In the monts of her hesitation, the door opened from the inside, and Fu Rongyin appeared before her.
"What’s the matter?"
Zhan Youyou was first taken aback, then pushed past Fu Rongyin and walked inside, she made a full round to assure there were no traces of another woman, and only then did her expression ease.
"Qi Yizhou, why didn’t you open the door for so long?"
Fu Rongyin casually lifted his gaze, "Bathroom."
Fu Xingchuan laughed out loud, drawing the attention of both Fu Rongyin and Zhan Youyou.
Fu Xingchuan said, "Your fiancée thought you were sneaking around with soone inside, and she, well, didn’t dare to go in."
"Fu Xingchuan, do you believe I will cut off your tongue?"
Fu Xingchuan shrugged, "If you really want to cut it, what can I do?"
Fu Xingchuan had known Zhan Youyou for a long ti, and they always bickered upon eting. Compared to Zhan Youyou’s willfulness and ruthlessness, Fu Xingchuan’s dandyism was really nothing much.
If he hadn’t been worried about Chi Yue getting together with Fu Rongyin, he wouldn’t have wanted to deal with Zhan Youyou for so long.
But still, if Chi Yue wasn’t here, where could she go?
Chi Yue ca out from the room’s balcony, walked around the courtyard, and then slowly made her way to the front yard.
Passing by a corner, Fu Xingchuan suddenly appeared, and Chi Yue couldn’t stop in ti, bumping straight into him.
Barely steadying herself, Fu Xingchuan’s mocking voice resounded overhead, "Sneaking around, were you off stealing a mont with soone?"
Chi Yue had already cald down and rely glanced at him dismissively, "I was afraid of getting in the way of your philandering, so I ca out for so fresh air."
"Is that so?" Fu Xingchuan’s tone was laden with implication.
Chi Yue pretended not to notice and returned to the main hall.
Fu Rongyin and Zhan Youyou had already co back, and just like in the beginning, they were attending to the guests. Even as Fu Rongyin passed by her, he acted as if he did not see her.
If it hadn’t been for what had happened in the resting room, Chi Yue wouldn’t have believed that soone as cold-appearing as him could do what he did.
The night passed without any further incidents.
Fu Xingchuan went to get the car and told Chi Yue to wait for him at the entrance.
After waiting a while, a car stopped in front of her, and the unfamiliar driver told her: "Miss Chi, the young master has summoned you."
Chi Yue’s eyes filled with caution, "Who is your young master?"
"Qi Yizhou, Young Master Qi."
Chi Yue didn’t move, "Where does he want you to take ?"
The driver glanced at the slowly crowding main gate and lowered his voice, "The young master said if you don’t go, tonight’s event will be reported to the Zhan Family."
The events of tonight in the resting room were known only to her and Fu Rongyin. After much hesitation, Chi Yue got into the car.
She sent a ssage to Fu Xingchuan saying she was going back to the hotel, partly to disclose her whereabouts and partly to let him know so he wouldn’t worry.
At the hotel, the driver handed her a room card and left.
Chi Yue, holding the room card, realized the room number was the sa one she had been staying in before.
What exactly did Fu Rongyin want to do?
As she arrived at the door, Fu Xingchuan called, asking where she was.
Chi Yue said she was at the hotel and would not co back tonight.
Fu Xingchuan imdiately started speaking in a sarcastic tone, telling her not to harbor any hopes for Fu Rongyin and instead, to set her sights on him.
Chi Yue, not in the mood to argue, responded carelessly and hung up the phone.
The next second, the door was opened, and Fu Rongyin stood before her, taking advantage of her distraction to pull her inside.
"How co you’re here?"
The man had just taken a shower, his bathrobe loosely draped, revealing wide expanses of his chest muscles, and his hair, still wet, dripped water from the tips.
