"Edith!?"
Su Xuan was startled by Edith’s appearance. He had been so engrossed in reading the Holy Scripture of Light that he hadn’t noticed ti freezing around him.
"So, it was the Holy Scripture of Light?"
Edith glanced at the book in Su Xuan’s hands, a peculiar glint flashing in her eyes as if she had sothing to say.
"Yeah, I’ve been studying Magic hard lately."
Su Xuan replied in all seriousness. He was always passionate about exploring Magic. ’Compared to advanced math, this is so much more fun!’
"What’s so great about learning Divine Magic? I can use the power of the Abyss to directly reshape your body and implant Magic right into your consciousness," Edith said, gracefully sitting down on the sofa. She gently crossed her long, slender legs, and her scarlet high heels glinted alluringly under the light, like burning flas that completely captured Su Xuan’s gaze.
She looked so relaxed and at ease, as if she were in her own ho.

Edith’s words left Su Xuan stunned. He recalled the Succubus Fruit she had given him before. While it was true the Abyss had many items to enhance one’s Physique, he had never heard of implanting Magic directly into soone’s consciousness. ’Is that even possible?’
"Will it affect my brain?" Su Xuan asked.
"Hm, it might turn you into a tentacle monster," Edith replied nonchalantly.
"Fuck that! No way!"
Upon hearing her answer, Su Xuan imdiately rejected the magical implant. ’I don’t want to beco a tentacle monster! I want to keep my original form!’
"Such a sha. I always thought you had great potential as a tentacle monster," Edith said with a smile, shrugging her porcelain shoulders. "You’ve worked hard. Now, give the Fla Magic Stone."
"Hold on."
Su Xuan got up and headed to Rosaline’s room to retrieve the Fla Magic Stone.
"Rosaline..."
The mont Su Xuan pushed the door open, he saw Rosaline sitting cross-legged on the bed, ditating. A Magic Fla Silver Phoenix Butterfly fluttered cheerfully beside her.
’Is she asleep?’
Su Xuan walked over to Rosaline and saw that her eyes were shut tight.
’Forget it, I’ll just get it myself.’ Su Xuan reached his hand into Rosaline’s Soul Body, trying to retrieve the Fla Magic Stone. The mont his hand passed through, it felt like plunging it into gooey jelly.
When he touched the Fla Magic Stone, its searing heat was still unbearable. But knowing he only had to move it a short distance, he endured the intense heat and resolutely pulled it out.
"So hot, so hot!"
Cradling the searing Fla Magic Stone, Su Xuan hurried back to Edith and tossed it to her.
"Phew..."
Only after letting go of the Fla Magic Stone did he heave a sigh of relief. "Can you tell what you’re going to do with the Immortal Fire?" he asked.
Su Xuan knew in his heart that Edith hadn’t gone to all this trouble for the Fla Magic Stone just to defeat Fla Demon Vigil.

No matter how powerful the Immortal Fire was, it couldn’t withstand damage beyond its limits. Just as Lucia had said, even the Anger Demon King who created it could be killed by force, let alone a re fragnt of his heart.
"Why? Are you that concerned about my affairs?" Edith asked softly, carefully observing the Fla Magic Stone in her hand.
"What do you think?"
Su Xuan shrugged. ’My Guild mbers put their lives on the line to seal the Immortal Fire. Don’t I at least have the right to know what it’s going to be used for?’
Besides, the intricate connection between Edith and Ivsha, and their striking resemblance, naturally made Su Xuan feel a sliver of concern.
Edith turned her head to gaze at Su Xuan, a strange light flashing in her deep, dark-red eyes. After a brief silence, she explained softly, "I intend to use the Immortal Fire to forge a Holy Artifact. I have many enemies, you know, so I need so powerful defensive items to protect myself."
’That’s true.’ Su Xuan suddenly realized Edith did have many enemies. It made sense she’d need more ways to protect herself.
"Now that I have what I ca for..."
Edith slowly rose and walked toward Su Xuan, her high heels making a crisp, pleasant sound against the old wooden floorboards.
When she stood before Su Xuan, she reached out a delicate hand, plunging it toward his heart.
Su Xuan was baffled by her action, but before he could react, he felt her delicate hand pierce his chest. Bright red blood instantly gushed out. A searing pain shot through him, as if his heart were being ripped apart.
At the sa ti, he heard Edith’s soft whisper in his ear. "This is your reward for a job well done. The process, however, might be a little painful..."
"Are you sure it’s just a *little* painful?"
Before Su Xuan could finish speaking, his consciousness began to fade as he rapidly descended into chaos.
In his fading vision, a series of prompts quickly popped up, a blur before his eyes.
