Zhan Qing ca out of the bathroom, and Lin Wanyun was already lying on the bed.
She had her back to him, and from his angle, he couldn’t tell if she had fallen asleep.
Lin Wanyun heard Zhan Qing’s footsteps stop at the foot of the bed, and then there was silence. She calmly kept her eyes closed, not afraid of what Zhan Qing might do to her.
But she still underestimated Zhan Qing’s self-control.
Even though they had reached such a level of cold war, Zhan Qing still lifted the covers and pinned her under him.
As their breaths mingled, Lin Wanyun had no choice but to open her eyes and look at him, "Zhan Qing, I’m not the only woman in the house, are you really so desperate?"
Under the dim light, Zhan Qing’s eyes were deep. "You are my legal wife; you have the responsibility to fulfill marital duties."
Lin Wanyun remained calm on the surface, "Don’t make it sound so dignified. Could it be that Chu Shuang can’t satisfy you?"
As the words fell, Zhan Qing’s face completely darkened.
"Lin Wanyun, don’t impose your sordid thoughts on others. You and I, it’s perfectly justified."
Seeing he was really about to make a move, Lin Wanyun finally panicked.
As her clothes were about to be taken off, she frantically grabbed Zhan Qing’s hand, "Zhan Qing, I’m sick, you can’t do this to ..."
Zhan Qing remained silent, his hands still moving.
Lin Wanyun gritted her teeth, angrily saying, "Are you that desperate? If you’re so hungry, why don’t you go find Chu Shuang? Is she not as useful as ?"
Finally, Zhan Qing stopped with a gloomy face.
"Say that again?"
"Do I really have to say it so unpleasantly? Zhan Qing, admit it, you can’t bear to part with , that’s why you won’t divorce . Otherwise, why would you rather co to than go to Chu Shuang?"
Zhan Qing seed to be provoked by her, glaring at her fiercely, "Lin Wanyun, you brought this on yourself!"
He quickly pulled on his clothes and left without looking back.
The sound of the door closing was deep and dull, hamring a huge hole in her heart.
That night, Zhan Qing didn’t co back.
Lin Wanyun didn’t sleep all night and got up at dawn.
As she was going downstairs, Chu Shuang happened to co down from upstairs. They exchanged a glance, and Chu Shuang greeted her first, "Morning, Miss Lin."
Chu Shuang inadvertently tugged at her collar, revealing a dark red trace.
Lin Wanyun expressionlessly looked past her and walked straight outside.
"Miss Lin, can I talk to you?" Chu Shuang called after her as she followed.
Lin Wanyun couldn’t sleep all night, her mood already sour, and now Chu Shuang was bothering her first thing in the morning, making her face even more unpleasant. Her pace quickened, and as she was about to walk out the door, behind her, there suddenly ca the sound of Lin Wanyun’s scream of pain.
Lin Wanyun paused, and almost simultaneously, a figure dashed forward, pushing her aside and rushing toward Chu Shuang.
"Are you okay?"
"I’m fine, don’t bla Miss Lin, I couldn’t hold onto her."
Chu Shuang’s voice was soft and weak, but her words left Lin Wanyun completely bewildered.
Just as she was about to turn back, she heard Zhan Qing’s voice filled with disgust, "Lin Wanyun, I really didn’t know you were such a poisonous woman!"
Jealous woman?
Lin Wanyun laughed in anger.
She turned back to look at the man who couldn’t let go of Chu Shuang. "What am I jealous of her for? Jealous because she spent the night with the man I didn’t want?"
Zhan Qing furrowed his brow tightly, thinking she misunderstood, but he didn’t explain, supporting Chu Shuang as he stood.
Just as he let go, Chu Shuang imdiately collapsed to the side, and he could only help her into the house.
After finally getting Chu Shuang inside, Zhan Qing headed back out, but by the door, where was Lin Wanyun’s figure anymore?
