"It makes sense that he choose such a decision… that world has its own strange rules, whole organizations underground, and much more background than we ever imagined… I had thought at first that it would be nowhere as complex as Genesis is, but I was greatly mistaken."
"He had great judgent at the ti," Brontes nodded. "But I am like you, Kireina, I might have also been overco by rage and chased him… He's indeed soone worthy of being your father."
"Yeah, we want to learn more about him honestly~" Nesiphae nodded cutely. "Can't we go there already?"
"I think now that I beat the trinity he'll let bring you," I said. "He still wants to "test you" before you join. After all the Chaos Gate is a big organization and stuff… not sothing that can be taken lightly at all. And there's all the tension it has against the Amaterasu Clan and then the Werewolves and the Vampires."
"Huh, so they got bloodsuckers over there too…" Redgaria rolled his eyes. "Great…"
"Werewolves! How interesting," Wagyu said.
"Yeah, I would like to et them," Kekensha nodded.
"Amaterasu Clan…?" Nanako wondered. "So you're saying that there's a goddess of the sun called Amaterasu over there, Kireina-sama? The sa as… the one from Genesis?"
"Yes," I nodded. "I don't really know what's going on over there though but, yeah… Earth is where a lot of Myths and Legends co from. A lot of their gods sohow also existed in Genesis, and I believe it's because they're all connected through the Root and its Records. It all cos down to the Fragnts of the Primordial World. And how Genesis is a big part of it… and probably the many Parallel Earths carry one piece, or perhaps a mirror of them."
"It's confusing… but you're saying that things like Zeus or Amaterasu's existence was sothing from the Primordial World…?" Charlotte suddenly asked, she had been mostly silent the entire ti while she took care of Electra.
"Yes, dear," I nodded. "But it's just an hypothesis at the end of the day, there's so much else we have to find out first… it's confusing and tireso to an extent. But we'll get through this, I just have to keep persevering."
"…Um, mother," suddenly, Aarae spoke.
"Yes honey?" I wondered, looking at her.
Her belly was big; she might end up giving birth soon…
I already have another grandson on that island though, but this is nice nonetheless!
"Have you not thought about… quitting already?" Aarae sighed.
"Huh?" I tilted my head. "What… do you an?"
"You know what I'm talking about… we've been through this for so long, and things only get more and more complicated… more chaotic," Aarae sighed. "The more I think about all these things, the more my head hurts… Is it really necessary for you to push yourself so far now? Aren't you tired? Don't you need to rest, mother? I am worried… about your ntal health, about how you feel deep down… you're the one that faces the most challenges, you're the one that always is pushing herself so much… I… is it really all worth it? Can't you just… once you rescue the ones missing… settle down here? With us? No longer fight…? Just… just be with all of us and live happily?"
"A-Aarae…"
I was left speechless with her words, and the more I thought about it, the more it made sense to .
Was it really worth it to push myself this hard?
So many threats, so many things to worry, so many thing to do all the ti…
My mind is indeed slowly being worn down.
I…
Why am I fighting again?
There's…
No, there's several goals.
But even then…
Are they worth all the trouble, all the horrors, all the pain?
Is the path I'm talking about the correct one after so many divergences?
I wonder this more and more as I keep fighting on for so many years now...
"You're not wrong, dear…" I nodded with a gentle smile. "I have considered many tis to just quit and rest… but I can't. There's still a lot I need to do. Saving everyone trapped in that world, then Frank as well, and then those within that frozen moon connected to the dungeon. And unfortunately, there's also threats constantly targeting us. I cannot quit… because it wouldn't ant just my death, it would an… everyone here would also die."
"…" Aarae remained in silence, gritting her teeth. "But mom, we can run away! You have the power! We could escape to the confines of the universe, or reality! To a safe zone… sowhere, where we can-"
"No, I won't run away," I said with a smile. "I want to, but I won't… I cannot. My sisters, the true origins of my soul… the Usurpers of Destiny that are actually not only hunting for Primordial World Fragnts but want back to my "older self" no matter what, will never stop chasing . We must not only tackle these things, these small problems, but also build up towards a way for us to face them, and whatever they're doing."
"I see…" Aarae sighed. "I'm sorry mom, I didn't know… I spoke too soon and too foolishly. I'm just an ignorant…"
"Oh no dear, it's alright, I'm so happy you worried so much about ," I said happily. "I'll take a break right now. I'll stay for so ti without going outside, just a simple ti dilation and I can take a real sumr break without actually doing sothing else in the sides."
"Really? That's nice!" Aarae smiled happily. "I want you to relax, to enjoy your life… I know so many things will happen soon but… I want you to be ready both physically and ntally, mother."
"I know dear, thank you so much for worrying like that about , it ans a lot," I said, shedding a little tear. "I really raised you into a wonderful person… I'm so proud of you."
"Aw…" Aarae blushed cutely. "Heheh…"
