"Attack! They’re about to falter," yells a Quicksand soldier at the front, his dual blades swinging wildly.

The Quicksand soldiers behind are equally eager, charging forward without hesitation, but they are always blocked by the ones ahead and can’t break through. At the sight of the Sandpeople, who have no imdiate danger, they start to gather around.

Even if they don’t possess high levels, or aren’t formal quicksand soldiers, they are still eager to join in. After all, they’re following the prevailing wind.

Despite the prolonged battle, neither side has managed to cause a casualty yet. The unique quicksand defense of the quicksand soldiers can’t be easily broken down even by heavily-ard warriors. And let alone the fact that their combat power at level 4 is insufficient.

Their slow attack speed makes evasion an easy feat for the Quicksand soldiers.

Add to that being stuck in a swamp, they struggle even more due to their smaller physique. Unable to reach or chase their enemy, landing a hit is considered sheer luck in these circumstances.

However, the Quicksand soldiers are equally frustrated as their attacks pose no threat.

The quicksand can’t impact the enemy who are basically in a can of iron. Once the shield formation takes shape, it stands like a wall. No matter how much it’s attacked, the most damage one could inflict is leaving a few scratches on the shield.

As Quicksand soldiers, they despise this kind of purely defensive human legion the most.

"Those damned human armors. Without them, they would be dead. Strength should decide the battle," they complained.

"Damn it, those at the front still aren’t done? If not, let take over."

Quicksand soldiers gather, frustrated as they can’t reach the enemies at the back. Those at the front don’t want to step aside as it would be embarrassing. This led to the congested line-up.

But the iron armour which stands as a solid wall is impossible to break through, bringing despair.

"The armor and shield are too solid. I must claim a part of the war loot this ti. Once I get to wear this kind of armor, I’ll show humans our strength," one muttered.

"Shut up and keep attacking, they’re already poisoned. As long as we persist, they’ll be done soon. Haha, I’m sure I will be the first to kill a human," another responded.

While the Sandpeople are striving hard, they fail to realize that they have gradually been surrounded by a thick layer of mucus, especially where they stand.

Even though the swamp only reaches up to the shins, there’s no limit to the thickness of the mucus. With both combining, unbeknownst to many, the mucus has already reached the thighs of so Sandpeople. Given the Sandpeople’s towering stature over the average human, the change would be noticeable if not for their diverted attention.

"Ha, it’s finally ready. Now, let’s give them a taste. Xiaozi, charge out! Stay low, or else we’ll end up as roast pig," Du You commanded swiftly.

His magic power got significantly drained in order to cover the entire gathering place of the Sandpeople with mucus. In a short span, he had already consud 30% of it, an amount greater than a Mage’s entire magical power.

The flas in the Mucus Swamp are not an advanced level magic spell. If the levels are high enough, they can be resisted. However, the Sandpeople here mostly have diocre levels and aren’t creatures with strong resistance.

Waving his hand towards the back as he’s about to fly out of the Sandpeople’s gathering place, Du You released a red spell.

The Quicksand Priest coolly observed Du You as he retreated, not seeming to contemplate much. The aning behind the spell also didn’t occur to him.

However, the next mont, the spell hit a Sandperson, shackled by a fire snake, screaming in horror. He couldn’t move and was left to the rcy of the fire snake that scorched his skin.

A spark ignites, and the mucus on the ground is set ablaze. The flas spread extrely fast.

"Not good," the Quicksand Priest finally realized Du You’s intention. The mucus produced by his magic can ignite!

The mucus itself prevents Sandpeople from burrowing underground and if it ignites, it becos a fire attack. The Sandpeople aren’t proficient at defending against fire. He was correct to hide earlier.

But the idiots don’t listen and engage in a chaotic battle directly. Now they’re in trouble.

In the present scenario, Du You had already laid his trap, even if the Quicksand Priest realized, there was no way to prevent it.

The flas spread rapidly, the red light turned yellow in an instance, then began to shine brighter. From afar, a beam of white light rose from the ground.

While still in the air, Du You could feel the wave of heat rushing towards him, prompting Xiaozi to fly even faster.

In the previously chilly weather, it suddenly felt like midsumr. Du You could feel his skin burning in an instant. Despite Xiaozi’s speed, it couldn’t outpace the heatwave.

After quite a while, Xiaozi finally managed to get out of the heat zone. Glancing back, everything behind had turned into a sea of fire.

"Perfect, I’d like to see who can escape now," Du You clenched his fists. His badge recorded the whole process. His contribution was undeniably significant.

Although he was far from advancing to the next level, he had certainly got closer.

In the fire, the originally gathered place of the Sandpeople was burnt in an instant. The Sandpeople who couldn’t escape underground turned into ashes before they could even scream.

The imminent Holy Armor Legion, poisoned to death, were also incinerated by Du You’s fire.

Fortunately, this was not a real legion, just Summoned Creatures. Their destruction was not a cause for loss.

"That burned for a long ti," Du You exclaid. There was no other way. His mucus was thicker, covered a larger area, so it was justifiable that the burning ti was long.

The large fire burned for two minutes before it started easing. It finally extinguished after full ten minutes. By now, it seems the mucus had been completely burnt out. The fact that the fire, burning through such an easy-to-burn material, took this long was indicative.

The flas gradually weakened, revealing the charred edge of what used to be the Sandpeople’s gathering area. The land had turned into an expanse of black, not the black of fertile soil, but of scorching. Nothing could be planted on such land. Not to ntion, the area’s geology wasn’t that great. Maybe by next year, it will be completely covered by sand.

In such a huge fire, Du You was confident that no Sandperson would survive. But what surprised him was a large lump standing tall in the center of the fire.
