At the Fuyuki Grand Hotel,
Mordred’s cheeks were flushed with excitent. "As expected of Naless! Did you see that? He took down an enemy even more terrifying than Zeus, the King of Gods!"
The stronger he proved to be, the prouder she felt.
But that pride only made her grit her teeth harder.
That bastard still hadn’t co to see her even once—how infuriating!
"Hmph, nothing special!" Gawain replied sourly.
Blessed by the gods, slaying the strongest boss—such a feat surpassed even the greatest achievents of the Knights of the Round Table.
After the video’s release, countless people were singing his praises.
His fanbase had skyrocketed in an instant, reaching the very top, on the verge of claiming the number one spot!
Given a little more ti, the so-called "Naless" would beco the world’s most "famous"!
Was this part of your plan too, Alaya?
The more Gawain thought about it, the more bitter he felt.
Originally, Naless had faded into obscurity, but Alaya had forcefully dragged him back into the spotlight by exposing those videos.
Now he understood.
Alaya was the ultimate Naless fan—clearly trying to collect every possible version of him.
Spoiled! Absolutely spoiled rotten!
Once the video ended and the progress bar could finally be scrubbed, Mordred eagerly dragged it back. "Look, he’s the real Sun Knight!"
The scene showed Naless receiving Apollo’s blessing—
"By the na of Apollo, I grant you invincibility under the sun!"
From that mont on, as long as Naless stood beneath the sun, he would be empowered by its radiance.
His wounds would heal rapidly, his combat prowess would multiply—no less formidable than Gawain himself!
"Damn you, Naless! Even stealing my title as the Sun Knight!" Gawain gnashed his teeth harder.
After the video concluded, debates erupted everywhere over who truly deserved the title of Sun Knight.
Blessed by the sun god Apollo, capable of projecting the Sun Holy Sword, and having once defeated him—clearly, Naless was more suited to be the Sun Knight than Gawain himself.
What a nightmare!
For a mont, Gawain was at a loss for words—
Damn it, have I really beco the replacent?
"Hahaha, you’re actually about to lose your title as the Sun Knight!"
Mordred laughed even harder.
She even raised both hands, tilted her head back, and spread her legs, mimicking Apollo’s signature pose—
[Praise the Sun!]
"..."
Gawain felt a vein throb on his forehead.
Truly the most infamous brat in Britain—so infuriatingly punchable!
Unable to hold back, he asked, "So, do you know where Naless is?"
"Hmph, how would I know? But I’ll find him one day!" Mordred’s grin vanished, replaced by gritted teeth.
Once she found him, she’d run him through with her sword first!
Gawain didn’t hesitate to twist the knife: "Heh, I bet our King is sitting at the dinner table with Naless right now—just not with you!"
"Enough out of you, you potato-headed idiot!" Mordred drew her Clarent.
This guy was too much of a loser to deserve being the Sun Knight—better to let Naless have it!
Not like Naless didn’t already have a dozen titles anyway—what was one more?
"Whatever, I’m not in the mood for this. I’m going to see the King."
Gawain scoffed.
This back-and-forth was just them reopening each other’s wounds—neither would co out on top.
When he arrived at King Arthur’s chambers, he knocked but received no response.
"The King isn’t here?"
Focusing, he sensed no trace of her presence in the room.
Co to think of it, the King had been spending less ti with them lately, acting more mysterious than usual.
Given her pride and dominance, there was only one person she’d deign to et regularly.
So, eliminating all impossibilities, the only remaining explanation—no matter how unlikely—had to be the truth.
Damn, had the King really found Naless?
Gawain’s emotions churned.
He’d only been mocking Mordred out of spite earlier—had he actually predicted the future?
Was he so kind of prophet now?
...
Modern Greece.
Atalanta couldn’t help but chuckle. "So, little princess, not only did Naless conquer you outright, but you even wanted to hand him your entire kingdom?"
Earlier, she’d arrogantly declared that soone as proud as her could never be conquered—
Hmm, why did that sound so familiar?
"..."
dea fell silent.
After witnessing those scenes, any explanation would have sounded hollow.
In truth, after watching the video, her mories had fully returned—she now understood why she’d beco the infamous Witch of Betrayal.
The children all looked up at her cautiously.
To them, the aura she exuded was overwhelming.
The two had made a bet while watching.
If Atalanta hadn’t been conquered by Naless, dea would willingly teach all the children for free.
But if she had been conquered, the conditions would double!
In retaliation, Atalanta had also wagered that dea had confessed to Naless, only to be rejected—leading to her transformation into the treacherous witch of legend.
Once the prediction ca true, dea would have to remain pure alongside her, never marrying for life!
And indeed, the other’s prophecy was fulfilled!
In the video, dea was completely won over by the other party.
Then, after slaying the demonic dragon, Naless refused to leave with her.
Faced with this rejection, dea sought out her aunt Circe.
From then on, the once innocent little princess fully embraced the path of becoming a true and terrifying witch under her guidance!
This was utterly mortifying!
dea felt as though all her earlier confident declarations were now slapping her in the face, one after another.
The couppance had arrived far too quickly!
All the children were now watching her cautiously, their expressions turning exceedingly peculiar.
This only deepened dea’s regret.
She really shouldn’t have said those things earlier!
Now, when she beca these children’s magic instructor in the future, all her authority would be lost!
However, as she continued watching...
During the footrace, Naless bound another competitor with the Chains of Heaven.
The two faced off fairly.
Naless effortlessly outran Atalanta, the most skilled runner, yet still refused to take her away!
dea instantly perked up: "Hmph, didn’t you swear to Artemis to remain a pure virgin forever? Why would you want to marry him?"
"I..."
Atalanta was montarily left speechless.
She had to admit.
At that mont, her heart had truly been moved.
Had Naless nodded, she would have willingly broken her vow to the gods and endured divine punishnt just to stay with him forever.
Alas, she had been too weak back then.
Atalanta had never truly made up her mind to follow him and leave.
After watching the video, Atalanta finally understood why she had to open a children’s rescue center.
It wasn’t just about helping suffering children, sparing them the loneliness and helplessness she had endured when abandoned as a child.
Most importantly, this was what Naless had once told her.
He said that in the future, though people might no longer starve, many children would still be cruelly abandoned.
By then, she could establish a grand academy to help all those children.
Naless had even promised that if he had ti, he would co to the academy to help take care of the kids.
But alas—she had completely forgotten about him!
Atalanta stared intently at him. "So, how should we settle our previous bet?"
A mutual-destruction bet—neither of them had won!
"Ahem, I think... let’s keep the bet active for now!" dea’s cheeks flushed slightly.
In myths, she was portrayed as a cruel witch, but in truth, she was a pure maiden.
If Naless were willing to marry her, she would gladly abandon her thousand-year-old title of the Eternal Maiden.
The problem was, they still hadn’t found Naless yet.
For now, it was better to focus on improving her own strength.
After all, too many heroic spirits wanted to claim Naless for themselves.
Qin Shi Huang, King Arthur, the Dark Saintess... each of these rivals was stronger than the last!
"Very well, then here’s to our cooperation!"
Atalanta extended her hand for a handshake.
Double the price ant nothing to her.
As a heroic spirit, she had beco the global ambassador for children’s rescue.
Countless kind-hearted people from around the world sent gifts and donations, more than enough to cover the exorbitant cost of hiring dea.
This was the cause Atalanta had promised Naless.
So, she would carry it out faithfully.
But after seeing even Artemis, the Moon Goddess, trying to snatch Naless away, Atalanta no longer felt any hesitation.
Wherever he went, even to the ends of the earth or the depths of the sea—even if it cost her frail body, she would follow him all the way to the gates of the Underworld!!!
anwhile.
Across the ocean, in the Land of the Free.
Inside the grand and opulent congressional hall, all the senators were watching the video.
Especially when they saw the Olympian gods acting just as arrogantly as they had imagined—treating humans as playthings and Naless as a re pawn—each of them broke into smiles.
Perfect!
This was more like it!
The gods should be lofty and disdainful of mortals.
Naless would inevitably clash with the gods, embarking on his own path of deicide.
That way, once the video ended, they—as the sole inheritors of the Olympian gods—could surely steal the gods’ even greater power.
However, after Naless completed the Trial of the Golden Fleece, everything took a shocking turn.
Athena smiled warmly at Naless and declared—
"Now, begin your divine trial! You shall gather the power of the gods and beco a god-blessed hero who surpasses them all!"
Every senator in the room widened their eyes in disbelief.
What happened to the deicide route?
What happened to the aloof gods?
And what the hell was up with Artemis acting like a lovestruck maiden?!
The senators stared blankly at the screen, wondering if they were hallucinating.
By the ti the video ended, an eerie silence had fallen over the congressional hall.
All the council mbers looked shocked, unable to accept the results of the latest exposure video.
After a long silence.
Councilor Jess, inheritor of the [Sun God] cha, couldn’t help but speak up: "Why? Why does this guy receive the favor of the Greek gods?"
He couldn’t accept this terrifying truth.
That guy had always been hostile toward deities.
Every desperate battle he fought was aid at severing the connection between humans and gods, driving every last deity from the mortal world.
Yet in this "Olympian Gods" video, he was actually basking in divine favor!
Through trial after trial, he successfully gathered blessings from all twelve chief gods, becoming the ultimate divine champion surpassing even the gods themselves!
So now, after they had seized divine relics and proclaid themselves the rightful heirs of the Olympian gods while targeting Naless—when the true Greek gods descend, would they instead beco enemies of the gods?
