Jayden was pacing back and forth outside his house. He could clearly hear Alice's laboured breathing and her pain-filled screams. Not only was the pregnancy period for vampire won longer, but even the process of delivery was much more painful.

Suddenly, Jayden's steps halted and his body stiffened. From within the house, the cry of a baby sounded. Alice's breathing remained fast, but her screams grew weaker and weaker until there were none, and only her heavy breathing remained.
Hearing that cry, it was as if all emotions exploded at the sa ti in his mind. Taking a deep breath, Jayden cald himself and gazed into the sky, several pieces of his life flashing before his eyes.

And now, he had even beco a father. So much had happened, and so much had changed. Jayden stared at the sky in silence for a few seconds. This was undoubtedly the beginning of a new phase in his life. He couldn't help but be filled with various emotions.
He closed his eyes, and his lips curled into a smile. The coldness from the entire universe disappeared instantly. Instead, it seed spring had arrived—flowers blood and a soothing wind blew.
Jayden finally opened his eyes and turned around. He put aside all the thoughts for now, and what remained was only happiness and sheer joy, so much so that it made his heart beat faster and made him want to announce this news across all universes.
Getting a hold of his emotions, he slowly walked into the house. His sight first landed on Alice, who was lying on the bed with her eyes closed. Her face was covered with sweat, and she looked a little pale.
He walked closer to her, then picked a clean and soft cloth from the side and carefully wiped the sweat from her face. Once he was done, he put the cloth away and looked at his wife, who looked stunningly beautiful—more than ever—despite looking a bit weak.
Jayden's thoughts were interrupted as he heard the sound of footsteps, after which he saw the shadow of soone standing to his left. He took another deep breath and glanced up. There stood Anna with a wide smile, the baby wrapped in a white cloth cradled in her arms.
"Look, Daddy. Your little princess wants the very first thing she sees in this world to be her daddy's face," Anna spoke in a teasing tone, but without a doubt, she too was very happy.
"…" Jayden rubbed his palms against his clothes, feeling a bit flustered. Even though he knew that he was going to be a father, now that it had actually happened, the change seed too sudden and overwhelming.
He hastily scanned his own body, and after making sure he was completely clean, he extended his hand and took the baby from Anna's hands. Forcefully stopping the trembling of his hands, he held the small bundle of white cloth with utmost care, as if it was the most fragile thing in the world.
Finally getting his daughter in his arms, Jayden looked down and saw her adorable face for the first ti—and his mind went blank as he dazedly stared at her small face.
Her small nose, lips, shiny white hair—she looked completely like a smaller and cuter version of Alice. Jayden carefully looked at each of her features, registering that face deeply into his mind.
Just as he was looking down at the angelic face, her tiny eyelids fluttered and she slowly opened her eyes, revealing blood-red pupils. Just from one glance, one could tell that her eyes looked just like Jayden's—devilish and captivating.
After opening her eyes, the baby girl looked at Jayden's face without blinking, as if she too was reading his face.
The pair of father and daughter were staring at each other in complete silence, almost like nothing else existed at this mont.
Even though this was the first ti he had looked at this absolutely adorable creature, his heart was already filled with so much love. All his worries and thoughts were washed away, and he felt that every hardship he had faced before was more than worth it just for the fact that he got to see and hold such a precious and pretty doll.
All the other won in the room silently looked at them and didn't disturb the wholeso first eting between the two, but they couldn't stop themselves from clicking hundreds of photos. After all, the two of them looked just too good together.
After who knows how much ti had passed, Jayden was pulled out of his strange state by the sound of rustling clothes. He finally broke eye contact with his daughter and glanced up to see that Alice was awake.
While carrying his little princess in his arms, Jayden walked close to Alice. He couldn't stop a big and warm smile from appearing on his face. After sitting at the corner of the bed, he carefully passed the baby into Alice's arms, who was in a half-sitting position.
Then he caressed her head and asked in a love-filled tone, "Are you fine?"
Alice's eyes held the sa adorned expression as she gazed at her daughter's face for the first ti. She too felt that their baby really looked like a smaller version of her—but she had her eyes from Jayden. The mother and daughter gazed into each other's eyes in silence.
"Mmm." Alice nodded to Jayden after a minute, then looked at him and couldn't hide her happiness.
Jayden wanted to say so many things to his beautiful wife at this mont, but after a mont of silence, he could only mutter two words.
"Thank you…"
Then he hugged Alice gently. She had gone through so much pain and suffering. At one point, she even wanted to die—but now, they couldn't have been any happier.
Both glanced down at the little munchkin who kept shifting her beady eyes from her father to her mother, making their hearts flutter with just her gaze.
"Hubby, you have beco a father," Alice muttered softly, leaning her head against his chest.
"Mmm," Jayden nodded, wondering if it was just a sweet dream.
