Entertainment: Starting as a Succubus, Taking Hollywood by Storm Chapter 348 - 354: Emma and Elizabeth – Rivals
Emma Watson finally let go of Martin.
While she felt she could hold onto Martin forever, her body didn't agree—look at those skinny arms of hers. Did she really want to render them useless?
"Oh, thank God it's over," grumbled Rupert Grint in annoyance. Emma's face flushed red. She had montarily forgotten she wasn't alone—Rupert and Daniel were right next to her.
But there was no way Emma would admit any fault on her part.
Lifting her chin with pride, she said smugly, "Hmph! I was just tired and leaning on Martin to rest for a bit. Why didn't you call sooner?"
Rupert pointed at himself, then at Emma, utterly incredulous. Was it even possible for soone to be this shaless?
He turned to Daniel for backup, only to discover that Daniel had seized the opportunity to sneak over to Martin, leaving Rupert behind.
Traitor! Rupert thought bitterly as he watched Daniel chatting with Martin, even getting his hair ruffled affectionately. Rupert fud. I was the first of the three of us to et Martin. I'm his best friend!
Without a second thought, Rupert shoved past Emma to rush toward Martin.
Emma, now ignoring Rupert's boorish actions, was still savoring the mory of hugging Martin. But then her eyes widened in shock.
A blonde girl about Emma's age was running toward Martin, calling his na excitedly. Her radiant smile lit up her face as she dashed into his arms, mimicking Emma's earlier actions. Martin lifted her into a playful spin.
In Emma's mind, there was only one word—Nooooo!
"Elizabeth, where are your two sisters?" Martin asked.
"Oh, they're mingling with the adults. I have no interest in listening to all that boring flattery," Elizabeth Olsen replied cheerfully.
"Fair enough. It is dull. Let introduce you to so friends."
"Emma, Daniel, Rupert—co over here."
"Why is my na always last?" Rupert muttered.
"Shut up!" Emma snapped at him before plastering on a sweet smile as she walked toward Elizabeth.
As soon as Elizabeth noticed Emma, she, too, put on a similarly sweet smile, extending her hand.
The two girls shook hands gently, their voices polite and soft.
"Hi, I'm Emma Watson. You can call Emma. Nice to et you."
"Hi, I'm Elizabeth Olsen. You can call Elizabeth. Nice to et you too."
Martin couldn't help but smile. Little girls these days were surprisingly precocious.
Rupert, dumbfounded, turned to Daniel. "Is that Emma?"
Daniel was rubbing his eyes. "If we're not seeing things, then yes, that's Emma."
"I can't believe Emma has this side to her. Why have we never seen it before?"
"Probably because we don't count as her rivals," Daniel said knowingly, though his understanding was half-baked.
In this mont, he recalled sothing his mother had once said: A woman's rivalry is all smiles on the surface, but deep down, they're ready to tear each other apart.
Rupert, still oblivious, asked, "Rivals? But they seem so friendly!"
"That's only because you can't sense the tension between them!" Daniel sighed.
"Elizabeth, how long have you known Martin? I t him when I was ten during the auditions for Harry Potter," Emma began.
"Oh, really? I've known him since I was seven or eight. I attended the premiere of The Parent Trap and even got his autograph. Oh, and I acted in the sequel as the lead!"
"Is that so? I haven't seen it. What's your favorite book of Martin's? Mine is Harry Potter."
"Just Harry Potter?" Elizabeth covered her mouth with a ladylike chuckle. "I love all of Martin's works, including Twilight."
Damn it! Emma realized she was losing ground. Dropping the pretense, she retorted angrily, "You're lying. My mom says Twilight isn't suitable for kids."
Elizabeth chuckled again, tilting her swan-like neck as though she had won a battle. "My mom and sisters don't stop from reading Martin's books, even Twilight."
"And," Elizabeth added, giving Emma a sly, fox-like glance before delivering the final blow, "Martin once promised to make his girlfriend when I grow up!"
What?!
Emma was stunned, her eyes wide with disbelief. She imdiately turned to find Martin and demand an explanation, only to realize he had disappeared.
The Art of Charm Rule #1: Never stick around when won start arguing—you'll end up caught in the crossfire.
Rupert and Daniel, however, weren't so lucky.
"Rupert! Daniel! How can you just stand there and watch? Aren't you going to help ?" Emma demanded.
"Uh... help with what?" Rupert asked, clueless.
Daniel, on the other hand, looked as though he regretted every life choice leading up to this mont. I should've left when Martin did.
"She probably wants us to help her argue," Daniel muttered.
Elizabeth curtsied gracefully to the boys, flashing a sweet smile that instantly won their favor.
Rupert grinned foolishly at her. "Argue? With who?"
Elizabeth couldn't help but laugh, covering her mouth politely. "With , of course."
"Huh?" Rupert blinked in confusion.
What a disgrace! Emma stomped her foot in frustration before storming off, leaving the boys behind.
Elizabeth waved cheerfully at them. "Keep in touch! Rember, my na is Elizabeth. Co visit when you're in Arica!"
Halfway through their walk, Rupert slapped his forehead in frustration. "Oh no, I forgot to get her contact information!"
Emma stomped on his foot. "You idiot! She was just being polite."
"How do you know?" Rupert asked, baffled.
Daniel glanced at Emma, then recalled Elizabeth's warm, composed deanor. He shook his head. The difference in their approach was clear. For once, the little lioness Emma had t her match.
Thinking about how Emma used to boss them around, Daniel suddenly felt an odd sense of relief. It was as if all his pent-up frustration had vanished.
