"The attack speed is so fast. Is this really of the Earth attribute?" Du You felt that once the opponent launched an attack, he had no chance of dodging, not because he couldn’t react in ti, but because his physical speed couldn’t keep up.

Even when he tried to hide, the Heavy Rock Beast still managed to react and attack him any ti he showed himself, its attack speed much faster than his own. He had already withdrawn Xiaozi. He could withstand the attacks, but Xiaozi couldn’t. Du You had helped Xiaozi block two attacks before pulling him back. If he didn’t manage to block even one attack, Xiaozi would be gone.
"I’ve attacked every external surface and found no weaknesses. So, the only places left to attack are internal. I refuse to believe that its internals are as strong."
Du You took a deep breath, his eyes fixed on his adversary.
If it were magic resistance, a creature’s internal and external resistance wouldn’t differ significantly. If the external magic resistance were high, the internal resistance wouldn’t be much lower. But, physical resistance was another story.
Nearly all creatures had very high physical resistance on the body surface but were incredibly fragile internally, this was due to their biological structure. Hopefully, this turtle was the sa.
Du You kept his eyes on the turtle, waiting for it to swallow earth and rocks again before aiming at him.
"Now it’s ti." Suddenly, Du You took out his Giant Beast Hunter’s Spear and threw it towards the Heavy Rock Beast’s mouth. At that mont the Beast had opened its mouth and was aiming at Du You, a flicker of grey light approaching him.
The next mont, the Shield Spell in front of Du You lit up, the heavy stone spear slamd into the shield causing it to retreat. If he were holding this spear with his hands instead of using magic, he would’ve probably been shaken to his core by now.
Despite quick attack execution, the Heavy Rock Beast’s reactions were not as agile.
After several observations, Du You found that the spear grazed the edge of the grey light—this was the rule he had figured out. It did not collide directly with the stone spear but veered slightly off target, yet still aiming for the Heavy Rock Beast’s mouth. Empowered by the special force bestowed by Spear Mountain, the spear was not thrown by Du You but rather propelled on its own.
Before the Heavy Rock Beast had a chance to close its mouth after the attack, a spear struck its oral cavity.
"Just as I thought." Du You clenched his fists and swung them around in celebration.
As the spear penetrated the Heavy Rock Beast’s mouth, the usually calm Heavy Rock Beast suddenly showed signs of struggle. It lay on the ground, continuously slapping its own head, shaking its body as if in severe pain.
Du You clearly saw his spear successfully pierce the Heavy Rock Beast’s mouth. Instead of going straight in, it had lodged upward from inside the mouth.
The beast’s huge body finally demonstrated a flaw. The whole spear had plunged into its mouth, and its huge claws couldn’t reach it. All it could do was scratch at its own mouth incessantly.
But no matter how hard it tried, it couldn’t dislodge the object from its mouth.
After a short while, bright red blood began to flow from the Heavy Rock Beast’s mouth like a broken dam that couldn’t be stopped.
Du You had hidden himself as soon as his attack was successful, refusing to engage the Heavy Rock Beast face-to-face. The Heavy Rock Beast couldn’t even find a target to vent its anger.
Continuing to swallow earth and rocks would cause the spear inside its mouth to penetrate even deeper, leading to more severe injuries. With Du You—the main culprit—nowhere to be seen, the Heavy Rock Beast stopped its attack for the mont.
"Thank goodness it worked. If it hadn’t I’m afraid I would have to give up this mission."
Hidden behind rock, Du You exhaled a deep sigh of relief.
You’ve put forth so much effort for this task. From the start of the mission, you faced constant danger yet gained nothing. If you were to give up now, it would break your heart.
Furthermore, you’ve co this far, there’s no turning back. If you can’t move forward, you can only stay in this ravine, unable to advance or retreat. If that were the case, your purpose of entering the World of Giant Beasts would be unfulfilled. At that point, your only option would be to leave this world and start over.
With the university entrance examination drawing closer in about a month, Du You didn’t want to waste any more ti.
There were so many people and significant existences in the world. Without hard work, how could you compete with them? Du You didn’t want to be bullied as if he was a weakling once he entered the school.
Over on Du You’s side, the wait continued while the Heavy Rock Beast continued struggling on the other side. However, as ti went by, the Heavy Rock Beast’s struggles beca slower and weaker.
About two hours later, the Heavy Rock Beast finally stopped moving. "It took such a long ti for the blood to stop flowing. A large body size does have its benefits."
Du You cautiously peeked out from ti to ti. After such a long ti, he finally confird that the turtle’s blood had dried up. Killing it with this thod was unsatisfying, to say the least.
But that impregnable defense was really sothing. At his current level, Du You couldn’t break its defense no matter how he attacked. What else could be said?
Du You carefully threw a stone for a trial, but the turtle didn’t react. Then he cast the Fire Snake Curse, the Disintegration Spell, but there was still no reaction. Likewise, the attacks had no effect.
Gradually, Du You put the Disintegration Spell on the turtle’s head, attacking it over and over again until there were cracks in the head. Yet there was still no reaction.
"Looks like it must be dead. If it were alive, the magic resistance would be higher, and it wouldn’t crack so quickly. Also, if it were still alive, it wouldn’t fail to react to such a fatal injury."
Only when he confird this did Du You relax and walked towards the turtle. "You’ve had it tough too. Who knows how long you’ve lived to grow this big. Why did you have to block my path?" It seed that Du You had forgotten the fact that he had been the one to wake the Beast.
