Although the chaotic battle zone severed conventional communication, the link between Du You and his Summoned Beasts was anything but conventional. He had known about the ambush since those people first ca to attack him.
After receiving the information, Du You had commanded the Lich King to take control of the Undead and then prepared for confronting the Land of Chaos.
Of course, the preparation ti was not a matter of just one or two days. With the Lich King overseeing those matters, there was no need for him to bother. Yet, another troubling issue had now erged before him.
No, it was more accurate to say it was sothing Du You had long been looking forward to. As he passed through a gorge, suddenly many powerful presences appeared around him; he was actually being ambushed. For a tier-six powerhouse, conventional terrain held little significance. The reason he was here was simply out of habit.
As long as one could conceal oneself well, they remained undetected. It was just that Du You didn’t know what thod they had used to hide, as even his own Spiritual Perception had failed to notice them, even though his Spiritual Perception was only at level 50.
"Master, they are coming. There are over three hundred tier-six individuals," reported the scout.
Du You smiled, "Are they looking down on us? But this is good; let them see our true strength."
In reality, being able to summon three hundred tier-six Demons at once was already no small feat. It was just that Du You had always kept his subordinates’ aura hidden, so the opponents had not detected that he had brought four hundred Zombie Dragons, plus one hundred Ghost Dragons. The number of tier-six powerhouses under Du You’s command amounted to a staggering five hundred.
Their individual strength might be weaker than the Demons, but they were an army, and once they coordinated and ford a Military Formation, the strength they could unleash was far beyond comparison to that of an individual.
From the discovery of those Demons, ti had passed very quickly, and in what seed like the blink of an eye, they had made contact. From a distance, the Zombie Dragons spewed their poisonous Dragon Breath, while the Demons utilized various techniques.
In the Void, the fluctuations of energy shockwaves continued to spread, and in one encounter, the canyon below transford into a basin.
"Indeed, every tier-six being is like a living nuclear weapon," Du You sighed internally at this destructive power. There was a ti when such powerhouses were sothing he had to look up to, sothing he dared not even dream of challenging.
However, although he thought this, Du You did not show courtesy. Noticing an odd Demon that seed to be made of liquid approaching, Du You waved his hand, releasing an Energy Gathering Magic Cannon.
The creature, entangled by a Zombie Dragon, sensed danger and quickly condensed its form, shrinking its body significantly.
Despite that, the Energy Gathering Magic Cannon’s power was too great and blasted a huge hole right through the creature. The Demon vibrated for a mont as the wound healed, but its body beca much paler than before.
"What is this, it won’t die?" Du You’s eyes narrowed. He had neither seen nor heard of such a Demon.
However, before Du You needed to act again, the Zombie Dragon suddenly opened its mouth and swallowed the Demon whole. The Zombie Dragon’s body then began to develop blisters, bursting into clumps of dense fluid.
After a few seconds, the Zombie Dragon, much weakened, finally cald down, and it was obvious that the Demon had been exterminated.
"Forget it, I should pick so easier targets to deal with," Du You surveyed his surroundings, selecting his targets. Since he had a significant number of minions, the Demons were unable to approach him.
From ti to ti, Du You would find a target, then a shot from the Energy Gathering Magic Cannon would swiftly kill these Demons. Even if they were all tier-six, as long as they had not reached mid-tier-six, Du You had a chance to instantly kill them.
On the other front, the two sisters were far stronger than he was. Although their presence was concealed, the Demon Extermination Power within them was not just for show. Ever since the battle had begun, the Ghost Dragons had gone into hiding. When the battle was underway, Du You quietly had the Ghost Dragons flank the enemy from behind, and then executed a pincer attack.
In an instant, Du You went from being the ambushed to the ambusher. Caught off guard, quite a few Demons were injured. The two sisters, concealed within the belly of the Ghost Dragons, stealthily shot out arrows.
One after another, inconspicuously launched arrows struck, swiftly killing two rather common looking Charm Demons and winged Demons. As the battle continued, the two sisters’ arrows flew relentlessly, and after killing a few Demons, they rapidly increased their killing speed.
Du You’s eyes brightened; he knew the sisters had likely grown stronger. He could feel it.
Opening the panel, sure enough, it matched his guess; their bloodline tier advanced from tier-five to tier-six.
Their inherent strength surged, and just their basic abilities alone doubled. Although individually he felt they might still not match him one-on-one, the increase in their power was substantial.
Du You, harnessing the refined Energy Gathering Magic Cannon, continued to seek out the easier-to-kill Demons.
Gradually, the Demons realized sothing was amiss. "Damn it, who provided this intel? Why didn’t they say there were so many tier-six Undead here?" a furious Demon scread out loud.
But before that, so Demons had already attempted to flee. No, it would be more accurate to say so had already run far away.
These creatures, with their capacity for thought, were very afraid of death, which contrasted starkly with the Undead. They were formidable in a favorable situation, but now they ran faster than anyone else in the face of defeat.
Accordingly, the battle that started quickly ended even faster. In less than twenty minutes, Du You could only watch helplessly as the Demons fled. Out of the three hundred-plus Demons that ca, probably, less than one hundred and fifty had been killed by him and his forces, as the enemy responded too quickly. To not just annihilate them but to leave even that many behind was quite an achievent.
"There are powerful adversaries among them. If they hadn’t fled in such a hurry, they could have posed a great threat to us," Lin Yucha observed.
Hearing Lin Yucha’s words, Du You nodded, then turned his gaze to his own Undead. The Undead he brought had not been without loss; initially ambushed, and then entangled afterward, more than eighty Zombie Dragons had perished.
This was because they ford Military Formations to assist each other in defense; otherwise, the losses would have been greater. Now, the injured were everywhere, and the Ghost Dragons, which launched the surprise attack later, lost twenty of their number.
Summing up, he had lost a hundred tier-six Undead on his side, not to ntion, Du You didn’t even bother to count how much lower-tier had been lost.
