When the explosions within the inheritance trial happened, everyone was quickly teleported away by Drake's quick thinking.
However, to them, it didn't feel like they were teleported inside his Divine Realm, as the movent between spaces was incredibly quick, it felt like they were thrown into the void and then landed sowhere else "safely".
While most managed to get to the ground safely, so of them ended up getting too far away from the rest due to the powerful movents of the space shifting abilities Drake employed.
He was in a hurry and also engulfed by the explosion, and he was unable to do this perfectly after all and taking into consideration that he was being attacked by Pandemonium, it was an even harder thing to do.
As the explosion happened and space shifted, Erald felt like he was sent through the void itself. For a mont, he felt completely lonely within this void, before falling into a the abandoned ruins of an ancient civilization of giants.
CRAAASH!
Erald, who had taken a lot of damage on his battle against the powerful Venerable of Flas, landed on his own head, losing consciousness in that mont.
To him, it felt like the void he saw never ended, finding himself falling through this darkness, his mind shifting in and out of consciousness, he was unable to tell what was happening.
The young Divine Dragon was gifted with many talents, but through most of his life, he had suffered tragedies after tragedies and had only gone through terrible things.
He was cherished as the only young wind dragon of the wind dragon family, and yet because of so many things, he ended being exiled until he showed his true strength and worth, and beca a true dragon.
Because he was too spoiled due to his family being too worried about him, Erald went through a lot of challenges.
"You're weak, pathetic!"
He could still hear his voice, the voice of that thing he fought in the skies when he descended, that monster he believed to be a dragon like him.
His black claws filled with cursed flas tore through his wings, as he was punched and kicked to almost death.
The first contact with another dragon was already terrifying, and he almost died.
"You're not even worth killing. But I made sure you could never fly again."
The voice echoed through his mind once more, as he rembered that terrifying black dragon flying away, humiliating him like nobody else ever did in his life.
Once he fell to Muspelheim, a land of flas and intense heat, he felt lost, almost passing out in the spot... Only to be eventually found out by monsters, and escaping into a large village of Lizardn, where they ended helping him, believing he was their guardian given form.
He felt bad about fooling them into thinking that, he felt very guilty, Eralda was still weak, and his encounter with that dragon only made him feel more pathetic with himself, and yet these people that believed in his protection, that feed him and were so nice with him...
They slowly gave him so hope, they slowly made him feel better, and slowly, he regained so sense of pride, he began to slowly reconsider things, trying his best to work hard and help these people. He even planned to beco their spirit guardian.
And yet tragedy struck again, the strange tree monster from that dungeon attacked and everything beca even worse, people started blaming him for stealing their food when it was that monster, and Erald was forced to escape, only to go back when demons attacked the village seeking souls to devour.
And in that tragic mont was when Erald t Drake, and both defended the village, while also entering the dungeon, defeating the monster of the past sealed within that had beco distorted with the dungeon core, and giving Erald new hope and even helping him regain his powers, and break his curse.
He slowly regained his confidence, fell in love, and trained a lot with Drake and even t Surtr later, the three beca great friends, and he gained a strong and experienced master, and a friend that could potentially beco a rival... although he never went that far, due to his own ekness, he could never beco Surtr's rival, a much brighter and charismatic dragon than him.
Despite all, he was happy, slowly, learning, getting stronger, and even learning about love, and becoming Ahia's partner, for the first ti, Erald slowly felt like he had truly matured, that he had beco an adult and that he had walked past his traumas, he even visited his family through the Draconic Records, showing them how he has changed, and earning their respect and approval.
They even invited him back ho, but he refused the offer, saying that he learned that his strength could be used to save many others, to protect his beloved ones...
To better the world!
And yes, this was the mindset he carried even in this dangerous trial, as he fought by the side of his master, advancing from trial to trial and yet...
At the final trial, nothing went as planned, the Venerable he thought would patronize them and give them an amazing reward turned against them.
Pandemonium's monstrous power and demonic forces overwheld his master and friends, everything turned into a desperate battle for survival.
And while Drake had to battle Pandemonium to not let them risk their lives against a much deadlier foe, everyone else had to go against the Venerable himself.
And it was then that Erald's traumas, which he thought he had overco, resurfaced stronger than ever before.
He was humiliated, completely.
His powers amounted to nothing, Ahia and Tyrannus would have died at least three tis
if it wasn't because of Androda and the rest of Drake's wives and children saving them.
He felt powerless, all the strength he had cultivated, all the confidence he gained...
It all beca nothing in his eyes once more.
Even worse, his words, the words of that ancient monster still reverberated within his mind even in this dreamy landscape.
"What a pathetic thing you are. And you call yourself a dragon? Don't you dare even step in front of again, you're not even worth killing, weakling!"
