Within the valley, the formidable presence of the Earth Demon Dragon’s leader raged forward, unstoppable by anyone.
In just two assaults, the massive Heavenly Disaster Demonic Dogs were slayed and sent packing. Even the sand released by his Death Scorpion didn’t pose much of a challenge, failing to entangle them.
Attempting to poison the dragon was futile as its body was cloaked in a swirling shield of sand, a defensive magic spell. The spell was mightily robust and Du You knew his Death Scorpion stood no chance of penetrating it with a Death Raid attack.
His Death Gorilla, too, was impaled through the heart by the dragon’s horn in the onslaught, dying once.
However, this caused the Earth Demon Dragon to pause for a mont. "Good opportunity."
In the sky, the eyes of the two pestering sisters simultaneously lit up. Lin Yushi rolled and sent three bolts of Thunder and Lightning towards the dragon below. The blood-red Thunderstorm Arrows ford a trident, enveloping the Earth Demon Dragon.
The Thunderstorm Arrows exploded into three orbs of lightning, spreading out a Hell Blood Demon Thunder. This broke down the dragon’s defenses and seeped into its wounded body. The dragon felt a sudden and profound weakness.
At that mont, a rapidly spinning Dragon Tooth Arrow flew from the sky. The Earth Demon Dragon only had ti to close its eyes before feeling a sharp pain. The Spiral Snipe had penetrated its eyelid, shattering an eyeball.
But the attack stopped there. The dragon was protected by a potent force that stopped the arrow from going further. Enraged, the dragon stomped on the ground, setting off a powerful magic explosion.
"Retreat, quickly!" Lin Yucha cried and instantaneously moved away. Without a mont’s hesitation, Lin Yushi also teleported away. Even Du You on the ground hastened to teleport back.
Just as the trio moved out, the ground erupted with Land Thorns like a blooming giant lotus flower. The scorpion beneath the surface was torn apart and died once. The Hell Blood Demon Dogs nearby were torn to shreds.
The far-off Unicorn flipped in fright and dashed further away, opening its Holy Light Shield to protect its rear, looking surprisingly comical.
The next mont, the Land Thorns exploded. Countless spikes flew towards the sky, like a rocket shot heavenwards.
The sky where Lin Yushi was just hovering was especially densly attacked. But the three birds also in the vicinity were simultaneously destroyed. Little Purple, who had once perished, was now truly dead.
Both the Black Jade Griffin and Ghost Pattern Crow were instantly revived after death, hurriedly leaving the spot and avoiding the falling thorns. After launching such a large-scale attack, the Earth Demon Dragon, too, seed to be gasping for breath.
Noticing the state of the Earth Demon Dragon, Du You’s eyes lit up. This was an excellent opportunity. Paying no attention to the thorns falling from the sky, both Du You and his Death Gorilla promptly teleported to the dragon’s side in unison.
The Death Gorilla stretched out its hand and grabbed the horn on the dragon’s head and delivered a punch.
Injured, the Earth Demon Dragon opened its mouth wide and bit the Death Gorilla. As the Death Gorilla poisoned the dragon, half of its body was ripped apart by the dragon’s bite, leading to its second impending death.
What the Earth Demon Dragon failed to notice was that on the other side, Du You had also co close. His punctured eye gave him a severely impaired sight.
Du You did not attack, the effect of his Dissolution Spell on that side hadn’t dissipated yet. With no delay, Du You cast a defensive spell, Star Guardian. 512 black stars suddenly appeared and began to revolve.
Employing a defensive spell for close-range attack is probably sothing exclusively his.
But the Star Guardian’s offence was imnsely mighty. The sheer destructive power of countless fast-spinning stars was crazed and frantic. And unexpectedly, their resistance to magic was being disintegrated by the Dissolution Spell on their skin.
The Earth Demon Dragon could only react once its skin was smashed, scales flew off, and flesh splattered. A layer of its body was marred.
The dragon tried to turn around, but was held immobile. The near-death Gorilla, its expressionless face grasping the horn on the dragon’s head, was executing its master’s orders with the last of its life force.
Filled with fury, the Earth Demon Dragon took another bite, crushing the Gorilla’s internals along with its heart. It was only then that the Gorilla truly died, turning into specs of light as it started to vanish.
Just as the dragon turned, it saw a flash of light, which disappeared instantly. Du You had activated the Shadow Teleport, leaving once again. As soon as he stopped, Du You summoned a Light Ball into his body.
In an interlude, the Light Ball turned into specs of light, restoring one-tenth of Du You’s magic power. Du You had activated his Dark Spirit Light, all in preparation for this mont.
Using any other spell would be more bearable, but teleportation consud too much energy. Despite leveling up and reducing the consumption of Shadow Teleport considerably, using it continuously still took a toll on his magic power. Consuming the Dark Spirit Light Ball and restoring his magic power seed to be the perfect solution.
"Such a pity. If only he reacted one second later." Du You sighed in regret.
The Earth Demon Dragon was mangled and battered on one side, even its bones were badly affected. But it was just not enough to harm its insides. The destructive force of Star Guardian was so chaotic that had it reached the insides, the organs would’ve been pulverized.
Since the Earth Demon Dragon still held the capacity to fight, Du You felt particularly regretful.
"No worries, we have enough odds to win." Although Du You’s pets were destroyed, their overall combat strength had not suffered, enabling them to continue the battle.
The Earth Demon Dragon, however, that just erupted, was now in a wretched state. Unable to mobilise its magic power in ti, it didn’t even manage to use its defensive spells. Du You, noticing the opportunity was now ecstatic.
"Since you refuse to defend, don’t bla for taking advantage."
A thought popped into Du You’s mind. The Death Scorpion, having just died once, was still on the ground and now turned pitch black before it could burrow underground.
Despite sensing a threat, the Earth Demon Dragon was slow to react due to its heavy injuries. Before it knew it, the Death Scorpion had landed on its injured body and injected its sting.
The potent venom instantly seeped into the dragon’s body, affecting not just the outer layer, but also the internal organs.
"Despicable human beings, to use poison." The Earth Demon Dragon was no fool. The mont it was struck, it knew it had been poisoned. This was no ordinary toxin, it was extrely effective on its system.
