Just as Du You was about to leave, he suddenly stopped, feeling as if he had forgotten sothing.
"Right, the mine, there seems to be sothing in there." Du You didn’t know why this feeling would co over him. He had clearly already asked the Cursed Crow King to retrieve everything from inside.
After thinking it over, since he had already taken care of all the demons in this area, and this place had beco a special exception, demons would generally avoid this canyon, and wouldn’t easily co in anymore.
Since there wasn’t any danger, he decided to go check it out. "Let’s go and have a look at the mine first."
Du You had suddenly changed his decision and Lin Yucha and Lin Yushi didn’t have any say in the matter, only compliantly following Du You towards the mine.
Du You went into the mine, walking in the direction he felt in his gut. When he ca to a halt, in front of Du You was a huge chunk of ore. "It must be this place. It’s like sothing is waiting for here."
Du You didn’t hesitate for a mont. He was eager to see what was inside. He didn’t have any mining skills or tools, but that didn’t pose a problem for Du You. Du You pointed in front of him and directly released a Disintegration Spell.
Under the effects of the Disintegration Spell, the ore shattered instantly. After three spells, Du You stopped because the thing inside had been revealed. "It’s actually a Dark Elent Stone, even though it’s only a first tier."
Du You’s eyes widened, he had not expected that he would be guided here to find a Dark Elent Stone.
Although a less than second-tier Dark Elent Stone couldn’t help to upgrade his skill level, a first-tier Dark Elent Stone could help to change his skills. He had originally only had one and was sowhat reluctant to use it.
"I understand, that force guiding must be the will of this world."
Du You finally experienced the advantage of being noticed by the world’s will, even though it was just a general guide, it could help him to seek fortune and avoid disaster, and get more benefits.
After storing the ore, the feeling dissipated. Du You knew, it’s very likely that there were no more Dark Elent Stone in this mine.
After all, it was only a small mining area, not a large-scale one, even having one was quite good. Even if there were any more, they might have been mined by others.
"Let’s go, let’s hit the road." Du You led the two out of the cave, then ran deeper on the Heavenly Disaster Demonic Dogs, the further they progressed, the fewer the number of people encountered.
The sisters were not without any use at this point. Particularly Lin Yushi, who had the Demon Wheel, a potent weapon, she could slay demons from a far with her arrows. Even if they t a second-tier demon, they could severely wound it from afar, while Du You could easily finish it off when they got closer.
On their way towards the North, the number of red crystal coins in Du You’s hand gradually increased.
"We’re in luck this ti, Yucha, you’ve got a weapon now." Du You opened a sphere and suddenly burst into laughter.
Demon Bow: Maximum Draw 14 (Light Red).
Although it doesn’t have any special attributes, Lin Yucha’s true strength could be shown.
"Thank you, Master." Lin Yucha gladly took the new weapon into her hands. Now he had two powerful archers. Even if they encountered demons with second-tier strength, they could easily kill it from afar.
Unless they were second-tier demons with special abilities, otherwise, they didn’t stand a chance of getting close to them.
"Ah, if only I had bought a second-tier map earlier." Du You looked at the map in his hand with frustration. The dangerous areas in the distance were now blank.
However, as they gradually moved further towards the north, Du You felt a force guiding him. So areas repelled him; so areas made him feel danger; so areas made him feel comfortable.
"Given my nature, the areas that I feel repulsion from, are likely places where other professionals are; then the dangerous areas are likely areas where powerful second-tier demons, or even possibly third-tier demons are located. Lastly, the places that make feel comfortable are probably suitable for to grind and kill monsters."
Du You silently began analyzing. Now that he had been chosen by destiny, he should make good use of it.
"I heard that the battle frontline in the Partition Mountain Area and Partition Plain to the far North. Because of the Professionals, the defense line from the Solid Wall has been pushed up to this point. However, this place is also where the most number of demons are found."
At the words of Lin Yucha, Du You nodded. This was sothing the duo had learned before.
The Solid Castle was indeed the frontline for resisting demons many years back, but not anymore.
This was why, after passing the Solid Wall, a large area was still safe for the Awakeners. As they continued to head further north, they arrived at the Partition Mountain Area, which was a dangerous place.
Years ago, with the help of the Professionals, the frontline had been pushed up to this place. There were rumors that there was a massive price to pay to achieve that. However, the exact events are sothing of a blur now.
All in all, now, with the mountain range acting as a barrier, humans were keeping the demons at bay on the other side of the plain.
Demons could attack at any ti, but humans could also counter-attack. It was said that this situation had been going on over the last few decades. If we were to consider the ti on Earth, it had only been a dozen years or so.
But, this was ultimately an internal matter of this world; Du You couldn’t have known anything from Earth.
Following his instincts, he didn’t encounter any other Professionals as he went ahead. When he reached thePartition Mountain Area, he saw a series of rolling hills, with walls connecting the valleys in-between.
Passing through wasn’t going to be easy. But Du You showed his Demon Hunter Certificate and passed the light scan proving that he wasn’t a demon, after which they let them pass.
As expected, as long as you aren’t a demon, many rules in this world are quite flexible.
"Be careful once you pass, and co back alive." A city guard called out loudly to them.
Du You nodded: "Don’t worry, we’ll definitely survive." This kind of blessing was a bit hard to swallow but this was the norm in this world.
After reaching the second tier, the sisters, like him, could spend up to half a year in the Other World.
Of course, Du You couldn’t possibly spend half a year here, else he would be gone for two months back on Earth. He focused on killing as many enemies as possible and accomplishing his missions.
