Uriel and Gabriel stood outside their own massive tent and behind their troops. They knew trying to barge in to Belial’s tent would be futile. Their troops wont let them past and interrupted the Demon King unless they had to create a massive war here.

Gabriel crossed his arms, his golden armor glinting under the eerie dark sky and the light of thunder above. "Even if we demand answers, he won’t tell us anything, right?" he muttered.

Uriel nodded, her gaze lingering on the sealed tent that located far away from them.

"We’re Archangels. He’s a Demon King. No matter the situation, that divide won’t change." Her voice was calm, but the tension between them and Belial was undeniable. Their history was drenched in war and bloodshed. Walking into his domain and expecting cooperation was foolish.

Gabriel exhaled sharply. "So what do we do now?"

Uriel’s wings shifted slightly as she thought. Then, her eyes darkened with realization. "We need to wait for another."

Gabriel frowned. "Another what?"

Uriel turned to him. "You can see that that dragon was no ordinary beast, if it manage to make Belial fought that hard. It ca from beyond the Black Wall and possessed power unlike the monsters we’ve seen until now after that fissuer. I think if one appeared, another will follow."

Gabriel’s gaze sharpened as he processed her words. It made sense. The Wall had been unstable for few minutes now after that explosion, vibration, and the fissure. It had never before spat out a creature that could make a higher beings extending that muct power. This must be just the beginning.

"We let Belial dissect that one," Uriel continued. "But we will take the next one that erges. We capture it before anyone does."

Gabriel nodded his head approvingly. "I like that plan."

Uriel gave a small nod. Then she goes back to her tent.

For now, they would wait. Because that was the only thing they can do.

Then after she gone, Gabriel turned his attention toward the ground where the Celestials stood.

Their gazes were locked onto him and Uriel who was now retreating, their expressions filled with anger and disapproval because of what they did before.

Gabriel sighed. He could feel their judgnt pressing down on them. They had never fully trusted the Archangels, or the Demons for that matter, but now, after everything that had happened, that distrust had only deepened.

"They still bla us," he murmured. "I think this will not be over quickly. We must ready for whatever they do next."

Gabriel ran a hand through his hair. "Arght, whatever. There’s nothing I can do about it now."

Gabriel then strode into his tent. The mont he sank into his throne, he let out a slow breath, as if attempting to push the weight of the day from his shoulders.

The storm outside raged on, thunder rolling across the sky, casting flickering shadows along the tent’s silk-draped walls.

The Black Wall lood in the distance, its unnatural presence a dark scar against the storm-wracked horizon.

From the opening in his tent, Gabriel could see the faint distortions around it, the unnatural warping of reality, as if the very air twisted around its edges.

He hated looking at it.

The fissure, the explosion, the monstrous dragon—it was all happened after they had sent the scouts inside. Is that really the cause? And more importantly, what was coming next? He thought that it wouldn’t be good.

Shaking his head, Gabriel snapped his fingers. A pair of angelic servants entered, bowing deeply before him.

"Bring sothing good to eat," he commanded, rubbing his temple. "Sothing that will make forget this damned day."

The servants nodded and quickly vanished, leaving Gabriel alone once more.

He sighed, leaning back, his mind still restless.

His thoughts drifted to their scouts he and Uriel had sent beyond the Black Wall. They should have reported back by now if they were still alive. What was taking them so long? Were they already dead over there?

His brow furrowed. A chill crawled up his spine when he realized that his connection to Aeralyn was severed a few minutes ago.

The realization made his jaw clench. Was he really dead? Had the Black Wall devoured them?

Then, his eyes snapped open wide when voice slithered into his thoughts.

It was Aeralyn’s voice.

"Your Majesty... we have found sothing here."

Gabriel sat upright, his breath halting for a fraction of a second. He was alive.

But his tone — sothing about it was off.

Gabriel’s fingers flexed. Sothing? What had they found?

His mind sharpened, all traces of exhaustion gone.

He didn’t know what it was but his scouts beyond the Black Wall had just made contact.

Gabriel’s eyes glead as relief washed over him. He straightened in his throne, his grip on the armrests loosening.

"Aeralyn, your condition?" His voice was calm but there was an undeniable edge of concern.

A brief pause followed before Aeralyn’s voice echoed in his mind once more.

"I’m fine, Your Majesty. Kassiel and Elsa are also unhard. We will complete our scouting mission."

Gabriel exhaled, a tension he hadn’t realized was gripping his chest slowly easing. They were alive. That alone was good news. But more than that, they had returned with information.

"Elsa is already reaching out to Archangel Uriel. We are prepared to return now."

Gabriel’s lips curled into a rare smile. The scouts coming back was a relief. Whatever they had found beyond the Black Wall, they had survived it. That ant they could bring back critical information—sothing that might finally shed light on the events unfolding.

"Permission granted. Return imdiately."

"Yes, Your Majesty."

The connection severed.

Gabriel stood, stretching his wings slightly as he stepped toward the opening of his tent. The storm above still raged, its howling winds making the banners of his camp tremble, but for the first ti in hours, he felt lighter.

He turned his gaze toward the dark horizon. The scouts were coming back. That was good news.

But Gabriel had been at war for too long to believe good news ever ca alone.

Sothing had changed beyond the Black Wall and now, he would finally learn what is that.
