The crack of glass filled the Raptor cabin as Lian smashed an artifact in her rage.

The seed-like artifact had been getting hit more and more but suddenly burst with erald flas as it shot upward.

Such power was far beyond what a cultivator should be able to safely use and not be exhausted or risk Qi deviation but their target flew out of reach.

Such speeds were dangerous even for a Sky Realm but she knew her prey was alive.

Still, he had escaped for the mont but she smiled.

She knew why.

"Commander, the Overseer wishes to see you."

Lian nodded and turned to hop on the floating platform next to her Raptor.

The broken ones below and many dead on the mountain did not even phase her.

The skies were now full of not only Raptors but a massive structure that floated between them.

It was like a castle but it had no walls.

It was a resource carrying artifact that could be controlled by a handful of Fiends but it had not been in the realm the last ti Lian was at the central city.

Sothing had changed.

She landed on the half circle at the front and stepped off as the platform fused with the surface.

The layout was very simple.

The 4 towers held massive crystals, Qi stones, and other resources needed to create the Void of Heaven.

It was not easy to make and very resource intensive.

Further, it required a Star Tier at least to make it.

The preparations to allow that on a mortal realm like the current one was yet another step, but Lian frowned as she noted sothing off.

The towers on the inside of the massive platform were only supposed to be half full to allow for so other materials to make support arrays and structures, but her eyes showed her sothing else.

Grade 7 materials!

Where did they get so many grade 7 materials and why?

She had only heard rumors of such things but to have them in a piddling mortal realm made no sense.

Further, how did the Overseer she knew get them at all?

A feeling of trepidation filled her.

Her forr confidence was pulled back in and she rely made her way into the central cube structure that housed the personnel.

It was never ant to be complicated as it was difficult enough to contain high grade materials safely.

A spatial storage treasure appropriate to the realm was impossible to contain them so that was why it was created.

She found familiar guards but their brows were covered in sweat which was not normal.

She finally found a person seated on the central chair but it was not the woman she expected.

Celeste was a lithe woman and very cold.

Most Fiends were not exactly warm, they still could co off as closer to authoritative or arrogant rather than cold.

The gorgeous woman in the seat was much more voluptuous and clearly liked to show off.

Her leather armor had a hole cut for no reason Lian could understand to expose her chest a bit.

She also had slits up her legs to expose her pale gray skin provocatively.

The woman scread 'look at ' yet Lian felt sweat break out on her brow due to fear.

It was not a peak tier 3 sitting there but a Star Tier!

How?!

It was only at that mont that she noticed more oddities.

The interior of the artifact felt different.

It was as if the pressure of Heaven was gone inside and she noticed the 2 male Fiends behind her.

They were both Sun Tier!

Impossible!

She was inside a Void of Heaven that could move.

It was only at that mont she noticed a clink of chains that revealed a bracelet connected to a dark chain that led to a miserable sight.

Celeste was bleeding from a head wound and bruised while her previously pristine chainmail armor was cracked and broken in many places.

"I dislike wasting ti.

Also, I approve of your thodical approach to this previously overlooked issue.

Still, you should understand the problem relying on thralls where Heaven still holds sway?"

Lian nodded.

"I have made it clear that if they try to purify themselves, they will die instantly.

So still tried and the price was paid."

It was a risk with thralls that Heaven could save them if they made an honest attempt to cultivate once more.

It was risky but Heaven could be forgiving at the oddest tis.

Likely it was a response to the Fiends themselves but it mattered little.

The Fiend would feel the attempt and take them forcibly at that point.

Still, fools never knew what was best so after a few demonstrations, they stopped and the attack from the wyverns prevented anything else.

"Good.

Your battle with that strange flying artifact also was excellent.

You grasp the need to sacrifice all to kill an enemy and your troops respond well."

Lian felt fear spike.

No leaders she had ever had or heard of complinted a subordinate like that unless sothing truly terrifying was coming.

Lian only felt a breeze before she was slamd into the cold tal at her feet.

The bare chested Fiend was one of the Sun Tiers.

She stood no chance but none of her limbs were broken, nor was her cultivation affected.

"What I cannot stand is rudeness.

You did not greet

nor even show the minimal respect to one such as .

Still, it is shocking to see one of these vessels."

The woman stood up and placed her boot heel on Lian's skull.

She wanted to beg but breath would not co as the pressure from both made it near impossible to think let alone breathe.

"I despise wasting ti but evidence is before

and I followed it.

This one!"

The yank of the chain brought Celeste flying across the room to slam into one of the controller points of the arrays.

The sharp crack of bone made Lian wince but Celeste never made a peep.

"Sigh, such a good seedling but she let obsession ruin her.

You 2 are similar but there is a difference I sense in you.

You did not simply leap at the chance to foolishly rush ahead when your prey was near but continued to be thodical and cut off retreat."

The boot lifted but Lian did not so much as glance up.

Her heart was racing a kiloter a minute!

"Let her up Bastion."

The grip was released but she kept her head down as she knelt in obedience.

"Good, you catch on quickly.

I appreciate that.

Do you know how to kill Immortals?"

Lian was caught off guard but shook her head.

She had been only a lowly Sky Realm coordinator of a district, so her ambitions had not been unreasonable, yet she never needed to know how to kill a Heaven Realm, let alone Immortal Realm.

"Normally, you need another Immortal to do it properly.

A peak Sun Tier might get lucky but no one would rely on that, so we ca up with another thod."

A jade stone lit up as a projection of the mountain appeared.

"Admittedly, our target is a mountain currently but the rule applies."

Lian was picked up and made to face the terrifying woman once more.

"This junior begs forgiveness but I do not know how to address the honored senior."

Lian wanted to break the tension but instead it spiked monstrously for a mont before the woman smacked the top of her forehead in a strangely cute way.

"I go on about manners and forget my own.

Commander Lian, I am Major Yun.

I am in charge of this area for the Heavenly Army and I have to both punish and clean up after my subordinate."

Lian bowed low and felt terror shake her limbs.

A Major!

That was very bad!

"Forgive my ignorance, Major, but a mountain is not a living thing."

She was confused on that point but Major Yun nodded at her.

"Normally, you would be correct, but this is one of those special barren realms.

It seems Heaven is fair or karma allows Heaven to act.

We will never know but this mountain is not here naturally.

If it were, the current issue would not exist."

Yun then sat back on the chair and forcibly dragged Celeste across the floor.

"Not natural?"

Lian was very confused which seed to amuse Yun even more.

"Indeed, that is an Immortal Mountain from the third or fourth realm of the Celestial Fields.

It is most likely the Radiant Realm as it is floating without issue.

Such a mountain would have a spirit.

It ans it can die."

Yun's dark eyes glowed with a joy that even made Lian shiver.

"How can we dare to kill an Immortal?"

Lian was feeling a headache as while she could wrap her head around Heaven moving a mountain, its own rules negated such a thing as well.

Still, how could Sky and Heaven Realms even dream of scratching such a being?

Dark laughter filled the cabin as Yun seed to enjoy the effect of her revelations.

"Immortals exist in the Heaven Realm, only at the Sliver Tier, but still they exist.

Of course we can kill them, we just need Immortal Realm power to do it."

She then summoned a small black box that glowed with Fiend Qi.

"This entire vessel exists for that purpose.

Once I learned that 3 Immortal Dragons had been killed here in a similar fashion, I ordered up another.

It takes millions of years to make one, but once I showed the evidence, the command agreed."

Yun smirked as arrays began to light up across the artifact vessel.

Lian still had doubts but the pressure from the 4 towers was crushing even at a distance.

If not for being in the exact center, she had no doubt she would be dead already.

"You see, Immortals do have a weakness.

Their bodies are very strong but the process of Immortality is to strengthen the soul.

Thus, all you have to do is kill the soul to kill them.

While their bodies can resist a lot, we already have the ability to consu souls.

What do you think this artifact can do then?"

Yun looked blood thirsty as she was staring at the mountain ahead of them.

Lian felt her body shrivel under that look.

"In 3 days, the mountain will die and all our enemies in this realm will be left with nowhere to hide."

Yun laughed and Lian for once felt almost pity for their enemies.

She felt like an ant in front of the Major and her comrades.

She also realized how naive she had been.

If the Major was an example of the Heaven Army, Lian stood no chance of survival at all.

She looked back at the mountain and wondered what would happen in 3 days when Lind Frey had no where left to go.
