The destructive energy stord for a few minutes, destroying space itself as it covered more and more distance.

Chronicler backed away, his expression still calm as he looked at the storm and then at Jayden, who finally managed to stabilize his body after being thrown so far away.

As the storm subsided, the space slowly pulsed and began to heal; Weaver's body was completely obliterated without even a part of him left, though his soul had survived this attack and hastily floated away from Jayden.

Jayden panted heavily, each breath burning his throat. His entire body was shivering and blood flowed out of his wounds; even his bones could be seen in several places while the red liquid had almost covered his entire body by now.

"..." Looking at the escaping soul, Jayden used world energy to create a temporary hand for himself; he didn't waste it on regeneration.

Then he thrust his hand towards the soul and made a gripping motion. Instantly, Weaver's soul was pulled towards Jayden despite all its screams, but Chronicler didn't help.

Just as it appeared over Jayden's palm, he instantly separated the consciousness and the soul energy, then he created another body and made the consciousness enter it.

Soon the screams of five guardians filled the room, all of them going through the sa cycle again and again. Weaver shouted in horror and anger, but Chronicler didn't co forward to help him.

Jayden looked down at the soul energy, the thing he was creating already had enough soul energy so he decided to use it for a different purpose; he absorbed it into his body and finally turned his gaze towards the last mber.

"Incredible, truly marvelous. I didn't expect that you were capable enough to take care of those five, you know I have put quite a lot of effort into raising them.

Oh well, they would be useless quite soon so it doesn't matter, but it's good that they were able to exhaust you to this level.

If it was your previous self, then you could have defeated without a doubt, but in your current state?

Hahaha haha ha ha oh, this is just too much fun, seeing you struggle, but no matter what the end result is going to be, the sa." Chronicler began to speak, his tone seeming completely different from before.

"You... Who are you?" Jayden asked as he slowly floated forward, gathering energy and hoping that he could at least finish this final opponent before his own end.

"Hmmm? So it seems you still rember nothing of your past, not that it is a surprise; otherwise, you would have already recognised .

The World Devourer sacrificed himself, but in the end it amounted to nothing. Anyway, to answer your question." While speaking, Chronicler's body suddenly began to change from its original appearance.

And as he completely transford, Jayden's eyes widened in surprise; he had finally recognised this guardian, even though he was seeing this being after a long ti, he still instantly recognised Chronicler.

"So it seems you have seen ; that saves the trouble of explaining things."

He had long black hair reaching down to his waist, bright golden eyes that contained an undeniable arrogance, silver-coloured skin, two horns on his head, which were about 10cm long, making a small curve at the tip.

He stood tall with a height of around 7 feet, and there was a long wound over his chest that started from his face, then moved down to his throat, headed down to his chest, and finally stopped around his waist.

The long and deep wound seed to have been there forever, yet it hadn't healed completely; occasionally, blood would still leak out of the cut, and his body emanated an even stronger aura as if he had just been holding back.

This was the sa person that Jayden had seen once in his dream in the greatest war of the universe; in that dream, he was sitting on a throne with an incredibly powerful army behind him, while all the rulers and races had co together to defend against him.

But even with their combined strength, they weren't a match for him at all. Jayden hadn't seen the war, but from what he had heard, this person should be dead.

"How are you... still alive?" Jayden asked, his voice filled with surprise and confusion. From what he had heard about that war so far, this man should have been long dead after all, the World Devourer killed him and then sacrificed himself to create that protective barrier around the universe.

"Hahaha, that damned World Devourer had to take his own life just to kill , and yet he failed.

He was too weak in his previous life and was forced to die by , and it seems nothing had changed in this life either. But if you sacrifice yourself, you wouldn't be able to kill ." Chronicler laughed; he looked at Jayden with arrogance as he stretched his body.

"So you have been the Chronicler from the start; you have been controlling this all for so many years." Jayden mumbled, his expression solemn; the other five guardians were just puppets he controlled and used as he wished.

"That's correct. I guess there is no harm in telling you about this. After that war where I was almost killed— cough badly injured—I was still able to escape, though all my army was slaughtered, and I had no way to leave this universe because of the barrier surrounding it.

But since the World Devourer had died, there weren't many who could challenge here; it took a lot of ti just to regain so level of my power and heal my injuries. It was then that I found these five ambitious n.

They were strong but stupid; I trained them for a long ti and turned them into my loyal puppets, and after many years the six of us killed one guardian after another and replaced them, gaining the highest level of power in this universe, and you know what happened after that?

I have been searching for that dinsional stone for so long so that I could return to my universe and present this universe as a gift to my emperor; well, it did take longer than expected, but I can finally complete my mission."

While Chronicler was speaking, it seed he had started to talk to himself and spoke more than he intended, but he still didn't think revealing any of this information was a problem.

"..." Jayden listened in silence; it did answer a few of his questions, but he still felt confused as to how this creature had survived, why did the World Devourer—or rather his past self—have to sacrifice his own life. Was it really just to kill this creature? Or just to surround the universe with that barrier?

From what Jayden could tell, the World Devourer definitely was stronger than Chronicler, though he couldn't tell by how much, so there was little to no chance that the World Devourer would sacrifice himself just to kill Chronicler; a feat he most probably could achieve while staying alive.
