After dealing with the journalists, Du You and his team quickly set off again.
They had no choice; the attack window was very brief, only two days. Should they fail to accomplish it within two days, the enemy reinforcents will arrive. Of course, their own backup forces would also arrive.
By then, the fight wouldn’t be able to continue. Instead, they would be stuck in a deadlock, maintaining their current positions. For several years, there would be no changes on the small asteroid surface and Du You was not willing to wait that long.
After this incident, those who had been undermining Du You from the shadows certainly had a run of bad luck.
"I heard that the sons of important n who just got here are in big trouble. They’ve brought misfortune upon those they rely on. I wonder what will happen to them now," Lin Yushi shared the information she had gathered.
"It won’t be a big deal. Even though they have lost the opportunity to rise above others, there are still plenty of people kissing up to them," Sera retorted.
Hearing Sera’s words, Lin Yushi calmly countered, "Even if people are kissing up to them, what good would it do? They certainly won’t have the chance to participate in this battle. By the ti the war is over and everything has been sorted out, they’ll be re spectators."
She was right. Those people ca here to scrape so benefits off the battlefield.
But their plans were foiled by Du You and those who had just arrived lost their opportunities all of a sudden.
Sera had no idea what Du You was planning, otherwise she would have been taken aback.
Sera didn’t want to argue with Lin Yushi, not that she couldn’t, but because it felt immature. So, she quickly changed the subject. "After all, it’s not all bad news this ti. At least our forces have been fully replenished."
They had been waiting in line for two days without any progress, but now, in rely an hour, their troop supply was fully completed, even with quite a few extra soldiers.
Du You shook his head, "The newly joined troops have not undergone any real collaboration training, so they can’t exert much combat power on the battlefield."
"At least they are all professionally trained and have so experience."
Du You gave a light smile, "That’s why I feel most comfortable leaving them to you. When we reach the designated location, just get ready for defense." Hearing Du You’s words, Sera felt sowhat uneasy.
"Captain, you’re not planning to act alone again, are you?"
Du You nonchalantly nodded, "Of course. If I don’t act alone, wouldn’t my abilities be wasted? Though we have a lot of soldiers, their effectiveness on the battlefield would not be as strong as acting alone."
Sera didn’t know how to refute that, while the two sisters chuckled at the side with their hands covering their mouths.
The combat power they displayed was too strong. Though they could not outmatch a well-equipped platoon, their small size made them very flexible, and they could execute unthinkable maneuvers.
Added to that now was Du You’s new pet, the Photon Elf, which was like a cheat code on the battlefield. Sera didn’t tell anyone else, but she saw potential in this thing, believing Du You would never be content with his current status.
Before long, the group arrived at the front line. Even before reaching it, Du You could see the sparkling lights in the sky, and deafening blasts ringing out continuously from the front. The battle had already begun.
"I didn’t expect to see close combat troops. What a surprise," Du You said as he looked ahead.
At that mont, so giant flesh puppets of the enemy and so strange robots on their side were engaged in a swords fight. Du You thought that in a technologically advanced warfare, only ranged troops existed. To his surprise, close-combat troops were also present. Of course, their swords were special energy weapons, with very high attack power.
If a group of long-range troops were attacked by these swords, Du You was sure they would not have a good ti.
"Of course there are close combat troops. You can’t rely solely on city wall types of defense. Didn’t we bring so too?" Sera pointed to so armored land troops running forward behind them.
Upon closer inspection, Du You saw that they did, it’s only because their weapons were not activated and looked like a small handle, so he didn’t see it. He had assud these were the sa as other land-based weapons: long-range troops.
"Alright, alright, so I didn’t recognize them. What’s the big deal? In my eyes, they’re all the sa," Du You resignedly shrugged as he saw the laughter on the others’ faces.
"It’s not the sa. These land close combat troops have very strong defense. The shields they hold are specially made. In a defensive posture, their defense is almost as good as a patrol warship. Your Energy Gathering Magic Cannon can only penetrate three at a ti," Lin Yucha inford Du You of her calculations.
Du You frowned. He could only penetrate three? That was his most powerful penetration ability.
If they were manned, he could use Soul Pierce. But since they were machine-operated, he would have to use brute force. Du You realized he was not a match for a large number of close-combat chas.
Though they couldn’t do much damage to him, he definitely couldn’t beat them either.
It was fortunate he hadn’t encountered them before. Otherwise, with different weapons coordinating with each other, there was no way he could have achieved so much.
As they were talking, a person from the front line ran over. "Stop there. Show your ID numbers."
Du You quickly recited their ID numbers. The person pointed in a direction, "Hurry up. That’s your defense zone. You must hold it until the attacking forces from the rear arrive." After giving them the map data, he turned and left.
At this point, their side had not yet launched an attack. Instead, the Blood-colored Empire took the initiative. Ultimately, their troop numbers were larger on this planet.
The great war started, and now the entire line had entered the war mode. Although their side had a strong patrol warship, so did the enemy’s, and not to ntion, several land weapons needed to be guarded against as well. If they charged in like this, their patrol warship would certainly be shot down. At present, their side only held the advantage in high-end combat power.
To expand this advantage, they would have to make a bold move and shatter the enemy’s forces in one go.
Du You watched his soldiers setting up defense lines. After giving Sera a certain look, Sera made up an excuse to cover for Du You, while Du You, together with the two sisters, quietly slipped away.
The thod they used was still to drill through the ground, like a groundhog. Though it wasn’t a glorious thod, it worked. Throughout the process, no one noticed that Du You and the two sisters had secretly left.
