The second general looked at Jayden with a scornful expression, and with a sneer he moved as lightning bolts danced around his body; ti seed to slow down for the general as he raced through space, his body disappearing completely.
He was extrely proud of his speed, even though the first general—who was a whole lot more powerful than him—had trouble matching his speed; so the second general was more than sure that even if Jayden were stronger than him to so extent, just his speed alone would give him a big advantage.
Staring at Jayden like prey, the general ran around him at extrely high speed, and as he ran his speed kept increasing; the space crackled with electricity, his speed increasing to such limits that only a very few people could even follow the moving blur.
'Sigh, it's a pity I can't kill him; I guess I will have to beat him up until he gives up all resistance. At this speed, I can even land a few hits on the first general—I am sure this creature can't even see properly now.'
The first general thought, feeling giddy at his speed, but as his gaze landed on Jayden he felt a shiver run across his body, for Jayden's gaze was clearly focused on him.
He floated without any change in his expression as his pupils moved ever so slightly, always keeping the second general within his sight; Jayden's devoid eyes made him feel humiliated and disgruntled, his speed being one thing he was most proud of and also his soft spot.
'This is just a coincidence, and even if by so chance he could follow with his eyes, he definitely won't be fast enough to react.' The second general cald his mind, pushing past his limits as he ran to the point that space itself began to slightly burn his skin.
Most people couldn't even see anything more than electricity crackling in the sky; the general continued to run around Jayden at his fastest speed, and the mont he didn't feel Jayden's sight on himself he twisted his body and shot towards Jayden—aiming to strike him without holding back.
BOOOOM
A loud explosive sound rang out as electricity burst through the air, and everyone focused their gazes on the two figures visible in the sky; the second general, after striking Jayden, stopped a few dozens of ters away from him as they both floated with their backs facing each other.
Blood spurted out as everyone gasped; all eyes first moved toward Jayden's arm as they saw blue blood dripping down, and then they looked at the general who was missing an arm—it was just too fast, and no one could understand how in that instant Jayden had ripped apart the second general's arm completely.
"H- How is this possible?" the second general turned slightly and looked at his missing limb; his attack didn't even cause a scratch to appear on Jayden's skin— heck, he wasn't even able to touch the fabric of his cloth while Jayden tore off his arm and was holding it between his thumb and forefinger.
"Haa… Do you call that fast? I almost feel sorry for you. Now, let show you just a glimpse of true speed." Jayden said as he slowly turned.
"!!!" Frightened shitless, the general instantly readied himself for the attack, but suddenly Jayden just disappeared from his place; before he could even understand what had happened the second general felt sothing touching his shoulder.
The second general barely noticed Jayden appear beside him, a firm palm already resting on his shoulder as a calm but terrifying voice sounded in his ears.
"Shall we take a little walk?"
Before the second general could respond, Jayden moved forward, his speed increasing to an extre level before the poor general even had ti to blink. His eyes shot wide open—literally, frozen in utter shock, an expression of fear and sheer disbelief etched on his face.
As the two moved forward, the limitations of space and ti were broken; not even a mont had passed, but it seed as if centuries had gone by. The general felt an intense burning sensation across each and every part of his body, almost as if every cell and organ of his body was being burned and exploded under the devastating pressure.
'S- Such speed…' These were the last thoughts that ca to his mind as despair filled him; his own speed couldn't even be compared— it is like comparing the size of a bug with the largest planets, utter nonsense.
They had covered an unknown distance; no matter how much pain he felt, even as his limbs and flesh began to lt, the second general couldn't do anything. His eyes popped and his skin was ripped apart, bones cracked and soon beca powder, and by the ti Jayden stopped there wasn't any trace of the once mighty general left.
Every single person in the grand colosseum felt the shock of their lives; they weren't able to see anything. To them, Jayden and the general were floating side by side one mont, and in the next instant Jayden stood just a couple of steps from his original position while the general had completely disappeared.
"W- What happened just now? I only saw that creature standing beside our general for a mont and then he appeared two steps ahead; where is the general?" one of the spectators spoke, as fear finally began to creep into their hearts.
"M- Maybe he is just showing off his speed again; he might be running around that's why we can't see him, but then why isn't there any electricity?" another person added.
"Oh! Who exactly is that guy? Even I can't see through him." the old man felt his curiosity increase even more as he saw Jayden kill a person at the two-star level without even actually attacking him.
"…" the emperor frowned; the death of a general was a big loss even for him—it had greatly reduced the overall strength of the topaz universe and he still hadn't been able to gouge out Jayden's true strength.
"Wow! My brother had beco so much stronger." Emma exclaid happily; she just wanted to rush forward and hug him, but she also wondered if he is still the sa or maybe he had changed after these three years—a thought that instantly made her sad.
Jayden indifferently looked at his palm where lightning bolts danced; he had absorbed the energy and life essence of the second general, but it didn't feel like much.
"My lord, allow to restrain him; I wish to avenge second." The first general had a seething expression on his face as he knelt before the emperor and spoke.
"How confident are you in defeating him?" the emperor questioned; he didn't want to lose another general and was wondering if he should just deal with Jayden himself.
"…" The first general looked at Jayden for a few seconds and then spoke: "I am eighty per cent sure of my victory; please give a chance. I won't kill him but make him beg for death."
