"Ugh, don’t pat ! I’m not a kid!" Athyst quickly reverted to her previous self as she barked at Miranda angrily.
"Hahaha, please forgive her, she’s still processing everything, it’ll take us a while to get used to a new reality where we’ve finally defeated Umbral... it always felt like such a distant dream after all," Jord said. "And even more now that I’m completed..."
"Big sis! You’re back to full power!" Aegir cried from afar, arriving from the skies, she had been helping out the rest of Drake’s allies with her armor and weapons, and plenty of healing and protection magic. "Wow! You’re finally back! Now we’re only missing one of our siblings!"
"Yeah," Jord nodded, hugging Aegir happily, and then kissing her little forehead. "I hope that we can t with Logi soon? He won’t mind seeing after a while, right?"
"Of course he won’t! He stayed on Muspelheim, but he still loves us," Aegir nodded. "So don’t worry sis! With Drake’s help we should be able to quickly teleport there... Oh right, we could even speak to him telepathically! He could create a portal for us!"
"Right, can he?" Jord wondered. "If he’s at full power, manipulating space shouldn’t be too hard, right..."
"How are you feeling, Athyst?" Drake asked, leaving the two goddess sisters on their own.
"I’m alright," Athyst sighed. "And... um, thank you."
"Huh?" Drake was left confused. "You’re thanking ?"
"Yeah I am, for everything you’ve done for ..." Athyst said. "You... you’re a really good person... and I’m... I’m sorry for having been rude to you before. Without your help, all of this wouldn’t have been possible... I was in a really bad place and... I’m really grateful that you knocked so sense on ."
"Hahaha! There’s nothing to thank for, that’s what I should’ve done as your King," Drake laughed, patting her little head. "If you ever need help, feel free to ask! My disciples get special treatnt, you know?"
"Hahah..." Athyst laughed. "I guess that’s what we are now?"
"Well, we are also family, never forget that," Drake said. "You’re not alone, even if your mother is gone... you got us, alright?"
"I see..." Athyst looked at Drake and his family, feeling moved. "Thank you..."
And then, she started shedding a few tears, as she looked down, her lips trembling.
"Thank you... uuhh... thank you..."
"Athyst..."
Drake couldn’t help himself, walking towards her and gave her a big, fatherly hug.
"Always rember that we’re your family too, alright? More than your master, you can just call uncle if you want."
"Guuuhhh..."
Athyst looked like a ss, crying so much that everyone ended up moving towards her and giving her a big family hug.
"It’s alright big sis!" Benladra said.
"Don’t worry, you will never be alone again," Kate nodded.
"Don’t cry! Let’s go eat instead!" Drakda tried to cheer her up.
"We’ve only spent a couple of weeks together, but you’re a lovely girl, Yuki," Benladann said. "You’re definitely part of this family."
"Yep, so don’t cry so much, kid, it’s alright," Miranda said.
"Geez, what a crybaby you are!" Yuki sighed, crossing her arms. "There, there, get better already."
In the distance, Jord, Aegir, and Androda glanced at Athyst being hugged by a big family of dragons and giants, finally making her feel a little better.
"She has co a long way..." Jord said. "I hope that she’ll stay with all of you... she really needs it. A family."
"Well, she’s welco to join!" Aegir nodded. "Unlike Surtr and Erald who already had hos, she doesn’t have anything right? I guess we can be her new ho then."
"Well said, Aegir," Androda nodded. "Drake, you should ask her..."
"Hm, alright," Drake nodded. "Ahem! Hey, Athyst... You don’t have anywhere to go back to, right? So... well, if you don’t mind... I an, we don’t really mind you know? If you... well, if you stay with us."
"Eh?" Athyst was confused.
"You can join us like... permanently," Drake smiled gently. "You don’t have to go if you don’t want to... we’ll happily let you join in the family. There’s always a vacant room at the castle."
"Really? B-But..." Athyst was overwheld. "I don’t want to be a burden...!"
"You’re no burden, you’re super strong, girl! You’ll be a great addition if anything, heh," Miranda said.
"Indeed!" Benladann nodded. "Oh well, I an, it’s just up to you... We’ll be departing on a few days, so you got plenty of ti to make your decision... We don’t want to force you, right Drake?"
"Ah, yeah, of course not," Drake nodded. "Take your ti! ...Now, shall we go eat sothing? I bet you’re hungry."
"Yeah..." Athyst sighed. "Very..."
"Hahaha! Let’s go eat then! Hey Alma! Guys! How did you handle things?" Drake asked, as Alma’s group returned to their side, looking rather happy after their victory.
"Pretty well! That bastard’s gone!" Alma nodded. "And I can tell you guys didn’t waste your ti either, huh? Well done! I’m glad that Umbral bastard is gone... he has been tornting the continent for a while now. With all the shit going on, we really didn’t need another bastard doing whatever he wanted."
"I guess you’re not wrong," Drake said. "About Stone’s remains, is there sothing left at all?"
"He was crushed and pulverized," Root said. "However, I am not too sure if his soul was destroyed or not... I’m sorry."
"No, it’s alright, you did what you could," Drake said. "You’ll learn how to target souls from , I’ll also help you get so Soul Gear, that would have helped you resist against the Mana Siphon much better, as it was a special formation that targeted your souls."
"Soul Gear? What’s that?" Hers asked.
"Clothes you put on your Soul itself, which protects it and can help you defend against soul attacks, while making you stronger in return," Athyst explained. "You need special materials to make it but it’s not too hard I think..."
"Anyway, now that we are all gathered, let’s go back to my Divine Realm, there’s a lot we have to talk," Drake said. "And we should eat sothing too."
