“Zhan Qing?” Chi Yue probed.
The person on the other end didn’t answer, but instead asked, “Are you her friend? If possible, please co to see her tomorrow. She’s in the hospital all alone.”
Turns out, it wasn’t Zhan Qing.
Chi Yue imdiately perked up, “I’ll go right now, can you give the address?”
The man told her the hospital and room number, Chi Yue quickly changed clothes and grabbed her bag to head out.
Fu Rongyin ca out of the bathroom and didn’t see Chi Yue. He searched around but couldn’t find her, so he took out his phone to call her, only to see her ssage as soon as he unlocked it.
[Lin Wanyun is in the hospital. I’m going to see her, take good care of Mianmian.]
Fu Rongyin’s brow furrowed in confusion.
Lin Wanyun is in the hospital, why is she going to join in?
He dialed Zhan Qing’s number, and as soon as the call was connected, he started, “Keep your own woman in check, why are you calling mine away in the middle of the night?”
There was a mont of hesitation on the other end, then a female voice answered, “Sorry, Zhan Qing took my phone by mistake. When he returns, I’ll have him call you back.”
Fu Rongyin was stunned.
How did Zhan Qing end up mixed up with another woman?
Fu Rongyin’s brow furrowed even more, and without saying another word, he dialed Chi Yue’s number.
Chi Yue lived close to the hospital, and when Fu Rongyin’s call ca through, she had just gotten out of the car.
“What’s up? Is Mianmian looking for ?”
“No, have you seen her yet?”
Chi Yue walked into the inpatient departnt, looking for the room, “Not yet, is sothing wrong?”
“Nothing wrong, see if Zhan Qing is there when you get to the room.”
With that request, Chi Yue beca even more puzzled, but she agreed anyway.
As they spoke, Chi Yue found the room, inside was a man with his back turned to the door, seemingly looking at sothing.
Assuming he was Zhan Qing, Chi Yue knocked on the door. The man turned around, but it wasn’t Zhan Qing.
Chi Yue imdiately pushed the door open and looked warily at this stranger, “Who are you? Why are you here?”
Upon seeing it was Chi Yue, the man smiled, “You must be the one who called. Since you’re here, I’ll be on my way. By the way, she has a head injury and might not wake up so soon.”
Chi Yue walked to the bedside upon hearing this, and indeed saw Lin Wanyun unconscious with her eyes closed.
“I’m relieved soone is here to look after her, I’ll leave it to you then.”
Seeing the man about to leave, Chi Yue stopped him, “Wait a mont.”
The man’s steps halted, “Is there anything else?”
“Where is her family?”
Lin Wanyun’s admission to the hospital ought to be known to the Zhan Family, yet no Zhan Family mbers were seen around, which was puzzling.
The man’s eyes briefly flickered with an unusual emotion before he spoke, “She was brought in by ambulance, just her alone.”
Chi Yue was completely taken aback.
“Her test results aren’t out yet. Later, if you want to know anything, you can ask the doctor.”
The man left, but Chi Yue remained in a daze because of his words.
If what he said is true, then why would the Zhan Family do such a thing?
“Chi Yue~”
Chi Yue turned around, only to see Lin Wanyun had sohow opened her eyes.
She tried to prop herself up to sit, but Chi Yue quickly stopped, “Don’t move, the doctor said you have a concussion and need to stay in bed and rest.”
Upon hearing she had a concussion, Lin Wanyun smiled self-deprecatingly, “Getting into fights and ending up with a concussion, how embarrassing.”
Chi Yue sighed and sat down beside the bed, “What happened? How did you end up fighting? No one from ho ca with you to the hospital, and Zhan Qing is too busy to co?”
