The news spread very quickly, and such an occurrence wasn’t limited to just one place. In fact, many cities across various regions faced the sa situation, where many guilds were suddenly attacked and destroyed by surrounding forces on this day.
Moreover, these guilds weren’t ordinary ones; even the weakest among them had tier seven experts.
The forces that were annihilated shared a common trait: they all had worlds under their control. So were top-tier guilds, while others had unrelated worlds under their command. No one mind these worlds.
It seed that overnight, the entire world underwent a massive change.
Many people discovered that after waking up, the environnt around them had changed.
At this mont, it was the ordinary people who were the happiest, because they knew that in cities controlled by the Shadow Guild, they could cultivate. As long as they reached a certain level, they would be given ti to rest.
At least they wouldn’t be exhausted to death like before, and could live a relatively normal life.
However, the remaining mbers of those guilds found themselves in constant fear, unsure of what to do. If they surrendered imdiately, they worried whether they would be accepted, and whether their reputation would be affected.
On the other hand, if they continued to resist, they clearly understood they would have no way out.
So began to draw others in, either preparing to surrender or negotiating terms with the opposition.
There were also those who had already left their cities overnight, fleeing to more distant places. They refused to join the forces that had fought their previous guild, regardless of the opposing strength.
So of these people joined other major forces in different cities, while others beca ordinary adventurers, those without the backing of a powerful force. Among these ordinary adventurers, there were indeed strong individuals, but they were exceedingly rare.
It didn’t take long before this matter reached the ears of the upper class. After all, it couldn’t be concealed.
"Is everyone here?" The upper class of various major forces gathered together again.
"Those who haven’t co are dead; everyone who is still alive is here."
Soone glanced around the room, speaking with indignation. These were the people who had initially united to trouble the Shadow Guild from behind. Their plan succeeded upon witnessing the Shadow Guild’s split.
However, none of them could have anticipated that the fragnted Shadow Guild would suddenly expand outward. Although it was to deal with other branches, the expansion was too sudden.
As a result, the guilds that had united to fight against them suffered, and only a third of them ca this ti, aning two-thirds of the forces were destroyed. This doesn’t even account for non-allied guilds, since the expanded guild range wasn’t solely targeting them, otherwise they would have realized sothing was wrong.
This dispersed Shadow Guild had incredibly destructive power, leaving everyone speechless.
"What should we do now, attack them directly?" Soone asked.
"We might not be able to compete with them. Their current display of power is completely different from last ti. It’s uncertain if they deliberately concealed their strength or acquired new powers."
"It shouldn’t be newly acquired; no thod can make experts appear so quickly." Soone interjected.
"Then what’s going on? These experts truly exist, and we’ve never heard of them before."
The recent speaker said, "There are only two possible reasons. First, these people were always their experts but hadn’t erged before. After the split, everyone drew them in, hence their appearance."
Everyone nodded, acknowledging the possibility, which seed highly plausible.
"What’s the second possibility?" The previous person asked again.
"The second possibility is that these experts hail from other cities. This world is vast, and we don’t get intelligence from many places. If they co from cities far from us, there might be strong individuals."
Everyone understood; he ant the Shadow Guild likely collaborated with other cities, enabling such rapid expansion. Realistically, they couldn’t access tily information, knowing only nearby occurrences, leaving them helpless for distant ones.
Due to opposing relations among major cities, they mutually blocked each other’s information, making it challenging to obtain intelligence from one another.
"Alright, no need to dwell on that anymore. Now, the question is, what should we do? If those guys expand again, we might get involved. And you, do you not have any inside information?"
Everyone looked at the culprit behind the Shadow Guild’s split.
This person spoke with equal helplessness, "No, none at all. This damned guild’s style is entirely different from ours. We announce matters in advance, allowing preparation, while they give no prep ti to their mbers, issuing imdiate orders and taking action."
"This ti is no different. After entering, they imdiately commanded attacks on other guilds, having even prepared spatial passages. Their focus seems more on soldiers created by the Outer World rather than guild mbers."
Such an odd existence left him speechless too. Generally, only small forces operated this way, requiring major guilds to have a strategy.
Moreover, a guild’s core should be its adventurers, treating soldiers as main assets makes no sense.
Now everyone believes the Shadow Guild, being newly established, lacks experience. This random developnt, typical of small organizations, holds excessive uncertainty.
Such forces are indeed hard to develop, yet no one knows their thoughts or upcoming plans. Especially given their mastery of powerful forces, it gets even more problematic.
"I think we must curb them; next ti, let’s directly attack them."
"But I’m afraid we simply aren’t strong enough." Soone imdiately opposed.
"Not only they can ally with other cities; so can we. Let’s contact other cities; they understand the shared fate analogy. If we let those lunatics develop further, after our demise, it’s their turn next."
