"My soul…?" Athyst wondered. "Well, that's weird though, but… I an, you're the boss here I suppose, ugh."
She didn't quite like the idea of being told what to do, but she didn't lack the spirit to improve at the very least.
"So what do I do?" she asked.
"You usually start by cultivating your Soul and Training it, that Fox Woman is an expert on Soul Cultivation too, so we would ask for her help but…" I said, looking at her eyes. "You first have to visit your Draconic Records and ask your Grandmother to let you to enter their Realm and hunt the Divine Soul Beasts there."
"Divine Soul Beasts?" she asked. "Wait… Oh, the creatures that live inside of the Draconic Record Realms? But I thought those creatures were like… not real?"
"They develop and grow inside of a world made of souls and ethereal energies," I explained. "But they're very much real, and you can hunt them and eat them, and use their bodies as Soul Treasures to create Soul Gear. By eating them, you can strengthen your own Soul, their at and blood is especially needed. You haven't eaten there before? I rember that after the tournant, there was a large feast back then."
"I did eat too," nodded Athyst. "But not that much, I haven't visited that place ever since…"
"I see…" I nodded. "Let check your soul again."
I quickly touched her shoulder, as I infused my Aura inside of her body and then scanned her soul for a second.
Indeed, it was quite weak, although not too weak, it still possessed Divine Power within it, and the little she had eaten back then must have helped her.
"Alright, it's definitely not that strong," I explained. "One of the major advantages that Umbral has over you is not just the Demon King Heart, but that his Soul must be much more cultivated and stronger than yours, bigger and more powerful. If he can even freely refine Soul Gear, then he's most likely a formidable being with an imnsely strong Soul and very high levels of Soul Aether."
"Hmm… I guess so!" Athyst groaned angrily. "But not for long! If you're saying I need to just hunt these things and eat them, then that's pretty easy! Let's do this!"
"Alright, that's the spirit," I said. "Let's get moving then to the Draconic Records."
I decided to go with her alone, Jord could co along as well, as she was fused with Athyst's body, on one of her hands.
As for the rest of my family, they continued honing their skills, practicing their abilities and divinities, and cultivating using their unique ways.
They required little guidance from , as they were already walking their own paths, even more Benladann and Miranda, who had already obtained Archetypes, which they were now trying to master.
We entered the Draconic Records through a portal I opened, as the two of us entered with our bodies as well, although it is also possible to go there as just our Souls.
Coming with our Bodies was important as it would be a line of defense against the Divine Soul Beasts that attack the soul directly…
"Huh, been a few years since I was here… it's the sa place that I rember though, arid, hot, dry…" Athyst looked around, looking rather bored.
We were inside the Earth Dragons Records Realm, a large arid steppe of savannas, deserts, and other dry areas, there were even canyons in the distance, and giant mountains everywhere.
"I detect soone that hasn't co here for a while…!"
Suddenly, the rumbling voice of Jotun echoed through the entire world, as Athyst stepped back in surprise, seeing as the ground in front of us shook, breaking apart as a gigantic turtle-like dragon goddess erged, her giant shell covered on countless colorful crystals.
"G-Grandmother?!"
Athyst probably hoped to just not find her or to not talk with her, but that was never going to happen. We needed her permission to hunt here to begin with!
"Why yes! It is Athyst herself! Everyone, Athyst is here!"
Jotun cried happily to see Athyst, as hundreds of Earth Dragons suddenly started arriving from the skies, or by digging through the ground. A lot of them had gigantic claws and smaller wings, specializing in digging like moles rather than flight.
"Aaah! Athyst!"
"You've grown a lot!"
"Is that Drake with you?"
"So you truly found her! Thanks a lot, Dragon King!"
"We've been worried about you, why haven't you visited in years?!"
The Earth Dragons were naturally upset she hadn't co in a long ti, and Athyst felt flustered and overwheld, barely being able to muster a word at all…
"I-I… Uuhhh…"
"Hahaha! Why are you so shy?! It's not like you!" her grandmother laughed. "Drake! I see that you've fulfilled your promise and brought her back to ! Thank you!"
"No problem," I said. "I brought her here for another thing too."
"Oh? What is it?" she asked.
"I have started to train her; we need to first train her Soul. I was considering letting her hunt the Divine Soul Beasts in here, let her eat their at and drink their blood, and also let her craft Soul Gear," I explained. "It is very necessary for her growth to start a strong Soul Foundation, especially when we're training to go against Umbral."
"Hmmm, I see…" Jotun nodded. "Of course! You're allowed, why wouldn't I let you? You didn't even need to ask, hahaha! Go ahead!"
"Thanks…" Athyst muttered shyly.
"Oh right! Why don't you visit so Soul Sanctuaries while you're at it?" asked Athyst's grandmother. "They're special areas in this Realm where there's large concentrations of strong and rare Divine Soul Beasts. I'll update your Map, Drake. Take my girl there and let her get all the goodies."
"Thanks a lot! I intend to do just that!" I nodded. "Alright Athyst, no ti to waste, let's go."
"Uh? A-Ah, yeah!" Athyst nodded. "Sorry, I gotta go… Bye!"
She waved her hand at them as we flew far away, towards a large mountain, a series of caves filled with glowing crystals and large golem-like creatures was ideal for Athysts to grow.
