Mount Takao was a place the Chaos Gate had been investigating for so ti, it seems we like to target areas with rich amounts of Mana and other Energies, specially Corrupted Domains where corrupted or dark energies have distorted space and created a domain where Yokai spawn like there's no tomorrow, usually their interior takes the shape of whatever was made over, with so changes. For example, an abandoned house would beco huge and a labyrinth inside.
Sotis a forest would beco a dark forest maze full of wolves and bear monsters or Yokai, becoming a dangerous place where people can sotis get lost and never return… Hence why is it important to take them down or control them. Of course, our organization couldn't care less about what happens to civilians, unfortunately. This is more for the sake of our profits.
Corrupted Domains have rich resources and can keep producing more over ti… Yokai and their materials, the leftover energy they leave, with proper weapons, this energy can be crystalized upon their deaths and used as fuel for all kind of magical technology, arrays, and overall for the entire maintenance of the organization.
And above all, this Dark Mana that seeps from it is what my father feeds from, so these are important for his own daily life, as they give him necessary dark energy to keep himself well fed, otherwise he would have to eat souls or highly magical beings, like gods.
…Well, not like he hasn't done that before, I think.
Its complicated, although I can live just fine without eating any of those things, and just normal food… the food has to be really high quality and not normal at all, at this point, divine-level food doesn't really feed , it has to be all cosmic dishes using cosmic-level ingredients.
Thankfully I am growing them inside my Divine Realm, perhaps I should try to sohow bring items from that divine realm here and try to see if my father could eat them to feel better. I think one of the reasons they're targeting Frank, aside from wanting his powers, is because my father wants to eat him due to his cosmic power.
It's a very complicated thing to deal with too, I can't just outright say that either, my father doesn't know I know that, and if I talk it out loud, it might co out as weird. Also if dea tried killing Frank then the rest will surely follow, even when I tell them that I can handle him myself, they're impatient.
Sneaking cosmic food into my father's food is not easy either… and even when I feed him that, then he'll ask how I even got these materials, and it will simply not make any sense, and it might disturb the "story", and I could receive so penalty.
It isn't as strict as I originally thought though, but things have to flow "naturally" if I make things too weird and strange, the story is disrupted, and I could get a penalty, such as losing mories, or even getting weaker.
Navigating around these things is not that hard either, and I've found ways to ignore them or loopholes, such as leaving the dungeon and then re-entering, that resets everything again.
A good idea would be to bring outside those that were completely assimilated and then help them rember everything easily and bring them back for a reset… the thing is, I don't think that would be natural in front of people that had already been assimilated by the "story", so I could get even more penalties.
I have to make it feel natural, father has to know that I obtained them from sowhere, and to make them into a consistent amount at that… I am sure that I can keep resetting the thing over and over, but the ti differences between this place and outside would be dangerous, being absent for too long, even when I go outside for half a second…
Too many things to consider, if I cannot bring materials here, I simply have to create or find them here, right? I've also discovered that using my powers don't seem restricted at all either, as long as I don't disrupt daily lives, but in fights? It's not a problem.
I can also use the excuse that I summoned a spirit to bring people here without having to turn them into story characters, it worked with Yggdrantia, I think it can even work on my kids or other people. But still, we need to do this slowly…
I can at least try cooking sothing for him with the things we got here and then try to imbue my cosmic or chaos powers into the dish to turn it into sothing pseudo cosmic, maybe that could satiate his hunger better for the ti being? Instead of having to eat Frank…
Anyway, for now, Mount Takao is mine, and I'll go raid this place during the weekend. I plan to bring along my wives that live in this world as well as my maids, and I also plan on recruiting the oni, I can feel the presence of soone familiar in there… or several of them.
Aside from the Oni which seed to have been reported to be kidnaping people from smaller villages and aiming to use them as sacrifices for so strange ritual, there was also a Tengu living there, right? Or so the rumors say. So we might even encounter those dangerous guys. I will try to befriend them all, but it might not be completely possible, we'll have to see and try.
Among my missing family mbers, there's my daughter Amiphossia and her husband, my son Ryo, my Centaur Wives Sofelaia and Sofarpia, my Oni Wife Oga, my Squirrel Wife Kaguya, and lastly Nixephine and Nefertiti.
I can sense them all due to our Soul Bond, which is still strong, but I cannot seem to contact them, so the worst has happened, and they've been assimilated by the "story" of the dungeon before we arrived here.
Nonetheless, I am not too worried, if I was I would've already started desperately looking for them around the world, I can sense they're healthy, and alive, not particularly suffering either.
