Lind's room was partially cannibalized after half a year of experints with the dinsional pocket. He had been happy to see how easy it was to make a portable space early on but entering it was impossible when tied to his spirit!
He tried tying it to his body but that failed miserably as well. It actually seed to beco corporeal when he tried and shattered half the furniture!
It also was just as fragile without being connected to his harmony. Even with layering the elents as he had seen occur with his harmony in the mix, its fragility was not so easily fixed with the elental arrays!
It took him so further experints to grasp it was his spirit that gave the previous strength he felt!
He then just tried to create an anchored pocket dinsion and learned a great deal. With his Law Eyes, he saw tendrils of Qi latch outward into the very essence of the air and earth. It literally drew its power from Heaven and Earth!
No wonder the manuals were so vague! Without the comparison, damned few Immortals could grasp such a concept! Compared to the portable one, the anchored one was thousands of tis stronger.
"So it is pulling energy from its anchor point then?" Now that he had an avenue of research, he could truly begin to experint!
Unlike normal refiners, he could Forge with his spirit just fine! He did not need a dium or material to bridge the gap for him!
Sadly, life was not so kind as to let it be that easy.
He was able to Forge an artifact as an anchor but just like before, he could not enter it! Tying his spirit remotely did not seem to matter!
So long as it was his own spirit, the dinsional pocket would treat him like an exterior piece! It was all treated as a whole by the dinsional pocket!
He was stumped at that point and tried to create a spirit tool to see if that would work but his harmony was only flowing naturally due to the use of his own spirit previously.
While he could infuse his erald Qi into such a tool, it was not the sa as his own harmony at work.
Protean had benefited from his Qi but it was not the sa as his own Qi unless he channeled it himself. He could only Forge aspects into an artifact, not the entirety of his harmony!
Protean, for instance, had flexibility to produce various weapons at command.
He also inherited the spark of life but that had been partially an accident on Lind's part. Still, he had learned a great deal from improving Protean and watching him grow.
He needed the strength of his connection but for it to be an independent spirit tool as well!
He was so close he could taste it but it still eluded him!
He had taken a step back to repair the damage to his quarters and to simply think.
The main issue was he could not seem to have the best of 2 desired results. He could not have the strength of his direct spirit connection while being able to enter it at the sa ti.
"Why can't I enter it? It can't be just that I am treated as a piece of the exterior shell. It should be sothing basic I am overlooking." The debris lit up with sigils and elents as he rebuilt the low tea table and padding around it.
The light colored wood looked like new but was now a peak mid grade 7 artifact. He did not want to just fix things for them to be broken again easily.
He sighed as he realized he did not have enough left of the chair to restore it so he had to use up so of his materials to fix it.
"It is nothing like a storage treasure where I can store or remove once bound to my aura." He spoke aloud but frowned as he only covered what he knew.
He glanced at the black ring on his finger before a thought suddenly occurred to him.
"Haro, how do you project yourself outside the ring?" He knew it was not the sa but he had never questioned how both Haro and Protean had achieved manifestation.
[It is not sothing complex, Master. I simply picture appearing outside and the body solidifies. It is not flesh and blood but it is powerful enough to fight if needed and the ring has sufficient Immortal Qi at least.] Lind nodded as he was about to dismiss it when a thought occurred to him.
"How is the body chosen?" He was not sure why he wanted to know but while Haro had no other reference to the dark skinned man in tan robes he had first seen, Protean looked nothing like him despite being created by him.
So where did the body co from?
[That is a known mystery of spirit tools, Master. No one knows where the bodies co from nor why we can manifest without a previous template to follow.]
Haro's words led to a deadend but Lind was fixated. It was not so much the shape but the fact that the spirits could exit their bodies to an extent without an issue.
In one sense, they were rely making a solid projection but there were legends of spirits becoming parents to children of flesh and blood beings.
So, it was possible to create an existence entirely similar to a normal cultivator despite their epheral birth.
It was a long and convoluted path but they could never sever from their origin as a tool. At the heart of them remained their original form.
"Duality. The duality never ceases. They exist as the original tool and as a separate existence outside of it." He mumbled as his mind seed to hit on the facet of spirit tools he wanted to replicate.
What he needed was sothing that could allow him to convert his spiritual strength to create the kind of dinsion pocket he wanted but then could allow him to slip inside while still technically being outside.
It had to be a part of him but separate at the sa ti. Could a cultivator survive that? Was it safe?
He paced his room until a slow smile began to spread on his face.
He quickly summoned 12 elental crystals. They were low grade 7 but they were more than enough for his needs.
He carefully arranged them on the newly rebuilt table. Each was aligned with their counterpart but far enough from the other to not react. The glow of the elents had a few sparks as their energy flew in the air.
"No need to get snarky with ." He smiled as golden Qi began to carefully flow between the demonic and natural Qi crystals. Celestial Qi crystals had been slowly cropping up in the 1st layer but none existed in the 2nd.
Lind let the other 2 versions of crystals slowly rge with the Celestial like an insulator until a simple disc was created with a hollow center. It was very basic but he needed to stop being complicated.
He used his aura to wash over the crystal disc, finding no flaw or leakage now that the Celestial Qi had been given a physical form interacting with the crystals. He found it fascinating but serviceable for his next step.
Rather than channel his harmony, he summoned his 18 elental cores from his crystal in his dantian. He noted their arrangent and began to replicate similar cores at the hollow of the disc.
The disc acted as a stabilizer to keep the new conjured cores from self destructing but that was not all! The cores he conjured were resonating with the originals.
He felt a tug on his soul as an erald fla flared to life in front of him!
There was a bit of discomfort but no feeling of danger as a part of himself fused with the hollow space.
Lind's eyes then glowed as he Forged the conjured and the physical into an artifact.
For the first ti in his life, he felt resistance! It was not the materials, but Heaven itself that tried to stop him. He did not feel anger or even danger but it was slowing down the process.
Why? What was the cause? He pushed the questions aside as the path forward was clear. The erald flas solidified into an identical crystal like in his dantian before the disc shrunk to connect to it.
The 18 elents flared like a sun briefly as a sound of sothing groaning reached his ears. He had no ti to ponder the source as the dinsional layer he had been experinting with suddenly moved on its own!
It connected to the artifact and a massive space fused with erald Qi was born instantly! His experienced eyes noted it felt incomplete. He was not quite done.
"A door needs a lock." The Forging elents flowed at the aperture ford by the dinsion until 18 strands touched the middle points of the outer edge of the disc. Without pondering too much, he turned it to the right and the aperture sealed shut!
The disc floated in his hand as he scanned all around with his aura but could sense nothing! No trace of the layer was even in range!
He then did one last Forging and the strands all snaked outward in front of him and he twisted to the left.
The space tore open and finally the artifact resonated in joy. The resistance from Heaven vanished.
Concepts began to imprint in his mind and shock filled Lind as he realized he had created a primitive version of sothing far beyond his realm!
"Dinsional Key Anchor? I made a Divine Key space?!" His words made the very air shudder and pain wracked his body. He recalled previous tis he was not to know things beyond his realm but now he spoke them aloud for any to hear!
[We have to talk.] Haro's voice was grim as he appeared in front of him but there was a massive difference to his body. His robes were usually blank. No symbols or badges of any kind but now he saw a mark on the right breast.
It was the mark of a dragon fang! Lind recognized that mark! Before he could react, Haro touched his shoulder and the pair vanished from the palace grounds!
