For the first ti, they had completed the main task right after arriving in a new world, a truly novel experience for many of them. They followed the white-skinned people, traveling toward the southernmost part of the island.

The further they went, the more white-skinned people Du You noticed. Nonetheless, they all seed to live in very primitive conditions. There were not even houses here.

Gourd Island was divided into two halves, each side quite large and densely populated. With so many people, it would generally be expected that so level of civilization would erge, but there was none here.

Lacking tal weapons could be understood due to absence of ores. So, their weapons were primarily made of wood or stone. So even used bones of beasts. However, strong beasts were rare here, so most weapons made from bone were crafted from the remains of powerful creatures that had washed ashore from the sea.

People lived without houses, either dwelling in tree hollows or burrowing caves in the ground. This left their skin exceedingly pale.

They had heard about the black-skinned people of the north who were reputed to live in the open, resting anywhere convenient.

Neither race had developed agriculture, both living primarily by hunting. However, it was not typical hunting; perhaps driven by hunger, they had developed sothing akin to animal husbandry.

They would designate certain areas in the forest for animals to breed and grow. Once the creatures reached a certain number, hunters would cull a portion, sparing the young, and bring back the at to eat.

Their thod of preserving food was quite magical; they had created a special magic spell for it. Once the spell was cast upon the food, it would remain fresh for several years.

All these data were basic and gave so understanding about the two races, but could not provide much assistance in battles. As Du You observed, he compared it with the data he had gathered. For the whole journey, everyone had walked, except for Baobao, who enjoyed a completely different treatnt.

Even as they moved further, there were always people pointing weapons at him, as if he was being escorted.

Moreover, they increasingly encountered people along the way and more and more gathered around Baobao. Eventually, Baobao was surrounded by hundreds who treated him like a great villain.

None felt envious of such treatnt, only speechless. They never had imagined that a re difference in skin color could lead to this situation. Based on Baobao’s complexion, he was likely to receive similar treatnt from the black-skinned people too.

They wondered where Teacher Liu had gone. Ever since they had arrived, Teacher Liu seed to have vanished without any clue. He might be hiding sowhere, observing them using thods unknown to the others.

However, since Teacher Liu did not appear, they let it pass. After about an hour’s walk, they finally reached their destination.

Soon, an elderly man who looked quite old and was seated on a wooden chair was brought out. His appearance was more revered than the others. He must be the chieftain of the white-skinned people.

"Welco, my people. I hear each of you possesses great power. With your aid, we will certainly have the upper hand in our struggle against the black-skinned people."

The chieftain seed quite pleased with their arrival. The strength of the black-skinned people had always surpassed theirs, but their numbers were fewer. If it were not for this, they would have been overrun by them long ago. Now, with the arrival of so many powerful individuals capable of offering sacrifices, the chieftain was understandably excited.

"Stop touching , what are you doing, let go! Old man, believe it or not, I will bite you!" Off to the side, Baobao’s angry and embarrassed voice could be heard. When the crowd turned to look, the sight was quite amusing.

Three old n with wrinkled skin were scrutinizing every inch of Baobao’s body, ignoring his struggles. Weren’t they worried about the crowd of people watching them?

Poor Baobao, he was thoroughly inspected from head to toe. When the old n finally left, Baobao looked up at the sky, his face filled with despair.

Everyone held their laughter, finding it really hard to resist.

The eldest of them stepped forward and said, "Chieftain, this person’s skin is completely different from ours. It seems as though so strange disease might have caused it. I don’t think such a skin color could appear amongst the black-skinned people."

It seed they were trying to determine which side Baobao belonged to. But would this thod really serve the purpose?

"I told you already that I’m not a black-skinned person, but you didn’t believe ," Baobao lanted.

"Poor child, you’ve indeed suffered. From now on, you will be one of us, the white-skinned people. I, as the chieftain, acknowledge your identity." Well, it seed Baobao had at last completed his main task.

However, the manner in which it was completed was utterly comical.

At that mont, an elder missing half of his beard rushed in.

"Chieftain, the black-skinned people have reinforced their hold on the connecting point. They often sneak attacks by swimming over. A lot of our people have been threatened already. If this continues, we will suffer serious losses in our hunting grounds on the border."

Hearing this, the chieftain furiously smashed his chair’s armrest: "Those damned bastards, does anyone know of any way to deal with them?!"

This brazen question left the crowd utterly silent. This was a question posed every ti. If there was a solution, would they still be this helpless? The combat abilities of the individual black-skinned people far exceeded theirs.

The significant point was that the southern island was abundant in resources and had a larger terrain than the opposition’s. They had to dedicate many individuals to guard their own properties, making it impossible to gather all of their people.

Overall, the strength of the white-skinned people was superior to that of the black-skinned people, but the latter were more aggressive. They would frequently raid and steal goods before running off. As long as they avoided the connecting point, no one could stop them. Over the years, the white-skinned people had suffered a great deal. The chieftain understood this, but what could they do?

His previous question was just a venting of sorrow; such bouts of anger were quite common.

"Chieftain, we may have a way to resolve this issue." Soone spoke up at this mont— not Baobao, but Zhang Yu. He seed to have beco quite active since their arrival in this world.
