Traveling along the edge, the group fought their way forward, and if they encountered any large tribes, Du You would lead his people to take a look. Unfortunately, they found none of the things Du You was looking for.

The edge of the kingdom was extrely dangerous, but the number of fourth-tier Magical Beasts here was not many. At least, they weren’t like the Iron-armored Lizards that existed as a group. Thus, the Crystal Coins they obtained on their way were not substantial.

During this period, they didn’t acquire any useful weapons, mostly just materials.

"This place is truly barren, nothing good drops out," Du You muttered as he walked. By now, Elsa had co to understand what Du You ant by "things dropping out," having witnessed that orb herself.

"Though we lack equipnt, having materials isn’t bad. The market price for so of these materials can equate to a normal weapon after five or six pieces, and we do have a lot of them," Lin Yucha whispered.

"Price is price, that’s just the official rate, but in reality, it doesn’t work that way. Weapons can be exchanged for a lot of things, but not those materials. Besides, the materials are not valued by quantity, but only the useful ones count. The rest, if not up to standard, are only good for pressing at the bottom of the box when given away," Du You said, waving his hand dismissively.

"But I rember so material shops would trade with the materials dropped," Lin Yucha ntioned.

Indeed, Du You nodded, many stores operated like that. After all, upgrading materials was mostly about luck, and discovering such materials was a stroke of good fortune for both parties involved in the trade.

"Wait, look ahead, there’s soone there," suddenly, Elsa pointed forward.

"How did you find him, hidden so secretly?" This was beyond his own range of perception, and he hadn’t noticed it himself. On the ground in the distance, a half-dead person was lying in a pit.

He looked like a Wolfman, who was seriously injured. "His internal injuries are too severe, even a bubble can’t save him." Du You summoned the bubble, but it could only use the Holy Healing Skill to hang on to life.

Such a severe injury, aggravated by the delay in ti, couldn’t be saved by ordinary Healing Skills anymore.

"I found the markings he left behind, there should be more than one person here," Elsa pointed to sothing on the trunk that looked like beast scratches, which seed chaotic at a glance, hard to imagine as a form of cryptic ssaging.

"You can even recognize this; having you around was the right choice."

Du You gave Elsa’s head a pat, and she rolled her eyes in response. She had gotten sowhat accustod to this gesture over the past few days; although she didn’t quite like it ntally, it sohow felt comforting.

Elsa’s ears flickered, and at that mont, the half-dead Wolfman finally opened his eyes.

"Quick, go back and tell the captain, those damned Sandpeople, they attacked us."

"Sandpeople? Why would Sandpeople attack you?" At this point, the Wolfman had fallen into his last monts again, only pointing a finger to his chest. Du You reached in and pulled out a map.

"What is this written here?" Du You looked at sothing on the map resembling Ghost Talismans. It certainly wasn’t text; otherwise, his panel’s translation function would have translated it.

Elsa took a glance and said, "This is a special cipher used by the Wolfpeople for their rituals, a variant of the ciphers used by shamans; I can barely make sense of it. It says that the Sandpeople seem to have an ancient relic here and now want to co to this place to find sothing, that’s why they attacked secretly."

"Strange, this is nominally the Barbarian Kingdom’s territory, why would there be a relic left by Sandpeople."

Elsa tilted her head and her face reddened slightly. Du You understood; it was probably the way of the Beastn, where no one’s land was considered no man’s land. And no man’s land ant it was up for grabs.

Beastn didn’t really have a concept of borders or territorial sovereignty; for most Beastn, wherever they could survive, they would go. This was a key reason why Beastn often clashed with neighboring nations.

It’s very likely that this place originally belonged to the Quicksand Empire but was later occupied by the Beastn.

Speaking of which, the Sandpeople were the only ones who would give up these lush Dense Forests, always preferring to stay in the desert. For Sandpeople, the desert was the best environnt for survival; as for food, their demand was actually not large.

"A relic of the Sandpeople must be very ancient; maybe there is sothing inside we need. After many years of the Sandpeople’s habitation, it’s very likely that they left behind sothing once valued by the powerful."

Du You nodded lightly, "There is that possibility, let’s go check it out."

Elsa too nodded, without any objections. After all, the Sandpeople actively ca for this relic which indicated that it was not any ordinary relic, otherwise, it would have been abandoned long ago.

Looking at the map, Du You’s face was filled with lines of confusion; it was too simplistic. He could only see so strange lines without any way to discern what they were.

However, for Elsa, although it was difficult, she could still make out the map with so struggle. Beastn maps were mostly like this, and Elsa had already gotten used to it. As for notifying the Wolfpeople or anything of that nature, they wouldn’t bother with such things. After all, Elsa was of the Fox People, why would she mingle with the Wolfpeople?

"It should be this direction, let’s follow it and have a look," Elsa suggested.

Du You nodded, placing Elsa behind the bubble. "Let’s speed up."

The bubble inherently possessed the ability for riding and did not reject Elsa. Elsa’s power had a very positive Attribute, which to the bubble was even more endearing than Du You and the others.

Grabbing the bubble’s mane, Elsa ran, cheerfully laughing. In the sky, Xiaozi monitored everything around them, and the other Summoned Beasts stood ready at all tis, prepared to rush out and battle at a mont’s notice.

Thus, the group bypassed stretches of terrain, hunted down a few fourth-tier Magical Beasts, and finally arrived near the location marked on the map. "There are Sandpeople present here, and not just a few," Du You comnted, stopping.

Through Xiaozi’s eyes, Du You saw that in this Dense Forest, there were at least a hundred Sandpeople. Because the ground here wasn’t sand, the Sandpeople couldn’t burrow underneath, so they had to walk on the surface, which made it easy for Xiaozi to spot them one by one.
