Fey felt no joy at her victory. In fact, she felt very little as her body was as numb as ice. Her swords were bloody but it was long dried as she had been unable to move as she wanted a few days ago.

Lind had not given a direct order to her but she knew how her Father thought. She also did not want to waste more ti with negotiations or needless battles.

So heeded the warning but the Sovereign Lands were a lost cause to start with. She nearly dropped her swords as her legs began to weaken.

An Immortal using Dao, no matter how compatible, paid a steep price. She had used 2 at once to topple peak Sovereign Tiers like dolls.

In exchange, she would be bed ridden at best or suffer being crippled at worst.

A clacking sound suddenly reached her and she frowned but she had no power remaining.

"Hmmm, such a tasty sll. You are covered in blood but so full of life. You will be a good al for our mistress." A voice whispered from the darkness around her but Fey looked up to see thin strands of webbing.

The spiders had co.

Sinuous white legs struck from all sides but a barrier of erald light flared around her.

"Thousand Strikes Art, eh?" Fey recognized a rather dangerous attack. It was a popular attack with beasts and humans.

Spiders and other multi-legged beings were able to take it to the peak with far more devastating results. A weapon was usually needed but a part of the body could be reinforced in so many ways it was impossible to gauge the danger of the Art.

"He he he he! It matters not what you know, you are just prey!" Fey tried to sense the source but her body and dantian were at their limits. She had won, true, but the victory was hollow just as the spider said.

At the last mont she let herself fall and the air was full of spinning spider legs. It was not an Art but a skill of their race.

She also realized how dire her situation was.

It was not 1 spider, but a dozen! They were all Radiant and Crystal Tier Immortals.

"No Sovereign Tier?" She almost felt insulted as the white and black spiders appeared around her. Their main bodies were dark as night with the fine white legs marking their race.

The 8 eyes varied in color depending on their alignnt of primary elents. They were simply the Crimson Poison Spiders. Those legs were full to the brim with various poisons that those white legs could resist.

The cobalt, virulent green, and so forth colors left no doubt to the demonic nature of the spiders.

They shunned human form but would not be above using it if they needed sothing desperately. Fey was resistant to most poisons but their power was more than enough to kill her at the mont.

"You should consider carefully what you are about to do. I may well die, but you will join

shortly afterwards." The bulbous bodies twitched but the laughter filled the air.

A larger spider landed lightly on the strands of webbing above. A peak Radiant Tier with cobalt, crimson, and pale yellow eyes looking down at her. A Tri-Primal!

"You will be avenged but we only need to evade those that follow long enough to grow stronger. By the ti they may find us, they will join you as part of our foundation to ascension!" Fey could not deny that in part but she sneered at them.

"You think you will have a chance to leave? You accused

of having a pyrrhic victory, but your end will be no different." She felt her body stabilize but the spiders seed to understand finally she was buying ti.

Searing pain ca from her leg all of a sudden. She was shocked as she had thought she had avoided everything but a very tiny thread was attached to her leg. It had lted through her robe?!

How?!

Lind's students had not t his full ability but they were considered the best crafters in all realms! Just what kind of technique or skill did that thread have?!

The distraction was just enough as white legs sliced at her before she could react. The robes shimred but the result was not the sa.

The erald shield shattered like glass! Death was coming and she was actually calm about it.

To her, life and death were but 2 aspects of existence. She would die, but her soul was safe. The spiders had no interest in that.

"ROOOOOOAAAAARRRRRR!" The spiders were slamd into the ground not by any Art or skill but by sheer pressure. Fey smiled as she knew that roar. A massive shadow appeared over them all to the shock of the fleeing army and the spiders alike.

The Frey Clan, however, cheered as the sinuous erald dragon lood over them all.

It had 3 horns on its head and a massive erald mane and 4 powerful limbs ending in 4 claws. The tail was also sharp as a blade to look at it.

[If you harm another hair on my daughter's head, your race will die today.] Lind's voice bood and the spiders clicked their mandibles in anger.

"YOU ARE NO TRUE LORD OF OURS! We have no need to listen to an overgrown snake!" Fey wondered if they were right in the head as Lind's massive erald eyes narrowed.

Yet, his maw instantly turned to the south as flas exploded from his maw.

The sheer power was not the only Fey felt. Her body recovered! She felt instantly better so quickly that she was amazed. It had never happened before, so what had changed?

It was then she felt the 2 Dao at the core of her being resonating with her Father's flas. She looked up and felt a new kind of awe fill her. His Dao was a complent to hers? His harmony was a Dao?!

A smile spread on her face from ear to ear but then a pressure she recognized appeared in the air around them.

The spiders were no longer suppressed but they were not back to their peak either.

A massive figure appeared to the south and easily deflected the flas with a wave of one of their 8 legs.

Its coloring, however, was not sothing she recognized. The legs were golden in color with a pure black body that shone like it was made of tal. The other factor, however, was where the head should have been was a torso.

A human woman's torso was barely covered with webbing of so kind. Her figure was alluring in but the 8 eyes on her face and far too wide mouth confird she was a monster without doubt.

"Goddess!" Fey heard the call from the creatures around her and the reverence but she did not understand what she saw. She was the Goddess of Life and Death but she could in no way stand up to her Father's power.

He would crush her with ease from what she could tell.

In a battle of Dao she held an edge but his options were just too many. He had the counter to too many of her best skills.

So how could a re Goddess stand up to a Divine Progenitor True Lord?

The aura of the arachne was clear, however. Peak Sovereign Tier! She was not alone too!

Three more arachne appeared but those 3 were far less impressive in appearance. The sa white legs and black bodies of those around Fey. They were all, however, peak Sovereign Tiers.

"Little Snake, you should not make threats you cannot follow through on. I am the Goddess of Venom and you will fuel

and my sisters' rise!" The revelation made it clear to Fey they were in trouble but then black clouds gathered above them.

[I have no ti to deal with you all. Withdraw, or die. Choose.] The 4 arachne looked up in concern but then sneered at him.

"Little Divine trick, even if you try to get Heaven to do the work, it will not be unfair. You are not the only True Lord nor the last to think they are invincible." Fey was confused. They thought that was Heavenly Wrath?

She recognized a Storm Art when she saw one but she could not place the exact one. Her Father was always experinting so it could be an entirely new one.

Suddenly, her Dao spiked and she felt a chill go down her spine.

[Fey, protect yourself with your Dao.] His voice was suddenly in her head and she did not even respond before the 2 Dao strained her body once more. She erected a basic ward that no Sovereign Tier could pierce with the power behind it.

Erald lightning suddenly sprouted everywhere and the aura in the air shifted. It was not Heaven that was coming for them, but a power greater than them!

"HOW?! HOW DO YOU HAVE–" The Goddess of Venom did not finish before the lightning struck. Fey felt her ward strain and her recently replenished Qi was nearly gone from a single strike!

Just what Dao did her Father grasp?! How was he able to use it in an Art like that with seemingly no downside?!

Her eyes narrowed as she noticed a few details. The spiders struck were not killed but they were weakened in so way.

She did not have her Father's Talents but she did have vast experience. Her aura had enough to spare to scan the nearest one.

She was shocked! The beast core was stone dead! They were just normal beasts!

She quickly looked to the arachne but they seed able to resist in part what her Father was doing. More erald lightning struck but she noticed it was markedly weaker. It still had Dao but not nearly as much as before. It also was clearly not in his full control.

"So, he can summon the Art but he can't direct it. A trade off?" She speculated but then more auras arrived and Lind dismissed the Storm Art. His massive body was heaving but otherwise he seed ready to fight.

A bald man with massive muscles and an open silver vest appeared. A disfigured demoness and then familiar Frey Clan mbers ca.

The 4 arachne were no longer confident and looked pale.

"We will not forget this humiliation snake!" They vanished to the south but Fey could not care as she saw her Father float down to her. They were finally going to be reunited after all this ti!
