As five black slis leaped towards Frank and his friends with the attempt to crush them with their great force and weight, they attacked back on them with their special techniques or even their raw physical strength.
Matsuo conjured a Repulsion Barrier of Light, using it as a floating shield. The Sli hit it and was instantly electrocuted by the holy light within it, burning out and exploding.
BOOOM!
At the sa ti, Erika and Harumi received the slis with their raw physical power, without wanting to waste any of their energies fighting them, they kicked, punched, and slamd them with their heads, their Auras protected them from any poison, allowing them to fearlessly confront slis of this level.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
The slis were quickly blown up into pieces, splattering into the ground and then slowly lting, becoming black ashes.
anwhile, Frank had to confront two at the sa ti, which was the perfect ti to test his leveled up his skills and abilities.
"OOOOHHHH!"
Out of his Aura, suddenly, a giant black and red colored skeleton erged, no longer just white colored, the giant skeleton protected him from damage with its massive ribs, while its claws tore apart one of the slis with a mighty smashing attack.
CRAAASH!
anwhile, the other was spun around and quickly splattered everywhere by a magic, living umbrella Frank summoned out of his hand, with a long tongue and a big eye, the umbrella not only stopped the sli on its tracks, but it splattered its body into the ground and weakened its magic energies.
SPLAAAT!
Frank smiled with a nod.
"I've more or less mastered what these Yokai Skills can do…" He nodded to himself. "I did good in training them to this point!"
The [Giant Skeleton Guardian Aura: Gashadokuro: Level 7] and the [Spirit-Reflecting Demon Umbrella: Kasa-obake: Level 7] Skills were both excellent for both defense, distraction, and attack.
After training them for several days, Frank was able to let the [Giant Skeleton Guardian Aura: Gashadokuro] Skill activate automatically once he was in danger, protecting him with its ribs while attacking foes with its giant skelly claws.
anwhile, he employed [Spirit-Reflecting Demon Umbrella: Kasa-obake] as both a shield and a weapon, spinning it around created a magic reflecting effect that negated magical attacks to an extent, mostly based on the skill's level and durability of the umbrella.
With both of them, Frank could defend from almost any ambushing attack now and could simply not be surprised anymore.
Both skills had been obtained by finding Skill Books and using them, one of the benefits of his System Ability to itemize dead monsters sotis.
Just like right now.
"Oh?"
He saw that as both slis died, suddenly two blue crystals appeared, separate from the monster itself. These were purified Magic Crystals, which can be used for all sort of magecraft, alchemy, or to be directly absorbed to strengthen his Mana Core.
He quickly stored them inside his inventory automatically, as they disappeared by simply glancing at the items. Of course, he couldn't do this normally, unless it was a dropped item from a monster he had slain.
"Alright, there's even more, let's keep this going, team!" Frank said, as he saw the incoming slis.
"Well said, let's not separate though, Erika, Harumi, stay with us, whoever might be behind this probably wanted this to happen," Matsuo said. "We've practiced and learned a lot more about teamwork and our abilities, so please let's cooperate!"
"I know, don't worry" Harumi nodded. "I'll stay close."
"Eeeh, fine whatever," Erika shrugged. "Good thing these things just love leaping towards us like damn frogs!"
Another batch of slis leaped towards them from every angle, this ti they were eight!
Harumi evaded three of them coming after her head by ducking, then manifested a pair of arrows made of blood energy and mana, and using her own hand as a bow, she fired them against them.
"{Blood Bomb Arrow}!"
BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!
The slis instantly exploded and died against her attacks, as Frank defended against four, quickly crushing one of them with his Gashadokuro's claw, while another was spun into pieces by his umbrella.
However, the other two rapidly fired dozens of bullets towards him, bombarding him with explosions and forcing him to move around and not be as static.
"Alright, you forced my hand."
He threw away the umbrella as it disappeared, and he rushed towards the two slis, his skeletal aura disappeared as well.
And from within his body, an evil, powerful aura surged instead!
FLUOSH!
Matsuo, Harumi, and Eerika glanced at him the mont they felt it, there was sothing within Frank now.
An Evil Divinity!
His Aura transford, resembling a giant white snake surrounded by purple, poisonous smoke.
At the sa ti, several parts of his body were covered with white scales, as his nails grew into sharp purple claws with venom in them.
Even his brown hair turned long and purple and white, and his eyes resembled those of a snake, while he gained a long tail on his back.
It was a bit freaky, but he was also not just a human anymore…
"{Divine Blessing Protection of Yamata-no-Orochi}: {Cursed Body Transformation}"
Copying Koga Saburo's ability to a much lesser, less harmful state, Frank rushed forward, with enhanced speed, attack power, senses, and more.
CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!
With a rciless swing of his long claws, he tore apart three slis coming his way, resisting the imnse impact of their blows and then crushing them with his aura.
SPLAAAT!
"Ah right, Ruby, you're up!"
As Frank saw more slis coming their way, he quickly summoned his Familiar, Ruby!
FLUOSH!
She appeared out of a white portal, erging above the skies and roaring mightily.
"ROOAAR!"
She was a bit angry though, as Frank forgot to summon her for the battles.
However, she quickly descended, opening her jaws and burning to ashes three more slis, her flas were deadly.
FLUOOOSH!
Her recent evolution had turned her into a flying creature nad [Baby Ruby Fla Wyvern], not only was she good at flying now, but her body was covered on fine, crystal-like scales.
Which aside from their beauty, held the ability to reflect attacks.
