Months had passed but the main Sovereign Tier combat contest was finally on the main round. The next fights would decide who ascended to the next step. There were now 128 main Sovereigns ready to face off.

So had made nas for themselves already but a few had fallen that many expected to go to the end. The recent incident had so concerned Lind Frey would withdraw here as well but he did not and the crowd looked forward to the next fight he had!

[Fellow Daoists, you have spent several years seeing the various aspects of production professions all the way down to grade 6. You have seen aspiring new experts rise and honored elders fall. In all of that, however, the combat has never stopped.] A gorgeous violet robed Harmonic Dragon floated over the main arena.

The Sliver, Shard, Crystal, and Radiant Tier brackets had concluded. It had been bloody, brutal, and a hell of a good ti, but seeing Sovereign Tiers truly fight had been an experience none would ever forget.

Each ti it seed like the limits had been reached, the final tier of Immortality revealed how truly devastating it could be.

[As with previous contests, there are no more tricks nor scenarios awaiting our contenders. Simple duels to demonstrate their ultimate power against each other. Unlike the other tiers, however, there is a new rule you all know.] The displays flickered from her srizing violet eyes as the words appeared with the various rules of the tournant.

It quickly scrolled down to the main round of the Sovereign Tiers.

{Death, incapacitation, surrender, and True Death will determine the victors.}

A roar shook the arena. It seed ludicrous in the face of current events but Sovereign Tiers were not like other Immortals. Many had been unable to find the spark of enlightennt or felt the cliff edge over the abyss that could push them forward.

It was said Lind Frey actually tried to prevent the last condition but the other Sovereign Tiers had insisted.

It ant the final tournant, the reason so many had co, was finally going to comnce. All the limits were gone and it was ti to face true life and death battles!

The goal for Sovereign Tiers was not just to win, but to beco Divine!

The crowd stomped, whooped, and generally lost their damn minds in happiness, but the VIP suites had so regret. The most powerful mbers of their world would fight to the death.

They all knew that if one surrendered, they would forever remain a Sovereign Tier. Cultivation was not for the weak of heart. To give up in the face of death ant the tribulation would certainly kill them.

Incapacitation was a middle ground but could still speak to their quality of ability. If they could not overco a contemporary, they certain could not face Divine Tribulation.

Death was a given. The loss of the body was almost certain to happen to many but it was not lethal. The true test would be if they would risk their soul to continue or not. So would be foolhardy but if they saw a chance and snatched it, they would beco Divine Realms.

Lind was down on the arena floor with the other 127 Sovereign Tiers. All in all, there were over 10,000 that qualified but it took close to 5 years to whittle them down. Even his most optimistic estimate put it at another 2 years before they were done.

Only 3 duels could go at a ti safely at maximum power. If they truly went all out the battles would be quick but few lived to beco Sovereign Tiers that were hasty.

The last few battles had easily stretched over 2 months but terrain and other factors were now removed. Lind could only hope his wives would not die.

Cyntilla and Chu both remained in the contest. Of the 2, Chu worried him the least. She was a terror on 2 or 4 legs if she transford. Her battles had been almost anticlimactic but that would change soon.

A massive projection appeared and characters flashed until the various VIP booths lit up. They were selecting to stop their particular candidate whenever they lit up. Nas quickly filled up the bracket until only 3 remained.

All of the arena looked at him and his wives. The judge glanced at him before looking up at the Frey Family Suite.

Shoti was behind this or he would eat his shirt! Worse, there was a full duel bracket open. It ant 2 of them would be paired up no matter what!

He actually hoped it would be him against Chu but it seed luck was not on his side. The suite finally lit up and all the nas settled.

He quickly scanned but the crowd went wild.

[Cyntillay Frey vs Chu Frey}

Any doubt of the impartiality of the systems was likely wiped away at that mont. The betting hall was likely tearing their hair out as they were both favorites to make it to the finals yet now one would be taken out!

He sighed as he could feel both of them smiling without looking. Sparring was not the sa as fighting. A spar could help you find weakness and improve techniques or Arts.

A fight ant not holding back and neither of those won knew the definition of the word when it ca to real battle.

He wanted very badly to tell them to hold back but he could not move from his spot. He finally found his na.

{Dea Arc vs Lind Frey}

An aether child with black and crimson coloring bowed to him. The slim fra spoke to a conjuror or maybe an Art focused on senses. He had not been able to catch all the fights, certainly not lately.

He bowed back and the Harmonic Dragon took over.

[All nas have been selected! The duels are numbered so 1, 2, and 3, please find your platforms and let us begin! All other combatants report to the waiting area for your designated wing.]

The brackets were suddenly split in 4 and color coded. Simple red, green, blue, and yellow. Lind was in yellow while his wives were in red. A sigh escaped him but there was soone else in his bracket that caused it.

{Immortal Berserker vs Frozen Immortal}

The pair was in his bracket and if both n won to the end, they would face each other in the semi-finals or finals. It made him wonder who would make it to the championship but he pushed it aside as at least he had more ti to recover.

The yellow bracket was at the back end while the red was after the current green segnt. He assud they would simply go down the numbers as they were so his fight would be at the start of the yellow segnt.

He settled in but he felt a pair of eyes locked on him. He did not have to look up to know. He glanced over and saw the rail thin man with too many swords on his body.

He was simply standing there looking only at Lind yet no bloodlust ca off him, only anticipation.

Lind sighed but did not dare to do more than look. He wanted to focus on the fights to see who he might face. He also focused his healing as best he could with an elixir.

His soul was healing far too slowly but he had yet to create sothing that could help him. The very damage he wanted to fix prevented that. Peak Law Grade elixirs could still affect him but their efficiency was less than 30% for him!

He could heal other 6 elentals with ease but his pursuit of a broad and fully ford foundation had shown its drawbacks. Injuries that were easy to heal in others were next to impossible in himself!

"True Lord, it is my honor to greet you." A pleasant voice broke him out of his thoughts as he saw his opponent was before him. Dea Arc was unknown to him in detail but the gray robes he wore marked with the sword made it easy.

"The honor is mine, Elder of the Divine Sword Sect." A smile spread on the crimson and black face as the man sat down. It was hard to gauge aether children's ages but Lind felt like the one in front of him was far older than him.

"You wear your worries too openly. You cannot change the present but the future can yet be grasped by you. Focus on the now. The rest will co in ti." Lind smirked as he was usually the one giving advice to others but it seed it was his turn.

"Frustration is hard to dismiss when the future looms. Still, your wisdom is very sound, senior." Lind cupped his hands and bowed but Dea waved him off.

"I may be older but compared to all of this, I think you are the senior in expertise. Certainly in ambition. Crom was impressed but he was too old to join. He would not survive a tribulation and is satisfied raising the next generation." The fact Dea did not use honorifics made it clear both n were from the sa generation.

It was not wrong to say aether children had an advantage in aging and vitality but they were essentially human otherwise. His question must have been clear as Dea laughed.

"I want to know if I can go farther. I have been at the peak of the high Sovereign Tier for so long and able to defeat peak Sovereign Tiers with ease. This tournant is my last chance to truly test myself before my decline begins." Lind felt sad to hear that.

If it worked, Dea Arc would gain a few million years but it would still an the end of his path. He had not considered there those that simply wished to know what they could do.

The shaking of the stone beneath them drew both n's eyes to displays. A massive mountain was falling like a teor as a sun waited to consu it. They were not taphors nor imitations.

They were the real thing.

Both n watched as titanic clashes occurred and Lind was left with a question that began to haunt him.

Just how powerful were Divine Realm cultivators if Sovereign Tiers could already do that?
