"When we enter later, everyone should try their best to ensure their own safety. Prioritize injuring the enemy’s physical body, and if that’s not possible, kill so of the Undead. Then everyone should proceed to the pre-determined rendezvous point," Xi Qianxue reiterated.
The location they had decided on was the one discussed at the eting, situated at the southernmost edge of the entire map. Despite the Plague Land being as large as several cities, the distance was negligible given their speed.
"Especially you, do not wander around, understand?" Xi Qianxue glared at Du You.
For so reason, seeing Li ngyao clinging to Du You ignited a naless rage in Xi Qianxue. What was key was that she herself didn’t understand why she felt this way, only that it irritated her inexplicably.
Especially that woman, Li ngyao — what was she doing staying so close to Du You? Since when had this woman beco so shaless?
"To the predetermined location? Alright, I’ll try," Du You said indifferently.
Xi Qianxue’s eyes flashed with fury just as she was about to say sothing, but ti had already caught up. Du You saw everyone instantly scattered by a force, turning into spirit energy particles of various colors.
Most of them were red, mixed with so green, and even a few white ones. As for himself, he still retained his own form, uncertain whether the World Boat used by the group even worked on him.
Just then, three small vortexes suddenly ford in the Void and swallowed both Du You and the two sisters.
"It seems it still works," Du You thought to himself, then entered the spatial tunnel. On the other side of the tunnel, a vortex suddenly appeared, and when Du You stepped out, there were no other people around him.
No, it wasn’t that there were no other people; rather, the area was teeming with monsters.
The air was rife with the stench of decay, causing even Du You to frown. The sky was gloomy, with black birds occasionally flying by, making sounds more unpleasant than crows.
The ground was no longer visible, entirely covered with corpses—so decayed, so fresh, and various bones scattered everywhere. There were small streams and puddles on the ground, composed of blood as well as dense nitrate-infused water.
Most repulsive to Du You were the many swaying figures around. Indeed, they were figures, various kinds of corpses — rotten, bloated, shriveled, stiff...
Countless in number, it was unclear whether these were zombies or sothing else. So were intact, others were missing parts, and still, others had an extra head or legs. These were mixed with animal corpses, wandering all around.
When Du You, a living person, appeared, these corpses seed to scent the ultimate delicacy, rushing towards the direction of Du You. "What a disgusting world," he said.
Directly targeting the ground, Du You released a Dark Swamp. A large swath of the Dark Swamp spread out, enveloping everything around it, and began to corrode and devour relentlessly. Whether it was on the ground or moving about, anything that it covered soon transford into dark energy. The air seed much fresher, at least in Du You’s perception.
"This disgusting world must have been provided by soone from the Necromancy Academy. I’ve heard that the people there have warped minds due to that kind of environnt — looking at this, it’s probably true," he thought.
Although Du You hadn’t paid much attention to the academy test, he still knew the rules of the test.
The academies were automatically paired; each academy had provided several different worlds for testing, demonstrating the foundation of each academy. Once matched, a random selection would be made from these provided worlds.
They were unlucky this ti to encounter the Necromancy Academy and face the world they had submitted. This world was such a nauseatingly uncomfortable place.
In this world, an ordinary person wouldn’t survive long. Not because of being chased by corpses, but because of the viruses and plagues, plus the Undead Power lingering in the air.
Ordinary people wouldn’t last long in this environnt before turning into a zombie. Even for Professionals like them, it was impossible not to be affected in such a condition; at least a first-tier Awakener would be significantly weakened. However, individuals with the Undead Attribute would perform notably stronger here.
Not to ntion the others, just the corpses alone; they could control them through special thods. They could even Summon the corpses from the ground, turning them into weapons of war at their disposal.
"The Ghost King must love this kind of environnt," Du You muttered to himself. He was thinking of the Ghost King, the only student in their class with the Undead Attribute.
It was a mystery why he hadn’t gone to the Necromancy Academy but had instead co to Capital University, which wasn’t very suited for him. Although Capital University was indeed the best academy, for an Undead Mage, the Necromancy Academy would be more appropriate.
"Look, there’s soone there," a voice sounded from afar, just as Du You was pondering.
Du You looked in that direction, and sohow, more than twenty people had surrounded him. From their black cloaks adorned with either skulls or so eerie patterns, they were definitely from the Necromancy Academy.
By their side, a large number of controlled corpses, along with various Undead Creatures like skeletons, had already ford a significant force. Although these Undead Creatures were of low tier, their sheer number was overwhelming.
Of course, among them were also a few second-tier Undead Creatures which were not altogether devoid of combat prowess.
"He’s not one of ours, kill him," a deep voice commanded, and without any further communication, a mass of Undead rushed toward Du You. Unfortunately, they didn’t look down.
The Undead that ran into the range of the Dark Swamp imdiately stopped and fell, then were completely corroded.
"He’s a third-tier, not easy to deal with."
"I’ll take this one, I love these types of enemies," said a cloaked figure devoid of Undead, suddenly brandishing a black scythe made of deathly power.
This person seed like a Ghost, gliding over the ground with considerable speed.
"Haha, it’s the Soul-Reaping Scythe, nobody can escape this attack," this was a very famous skill in the Necromancy Academy. However, without the aid of a Skill Scroll or similar items, comprehending and learning this skill wasn’t sothing anyone could achieve, and it was not cheap either. In fact, Capital University also offered various skills for them to learn.
