The warrior gritted his teeth in frustration, though Clyde and Asqa couldn’t see it beneath the sleek silver helm that masked his expression. His grip tightened on his weapon, anger building beneath his calm armored exterior.

Asqa’s eyes were locked on him like a predator eyeing wounded prey. With a move of her wand, another greenish arrow ford. The arrow glowing with that sa mist-like magical energy beside her wand.

She didn’t say a word, her gaze alone was enough to send the ssage.

She launched the projectile the next second.

The arrow streaked through the air with a faint hum, aid precisely for the warrior’s chest.

This wasn’t just a normal spell, it was one of her more vicious skill that once again she earned during her solitary hunts through the deep of the unknown parts of the Ruin. The skill was called [Venombloom Fang].

If even one of the arrows landed, it would inject a crippling poison into the target’s system that disrupted mana flow and slowed reflexes for three seconds. In a battle, three seconds is enough to kill soone.

The warrior twisted mid-air and slapped the arrow aside with his blade, smoke trailing from the deflection point. He growled, accelerating forward, steadily closing the distance between him and Asqa.

Asqa remained calm then firing again. Then again. Each green arrow was loosed with rhythm and deadly intent, forcing the warrior into a frantic pattern of dodging and parrying as he tried to advance. While Asqa maintaining a safe distance.

They dueled in the sky like a storm of glowing green against shining silver. But Clyde didn’t intervene. He hovered still for a mont and just watching them.

His faith in Asqa was absolute.

"She’s got him," he muttered to himself, and turned his attention elsewhere.

His sharp gaze scanned the battlefield.

The third warrior was hovering a few dozen ters away, separate from the fight, his wings gently keeping him aloft.

He hadn’t moved once ever since he dodged the huge fireball. His weapon remained steady at his side and his head turned slowly between Clyde and Asqa, calculating.

Clyde narrowed his eyes.

The hesitation was clear. The warrior was assessing and weighing his odds. He could now see Clyde more clearly. His glowing sword, the pressure radiating from him, and the faint Demonic heat clinging to his body. He knew.

"So this is the one Lord Gabriel spoke of..." the warrior thought, jaw clenched behind his helm. "The abomination that walks between Heaven and Hell..."

Fear began to slip through the cracks of his training. He had heard news of a man who could wield both Angelic and Demonic power who slaughtered Uriel’s follower, defeated her, and even fought with Lord Gabriel.

His fingers tightened on his weapon. He didn’t know whether to charge in to help his allies or retreat, report and to warn the others.

Clyde didn’t give him the chance.

Without warning, he surged forward like a launched missile.

The warrior’s eyes widened.

"He’s too fast—!"

"You hesitate. That’s enough for ." Clyde’s voice rang out, calm and sharp through the wind between them.

And then the distance between them vanished.

Clyde was already there—right in front of the silver-armored warrior before the man could even blink. His Elderglass sword arced in a brutal diagonal slash.

The warrior moved on pure instinct, yanking his blade up in a hasty parry.

CLANG!

Steel clashed with glowing crystal, a shockwave bursting from the impact as the two weapons collided mid-air.

Desperation kicked in. With his free hand, the warrior leveled his hybrid weapon that was a sleek fusion of lance and rifle, and fired point-blank into Clyde’s chest.

A flash of bright energy erupted from the muzzle and the shot hit true.

The impact rang out like a thunderclap. Clyde was blasted backward, spinning slightly as the projectile struck center mass.

But instead of piercing through, the radiant shell rely left a scorched mark across his coat and sent him skidding a few ters through the air.

The silver and gold coat he wore that looted from Uriel’s divine armory had held strong. The armor shimred with holy enchantnts, diffusing the projectile’s force.

He stopped mid-air, adjusting his flight instantly, and slowly looked up.

Still grinning. That grin was what broke the warrior’s composure.

"I can’t win this." He realized then.

Without a word, he spun mid-air, wings flaring wide, and surged away at full speed.

Wind tore past him as he fled, diving low toward the cracked plains below, desperate to escape and report back that the abominations that everybody was afraid of is in this domain.

But Clyde moved faster.

In the space between one heartbeat and the next, Clyde blurred. He appeared above the fleeing warrior like a falling blade.

"No running away. We still have business to do," Clyde said in the tone that instill terror to the warrior.

His Elderglass sword ca down in a clean vicious arc.

The glowing edge cut through both of the warrior’s wings at the base. Divine tal and feathers tore away with a flash of gold sparks and misted blood.

The scream never made it out of the warrior’s mouth.

He dropped like a stone.

After spiraling and flailing, he crashed into the earth below with a dull thud, carving a trench into the ground from the sheer force of impact.

Smoke and dust rose from the crater.

Clyde descended a few seconds later, landing beside the fallen warrior with a heavy thud. Without hesitation, he kicked the weakened man onto his back, then reached down and tore the helt free.

The face beneath was young, beautiful in that unmistakable Angelic way with radiant skin and clear color in both of his eyes, but now twisted in fear.

"Whose domain is this?" Clyde asked, his voice like cold steel.

"L-Lord Gabriel’s," the warrior stamred, trembling.

Clyde nodded slowly, expression unreadable. "Alright. Give your armor."

The warrior hesitated. So Clyde raised his sword a fraction.

The armor was on the ground a minute later.
