"These damn cowardly and timid Undead, how dare they mock our great Dragon Clan. We must make them pay." The dragons were furious; they had never been toyed with like this.
So ramshackle walls hastily thrown together with bones and a few ineffectual Undead had actually deceived them. It even made them so cautious and careful in their probing.
But in the end, everything before them was an illusion, perhaps the Undead had already fled long ago.
The dragons, whose intelligence was never stellar due to their lack of communication, were even less likely to notice other details in their anger. The city lord wanted to say sothing, but seeing the dragons’ deanor, he eventually chose to remain silent.
"Everyone follow in, we must catch those damned Undead and show them that our Dragon Clan is not to be deceived."
If a normal person heard this, they would definitely laugh out loud. On the battlefield, deception is unrestricted, and such trickery is perfectly normal. Who would be so brainless as to clash head-on?
Unless there was no other option, no one would give up on an easy thod.
A group of dragons soared into the sky, overwhelming the city as they flew towards it. What they needed to do was first completely destroy that city, then pursue the fleeing Undead. That’s right, in their eyes, those Undead surely ran away out of fear of them. The Dragon Clan is so great that their fear is quite normal.
After all, using the bones of the Dragon Clan to create Bone Dragons, they should understand how strong the Dragon Clan is.
A group of dragons flew into the air, spewing Dragon Breath and various spells downwards, turning the entire city into ruins in an instant. There was no way around it—this city was sothing Du You constructed temporarily, only a flimsy facade.
Though it looked formidable, it shattered upon contact, completely a paper tiger.
Part of the reason the Dragon Clan was so furious was because of this. They just hadn’t expected that the city was not built for delay, but was actually a trap.
The surface part on the ground was indeed weak, but the underground part was different.
Having long been hidden by a concealed Array, the underground parts were not sothing these dragons, lacking probing abilities, could perceive. As the dragons took to the air, Du You began to smile. He was watching from another city not too far away.
"Good, those lizards are all within the attack range, Dragon Slaying Cannons, fire."
At Du You’s command, the doppelgangers controlling the Dragon Slaying Cannons underground activated them. The raging dragons suddenly noticed a tremor in the ground, followed by nurous openings. Special gun barrels erged from below.
Suddenly, a loud bang, a cannon barrel exploded imdiately, a gray shadow flashed and disappeared.
"Not good, quickly dodge, it’s a trap." The dragon leader first sensed sothing amiss, but it was too late. The attack was too quick, and they were right within the attack range.
Almost simultaneously, all the cannon barrels exploded, leaving no choice.
The power of those flas was too strong; ordinary barrels simply couldn’t withstand it. To speed up the attack, the resulting destruction was even greater. Even though Du You had reinforced the barrels, they were still just single-use items.
But that didn’t matter. The shells were far more precious, single-use or not didn’t really matter. Du You never intended to attack a second ti, and these barrels were destroyed upon first use.
Even the surrounding doppelgangers were blasted away. If not for a bit of ability, those doppelgangers would have ended up sacrificed. But with such massive destructive power, the shells’ effect was no simple matter. Almost instantly, those gray spheres struck the dragons one by one. But unlike the dragons had thought, the spheres didn’t explode.
The sphere itself was a mass of gray fla, enveloping itself and then starting to burn.
At first, the dragons felt nothing unusual, but soon intense pain set in, as a chill spread through their bodies.
Their powers gathered to dispel the flas, only to find that it was like adding fuel to the fire, causing the flas to intensify rapidly. In no ti, it engulfed them completely; it was a fla of death.
"Damn Undead, I will make you pay," roared the Dragon Clan leader in fury.
There was nothing he could do, as even he was afflicted, a fiery fla burned on one of his claws.
But unlike the other dragons, the leader could feel the power of these flas, their nature and structure too profound to resist. Realizing his predicant swiftly, the Dragon Clan leader severed his own claw.
As a dragon, to so decisively mutilate oneself is not sothing just anyone can do.
But because of this, although the Dragon Clan leader was heavily wounded, he survived. Other afflicted dragons, however, were engulfed by the flas and couldn’t escape.
They fell to the ground one by one, reduced to re skeletons, their bodies consud by Undead fla, the scent of death filling the air, making them excellent materials for creating Undead.
Seeing this sight, the surviving dragons were even more enraged.
Looking around, this attack had cost them nearly half of their tier 8 fighters. This was even without facing any of the enemy’s stronger forces yet. How would they continue like this? These dragons were now thinking of escape.
No, they had to escape; they couldn’t continue like this. Severely depleted, returning to lick their wounds was their chance of survival. If they kept losing, the condition of the Giant Dragon Clan would beco perilous.
The Giant Dragon Clan was full of treasures; no one would leave such an opportunity unseized.
Unfortunately, by the ti they wanted to flee, it was too late. The surrounding hills suddenly erupted; inside what were thought to be empty hills erged one powerful tier 8 Undead Creature after another.
These were all prepared by Du You in advance, making this indeed the battlefield for their duel.
But the powerful concealnt Magic Array surrounding these Undead Creatures ant the Dragon Clan couldn’t perceive them. Long periods of complacency, even cautious, led to many oversights.
When a City of the Dead drew their attention, the dragons didn’t keep an eye on the surroundings.
"We’ve been surrounded, what do we do now chief?" The dragons were panicking at this mont.
"Look for a chance to leave, we can’t all be lost here. The future of the Dragon Clan is up to you." At this mont, resolve flashed in the Dragon Clan leader’s eyes.
