-----

Suddenly, the paper door was sliced apart, breaking into pieces as a tall, muscular, yet slender figure stepped forward. He had long white hair tied into a ponytail, sharp golden eyes, pale skin, and an expression of utter contempt on his nearly flawless face. His upper body was bare, revealing muscles and scars, while his lower half wore baggy white and silver pants cinched at the ankles. Exuding divinity, the barefoot man looked wild.

"Why is he here?! Why?! Why?! Why?!"

"Ugh! No, it can’t be! No! No! NO! It can’t be!!!"

"Ahhh! Why?! W-Why?! Why...!"

"W-Why him of all people?! Ack! Cough...!"

"Wait, wait! N-no...! No! No! No!"

Yuki watched the soldiers she had previously saved screaming in horror, lowering their heads and kneeling before the man’s presence. His Aura surged, resembling thousands of katanas lined around him, spreading a divine domain of white lightning and unparalleled might.

"There’s no place in heaven for traitors like you! Dishonorable mutts!"

The mighty god roared, and the soldiers began crying, pleading for their lives, begging to be spared from his divine wrath and avoid being cut into pieces.

"We are so sorry!"

"Please forgive us, great Heavenly King!"

"We were wrong! Please have rcy!"

"I-I have a family...! I have three children...!"

"This guy...!" Yuki’s face twisted with horror and anger as she realized who he was.

mories had returned when she was sleeping. Now, seeing his appearance, attitude, and the soldiers’ reactions to his divine might, it all made sense. She rembered who this god of the sword was.

Yes, of course, who else but him?

"Susanoo?!"

Her eyes glowed brightly as her Aura surged, shaped like her three Divine Beast Spirits. Every cell in her body beca alert.

Susanoo looked back at Yuki with sharp eyes and a serious expression. He didn’t seem to recognize her past life’s identity.

"And who are you to know my na? You’re from Yggdrasil, right? What were you doing here with these soldiers? MY SOLDIERS?"

"They’re not yours. They’re free people, you shithead!"

"...Hah? Such insolence!"

Susanoo smiled, then burst into laughter, clutching his face, unable to believe this woman’s boldness.

"Ha ha ha ha! You’re truly unbelievable! If you know who I am, why do you dare speak to with such insolence?"

"Because I know the piece of shit you are. You murdered your own sister, after all."

"Heh... Hehehe! You know too much. Were you from Zipangu? Co on, tell your na... I must know."

Yuki wanted to reveal who she was, but she didn’t.

She had to keep it a secret.

This man’s power level was beyond her own.

It was utterly ridiculous!

RUMBLE!

His Aura was several tis stronger than hers, as was his Divine Power, surpassing anything she had seen before.

He was close to the Venerables she had encountered. Her brother had grown so much stronger, almost unrecognizable.

Honestly, with Yudra there, Yuki wanted to run, but the soldiers cowering for their lives...

They were her responsibility. She had promised to protect them.

"Yudra, can you bring these n far away?"

"Mama? Wahh?"

"You’re a very smart girl. Can you do it?"

"..."

Yudra tilted her head, then nodded, seeming to understand.

"Hmm!"

She spread her little paws, making Susanoo pause.

"Are you going to fight with that child by your side or sothing? The people of Yggdrasil are really strange—"

TRUUUM!

"W-Wha...?!"

From Yudra’s paws, a gigantic beam of Divine Sunlight erupted, striking Susanoo with imnse force. His Sword Aura began slicing through it, but the shockwave pushed him back hundreds of ters.

BOOOM!

Yuki and the soldiers gasped, mouths wide open. No one expected adorable little Yudra to blast Susanoo away with a massive flare beam.

"Yudra?! I told you to bring them to safety!" Yuki said in shock.

"Amama! Awaha! Heheh!" Yudra giggled, grabbing her feet and spinning in midair with her fluffy wings. "Boom, boom!"

"T-That power...!"

"It was surely hers!"

"You’re...?!"

"Your daughter too?!"

The soldiers could hardly deny it now. Yuki and her daughter Yudra... their powers resembled the goddess once slain.

Ever since her death, the sun had turned from golden radiance to dark red, barely illuminating the world.

The only Kami to wield the Sun’s power... it was her.

"What was that just now?"

Susanoo’s voice echoed from the distance as he tossed aside rubble. The Sword God advanced, his Aura fluctuating.

"You used the power of... the Sun? The power I always wanted, yet could never get, even after my sister’s death?!"

Susanoo glared at Yuki with anger. She couldn’t think straight, unsure how he would react or if he would guess the truth.

Perhaps the truth was too ridiculous for him to guess easily... Yuki hoped so.

"Who is that child?! Is she the daughter of that ’dragon king’ bastard who killed my three friends?! And you must be his wife, right?!"

"He killed your friends? You have friends at all, Susanoo?"

"So you don’t deny it... And of course I have friends, or I had! Until your bastard husband killed them! That lizard...! I’m going to cut him into pieces and eat him as sashimi!"

"Heh... Ha ha ha ha!"

Yuki laughed as the soldiers glanced at her, moving behind her. Susanoo glared at them angrily, but even more at Yuki.

"You?! You think you can beat Drake?! Don’t make laugh! Your pathetic ass could never, EVER beat my husband! He’s the strongest!"

"Hah? We’ll see about that! For now, how about I cut you and your daughter into tiny pieces so I can greet him with your impaled heads? I’m sure he’ll love the sight!"

"You’re one sick motherfucker, just like I rember..."

"Like you rember? Just who are you?!"

Susanoo lost patience, charging at Yuki with his large sword in hand, infusing it with silver Divine Aura as he swung it forward.

The technique had no na, just a simple swing of his blade.

Yet he moved with brute force, technique, and grace—an imnsely strange, yet majestic attack.
