Susanoo had always been a god who sought nothing but his own excitent. He was well known among the Kami as a self-centered being. He craved strong opponents to satisfy his bloodlust and often provoked massive battles in the Heavenly Realm, challenging any Kami he deed worthy to fight nearly to the death. He would then walk away disappointed after realizing they lacked the true spirit of combat.
Truth be told, few Kami enjoyed the thrill of battle as much as Susanoo, who was often considered completely insane. His obsession with the sword reached illogical extres. Because of his imnse strength and his status as Amaterasu's beloved brother, most of his transgressions were overlooked by her. She preferred to let him roam freely rather than deal with his antics.
She had tried to re-educate him many tis, but it was futile. Susanoo was a god utterly devoted to swordsmanship. Originally born as the God of Thunderstorms, representing weather and the skies, few could ever stand against him.
However, Susanoo's life changed one day when he fought a mortal eons ago—a man wielding a "stick made of tal" that moved unlike anything Susanoo had ever witnessed. In that fight, Susanoo reduced his strength to mortal levels to test the stranger. For the first ti, he was defeated.
Even limited to mortal power, he could split the ground with kicks and shake mountains with fists. Yet this mortal, with no supernatural strength, wielded what he called a "sword" with such majesty and skill that it carried far greater power than his body suggested.
From that day forward, Susanoo began his pilgrimage to master the sword, following in the footsteps of this naless mortal. He and his master wandered across Asia, battling Yokai, Demons, Cultivators, and Sorcerers of all kinds. With every fight, his master honed his blade skills, continuously evolving.
Susanoo relinquished his throne in heaven and followed this man with deep admiration—the first person to ever defeat him in a fair fight.
However, unlike Gods, humans had finite lifespans. At the age of 95, the old sword master passed away, surrounded by his many disciples in his dojo.
"Why must you mortals die?" Susanoo shed tears for another person for the first ti, weeping over his master's impending death. "Stay with us, great master!"
"…Susanoo, from the beginning you've always been different. As I thought, you are not human, are you?" his old master murmured on his deathbed. "You never aged, and your energy never faded… Hahah… it is an honor to have spent my years with a god as my disciple… Please continue the Path of the Sword and forge your Sword Heart through every experience… Don't forget, Susanoo… never forget your path."
His master handed Susanoo his old, rusty sword. With trembling hands, Susanoo watched him pass away with a calm smile, having ascended to Buddhahood after achieving enlightennt through the blade.
In his grasp, the sword transford, absorbing Susanoo's Divinity and fusing with the Old Master's Legacy. It beca a Legendary Blade of White Thunder—Susanoo's Katana.
Thousands of years have passed since then.
Susanoo gripped his sword tightly as he danced against Kireina's swordsmanship. She was soone who had surprised him in millennia—an era where true swordsn had nearly vanished. More than that, she had astonished him by imitating a fragnt of his own swordsmanship, born from his long history.
It was only a small piece; a sliver of divinity infused into a strike he had used against a Witch who tried to harm the very children now punished for bringing a so-called "Chaos Spawn" here.
"I see!" Susanoo smiled. Thunder roared above as rain poured down, drenching his muscular, lean body. His long silvery-white hair, tied in a ponytail shaped like a thunderbolt, whipped in the fierce winds. His shimring golden eyes pierced through Kireina's Heart. "That Fragnt of my Power you wield is the strike I used to fell that Witch, even when her true body wasn't before ."
Kireina's eyes widened. She realized nothing could be hidden from the swordsman god. With a bitter smile, she nodded. "That's right, Lord Susanoo. I suppose there's nothing I can conceal from your sharp eyes. dea was in great pain, so I used my power to devour the attack you inflicted on her soul, absorbing its essence and making it my own."
"So you are indeed one of those Chaos spawns," Susanoo said. "Unbelievable. How have you mastered the sword so well?"
"I didn't rely copy it from you. I've pondered not just the sword but Martial Arts as a whole," Kireina replied. "After fighting for my life countless tis, I've continued to grow. My powers don't co from martial arts alone, but I've rged them together."
"How amusing!" Susanoo laughed.
Their swords clashed relentlessly. Explosions of powerful Ki erupted with each exchange. The weather above intensified—rain, thunder, and storms ravaged the Amaterasu Clan's territory under the watchful eyes of Amaterasu, Tsukuyomi, and the other Kami.
Susanoo had chosen Kireina as his opponent and would allow no one to kill her before him. Yet he wasn't rely testing her strength. With every strike, he read her heart and glimpsed her past. Each revelation surprised him further.
CLAAASH!
As their blades t, Kireina unleashed Sealing Heavens repeatedly through her Infinite Heavens Sword, combining its potency with the fragnts of Susanoo's Skill. She struck dozens of tis, each blow capable of montarily reducing an opponent's power. Stacked hundreds of tis, it barely kept her alive against Susanoo's casual attacks.
Susanoo grew more intense. His Aura surged. White thunder transford into countless swords. Each attack carried history and enlightennt at a level Kireina had never encountered. Every clash went beyond re steel—they embodied aning and the purest essence of the Heavenly Dao, deepening her understanding of the Sword and the Sword Heart.
Her grasp of the Third Stage of Martial Arts evolved rapidly. She was only a few blows from reaching the Fourth Stage, but without pouring her soul into it, she would achieve nothing.
"Lord Susanoo, I cannot die here! I have a family I love and must return to!"
"And I have a family here I cannot disappoint!"
"Then let us settle everything in this next exchange!"
"Yes, let's make it more intense."
Susanoo and Kireina smiled at one another. The watching Kami gasped in awe. Kireina sensed two faint, familiar presences—two of her beloved wives observing from afar. She had warned them to stay hidden; discovery would be disastrous.
Kireina focused on her battle while Kaguya, the Blazing Squirrel Princess, and her two brothers, Kuraen and Yamiyo, watched from above beside their father, one of Amaterasu's siblings.
Though Amaterasu had Susanoo and Tsukuyomi as her most prominent younger siblings—known as the "Three Precious Children" in Shinto mythology—many other siblings had been born from the Heavenly Realm, where stories and myths gathered and materialized into pure Essence of Creation at a high Cosmic Level.
