In a testing field, Du You was testing the flying soldiers. These entities were not large, about 1.2 ters tall, and together they looked like a cluster of tal. Their heads did not rotate, but they were equipped with a ring of sensors.
Much like insects, they could perceive their surroundings from all directions, without any blind spots. They even had thermal and sonic perception amongst other sensing thods, making it very difficult for a conventional stealth thod to evade them.
"Our flying soldiers are equipped with two types of weapons, energy guns, and radiation guns."
Saying this, Sera picked up a gun, her own gear. With a gentle pull of the trigger, a blue laser shot through a target in the distance. "The energy gun is mainly for destruction, quite common."
Next, Sera fired with the other gun in her left hand, and a green light burst out, penetrating the target but leaving no trace. It was as though the shot was an illusion, causing no damage.
"The radiation gun is not for material damage, it’s for destroying living beings. The radiation gun has strong piercing power and can penetrate various tals to kill life forms inside. Its only weakness is that if there is an energy barrier, the effectiveness of the radiation gun can be greatly reduced, even to the point of having no effect."
Du You nodded - this made sense. Otherwise, wouldn’t the radiation gun be invincible?
After trying it out, Du You found that he could control it very proficiently using his powerful spiritual perception. However, he was not a gunner, so he had no bonuses and the weapon served no purpose to him.
Using such a weapon was less effective than using his magic spells.
The sisters tried it as well, but gave up soon after. "It’s not as good as our bows and arrows, it just has a longer range." The sisters had no interest in weapons that weren’t suited to their abilities.
Sera rolled her eyes. She was truly jealous of these powerful individuals with superpowers. Sadly, she was just an ordinary person.
Then, Du You had the flying soldiers simulate combat to evaluate their strength. Rated at level 18, the flying soldiers didn’t seem too strong to Du You, and they were quite fragile.
Their defensive barriers were weak and any attack surpassing a certain extent would inflict damage. They were nowhere near the level they were rated at. However, the attack of the flying soldiers was very powerful.
The attack effect of the energy gun barely reached the level of a normal tier-3 attack. Du You needed to ride his mount, and Lin Yucha’s Floating Cloud was a battling platform which wasn’t flexible. Lin Yushi, however, had no issues. In terms of comprehensive flying abilities, her Demon Destruction Wings were much superior to the flying devices.
For the next few days, Du You stayed in the training field adjusting to the flying device. Lin Yushi tried it out briefly and ultimately gave up, finding her own skills more useful.
After a few days, thanks to their imnse learning ability, Du You and Lin Yucha had completely figured out all features of the flying device. They were now able to fly rapidly and flexibly. Even when you compare to Lin Yushi’s Demons Destruction Wings, they were not far behind. Of course, in real battles, the flying device would only be used strategically. Generally, they still used flying creatures.
Over the past days, Sera brought loads of collected data to Du You, who checked it from ti to ti.
"Four machine-gun fortresses, two laser towers. These are the enemy’s ground defenses. Our first task is to neutralize these, then advance further. By then, they will release warplanes and chas, which will be your job."
