the lands and it was perfect for them as many open lands did not have enough resources to support growing populations yet but the outer lands still did.
Afterward, Lis and the rest joined him in the Wings of Freedom but Orion stayed with Lady Yue. He stayed with the Wolf Goddess and was still bound by his restraints. The forr Inquisitor was an odd demon but he seed satisfied as the large ship flew off to the horizon.
