The entire scene transford instantly, and the atmosphere of the chaotic battle shifted as nurous eyes turned toward the unfolding events.
Most had already noticed a powerful Dragon entering the Singularity Vortex but were too distant to discern what was happening amidst the ceaseless flow of dinsional energy surrounding them.
However, they knew they were battling another entity that had infiltrated this realm, and they understood their conflict had reached a swift conclusion, though one none had anticipated, as both adversaries remained alive at the end.
"What’s the aning of this?"
A towering figure spoke amidst the endless vortex. His humanoid form, radiant with golden light and draped in sacred white robes, exuded a potent space-warping aura. His presence alone was formidable and commanding, his face barely discernible beneath the intense light emanating from his body, conveying a grave expression.
His eyes blazed like twin golden suns, while his aura swirled around him, resembling countless stars. His presence, unmistakably, was that of a Venerable.
"It appears the lizards we hoped would destroy each other have ford an alliance, Great Ancestor."
Another humanoid figure spoke, less radiant but distinctly human in appearance, with long blonde hair cascading to his legs, a muscular build, and pale skin. He wore white and golden robes and wielded a large golden sword in his right hand.
His eyes shone with golden light, mirroring his "ancestor," and like him, he bore a rotating ring of golden light behind him, radiating a powerful aura that rippled outward, distorting space itself.
He, too, was a Venerable, though far younger than the other.
"What should we do? Should I slay them?" the younger Venerable asked.
"Are you confident you can defeat both of them and any allies they’ve brought?" the ancestor inquired.
"I believe I am. Their power is indeed vast but not as refined as ours," the younger Venerable replied.
"I would relish testing your confidence, but we have no ti to waste on them. The tides of this war will sweep away all who are unworthy, and relics of the past, such as dragons, will perish in this era, alongside all else that once dominated our world," the ancestor declared.
As he spoke with calm assurance, his formidable aura coalesced into a massive barrier of light enveloping him and his successor, seamlessly rged and unleashing hundreds of radiant beams against a vast army of specters surging toward them.
The specters, Yokai erging from a massive spatial rift above the floating palace encircled by the Sakura tree forest, multiplied relentlessly, growing from hundreds to thousands, then millions, in re seconds.
Yet the light wielded by this ancient Venerable was more than sufficient to obliterate them, regardless of their numbers, reducing them to ashes and erasing them from existence.
"Separating would be unwise," he said with wisdom and patience in his voice. "We face multiple foes simultaneously, so not even of our world."
"Hmph, you’re right, Great Ancestor," the second Venerable agreed. "And look, it seems one of those fools is charging here with his army of weaklings, perhaps to perish by our hands like the rest?"
"You know what to do," the other Venerable said, as the younger one nodded, smiling as he rushed toward the approaching army of Zipangu’s mutated soldiers, further empowered by the ocean of abyssal curses flowing through the surrounding area.
The Venerable observed the man advancing in his direction, another human like himself but raised in another world, Zipangu, a realm created from what he knew, by one of the First Reincarnated Souls, summoned in ancient tis by the Primordial Gods.
Her na was Amaterasu, and unlike the destructive powers of Pandemonium and Chaos, her ability gave birth to an entirely new world where she fled, never to be seen again.
Yet now, in a twist of irony, her world was rging with Yggdrasil, ceaselessly warping reality and spreading strange, alien energies it had developed within. She was dead, her corpse now a tool for her own creations, her children, to invade this world.
"Another weakling has appeared..."
The Venerable smiled confidently as he beheld a man with a proud expression, clad in silver armor, with long blue hair and glowing green eyes.
He wielded two long katanas in his hands, radiating a blue and silver aura interwoven with purple and red, a fusion of his cultivated Heaven and Earth Essence and the Cursed Energy he had made his body a vessel for.
"I am Niwa Nagahide, one of the Five Great Generals of my Lord and Emperor, Oda Nobunaga-sama!" he roared mightily, standing tall.
The Venerable felt imnse pressure emanating from the man. He was certainly no mortal and had surpassed even Gods.
To the Venerable, this was absurd. He had spent thousands of years reaching his current level, yet these alien invaders wielded imnse power beyond asure.
They were akin to Venerables themselves, which was utterly preposterous!
Yet could they truly compare to a Venerable who had honed his power for millennia and revived in a perfect body, forged over eons for this very mont?
FLAAASH!
The youthful-looking Venerable grinned, spreading his arms wide to reveal his extraordinarily muscular upper body, brimming with imnse physical prowess, despite being a re human, considered the weakest race in Yggdrasil.
Yet this race had produced not one but two Venerables.
"I admit, you’re strong...!" laughed the Venerable. "Perhaps you’ll provide the entertainnt I seek in this tedious and protracted war for supremacy, young general?"
"Hmph! Such insolence, and yet you don’t even introduce yourself! Why are the barbarians of this world so lacking in manners?!" Niwa roared furiously, his aura surging.
"Na? You may call Fortune, and my Title is renowned across Yggdrasil! I am the Heaven-Defying Providence Immortal Venerable! I was the supre ruler of the second half of the dieval Antiquity Era, and I brought providence, fortune, and beauty to a world ravaged by that Demonic Fox, who I believe ca from your world as well!"
"A mber of our world had already arrived in this one before?" Niwa wondered. "Amusing! But I suppose you won’t speak any more about that, will you?"
"No, I want to fight. I’ve been waiting nearly a million years since my death for this mont!" roared the long-haired Venerable, his blonde hair rippling with the shockwaves produced by his body and aura. "And you, alien from another world, shall bring the entertainnt I crave! You will beco a fine target for to hone my rusty swordsmanship skills!"
