On the third day, at noon, the army of the Sandpeople finally arrived. Quite clearly, the Sandpeople separated into two distinct groups. Although they maintained so semblance of formation, overall, they remained in disarray.

"Shali, I am certain to win this ti, there’s absolutely no way you can beat ." a Quicksand soldier shouted loudly.

A four-ard Quicksand soldier standing next to him disdainfully replied, "Fengcao, the quality of your warriors is nothing to write ho about." The two n locked eyes before hastening their own pace.

However, as they continued onward, the two of them ca to a halt: "What’s going on? Why is there a big rock blocking the way? The map we were given indicated that this was a passable route."

"Leader, we don’t know either, but we can’t get past it now. This rock is too big. Even if a few of us could get past, I’m afraid the others can’t. Let’s try taking a detour."

"The south, there is another route there, although inconvenient, let’s try going around it. It’s just uphill."

A second-tier Quicksand soldier laughed heartily and walked towards the side. However, as he was approaching the gap, a "boom" sound broke out from the ground and a black spark exploded which engulfed him.

The Quicksand soldier was imdiately swept away by the explosion without even a chance to scream, instantly being burned into charcoal.

"Damn humans, they have actually set up traps here. Go, send more Sand Snakes to test the grounds."

With a wave of his hand, Shali directed a priest to summon a few Sand Snakes. However, the Sand Snakes didn’t get very far before they were stuck in a dark swamp on the ground and eventually completely disintegrated and devoured.

"We can’t go from here, the crevices here are too narrow. We can only take this narrow path. If they set traps specifically for this place, I’m afraid the losses will be great." Finally, soone spoke up.

"Hmph, if you can’t even lead the way properly, we’ll go." Fengcao, standing nearby, waved his hand, leading his people to run towards the south.

"Do you think I’d lose to you? Follow up, we cannot lose to them." Shali also mobilized his n towards the southern route. The remaining Sandpeople, in a vast array, changed their route.

"Quickly, go back and inform the Lord that they are heading towards the south." A hidden scout suddenly erged.

Before the arrival of the Sandpeople, Du You’s side had already received the ssage. Seeing the Sandpeople following the route he had planned, Du You felt much more at ease. If they had insisted on the other route, although there were plenty of traps, they would not have been as effective.

Du You casually took out a bottle of magic potion and drank it. He had already consud several bottles. Setting up the traps earlier had drained much of his magic power. Even hunting nearby Magical Beasts was not enough to recuperate his power, so he had to rely on potions.

With this bottle, Du You’s magic power recovered to over 80%.

"Shaliya, are you ready on your end?" Du You spoke into the Communication Mirror.

Shaliya imdiately responded, "Once they arrive, I’ll be able to attack." At the central part of the territory, another Communication Mirror was aid at where the traps were located. Although the view was quite fuzzy, one could make out the specifics of the events unfolding there.

Du You alongside the two sisters and Luo Jia were waiting at the front line, while Shaliya returned to the inner part of the territory. This was because only there could Shaliya control the functional buildings, to prevent them from acting randomly.

anwhile, news of the situation here finally reached White Stone City.

"What? The Sandpeople deliberately distracted us, their real target is the south. Is that place the territory of Viscount Du You? Damn it, we absolutely can’t let them succeed."

The city lord was furious. Du You’s territory held great potential. If it developed and grew stronger, it could help White Stone City bear a great deal of pressure. He was the least willing to see any problems occur in Du You’s territory.

But he didn’t know anything until the attack started, and only then did he receive the news. Thinking about this, the city lord imdiately ordered: "Send the first and second flight squadrons to rush over there, no matter what, we must save Viscount Du You."

This ti the city lord ordered directly without consulting anyone. When the nobles of White Stone City noticed two squadrons of flying cavalry leave, it was too late to stop them, they could only continue with their own plans.

At this ti, the Sandpeople army had arrived on the southern path. The path here was very spacious and showed no signs of obstruction. This reassured the Sandpeople.

However, the Sandpeople were still carefully checking the ground. Why? Because along the way, they had been scared by the traps. Every now and then, soone would be swallowed by the dark swamp, or step on the Hellfire Thunder.

Initially, the second-tier Quicksand soldiers and Quicksand Priests were at the forefront. But, as they continued along the path and lost more than twenty of their upper-echelon mbers, they finally realized they couldn’t be at the front anymore.

Now at the front were Sand Snakes and Desert Wolves. Every now and then, Sand Snakes and Desert Wolves would step on traps and get destroyed. To trigger the Hellfire Thunder, the traps required actual life forms that they had raised over ti, not just summons. Each explosion, every scream, caused heartache to the priests behind.

Yet, even in these circumstances, there were often tricky Hellfire Thunders detonating in the middle of the troop, taking Sandpeople lives sporadically. Among them, there were second-tier Sandpeople.

By the ti they got close to the territory, they only had a little over four hundred second-tier Sandpeople left. More than sixty second-tier Sandpeople had died, and they hadn’t even started fighting yet.

"We’re finally here. Those damned humans should pay the price." The eyes of the two Sandpeople leaders turned red.

anwhile, Du You had also received a ssage: "Have they arrived yet, Shaliya? How are your preparations?"

Shaliya imdiately said, "Their elites are passing through the trap area. I plan to wait until they get to the tail-end before acting. If we act now, they have too many powerful mbers and I’m afraid it won’t be effective."

"Just play it by ear." Du You nodded at Shaliya.

Their target was not the ordinary Sandpeople behind but a part of the hidden priests and so of the things used to attack the city wall. Indeed, the Sandpeople didn’t bring siege equipnt, but that doesn’t an they didn’t bring items for sieging.

They had so ladders and a type of sphere specifically for corroding the city wall, which only needed to be thrown to be activated. In the front, the second-tier Quicksand soldiers slowly passed this place, one by one the people behind started to approach the trap area, the arrow tower was gathering power.
